She can't seem to move anything. Her senses aren't quite what they're supposed to be. And she's almost sure that some of her memories are missing, but that part has never stopped her before. This latest defeat -- the one which ended with glowing roots closing out the last of the outside light, and she's pretty certain she remembers what 'light' is supposed to do -- that's just a minor setback! Because something of Opaline Arcana yet remains, and where there's a mind, there's a chance to plot a way back.

She can still think.
She can always think.

Sweet Apple Acres is as old as Ponyville, if not older. The Apple family, led by Granny Smith, has been a pillar of the community for generations. However, for all of the good will that exists for this family there are rumors and stories about them that are only whispered in the shadows. One of the rumors involves what the family does with the money.

Two griffons Leo and Pollo hear the story about the money and decide to rob Sweet Apple Acres.

Pinkamena knows nothing of the world. All she has ever seen or known is the misery she lives in, and the dark, endless wasteland.

And all she can do is question why.

Why life is meant to be this way.

The Mane Seven explore a distant island several miles off the coast of Equestria. What they see fills their hearts with dread. How can this be? How can there be a land so silent? So empty?

There’s no end to the monsters that lurk in the dark.

Ghosts, werewolves, mad scientists, cultists, mutants, zombies, vampires, aliens and more lie in wait in the dark corners of Equestria, terrorizing the night. But the most infamous and dangerous of them all is the legendary witch Twilight Sparkle, with a five hundred million bit bounty on her head.

Seeking fame and fortune, Rainbow Dash sets out to defeat the legendary witch and collect the massive reward. The one thing she wasn't counting on was Twilight being less evil than she expected.
