My name is Luke Vaneer. I don't know how I got here or what I'm doing here in the first place, but this crazy, backward world of Equestria... is actually quite nice. I've managed to find myself a job, a place to stay, and I've become good friends with the town's local heroes and other friendly ponies.

However, what I may be missing in my life, even before I was transported to this world, was love. I was never a ladies man, nor was I always outgoing. I've always thought love would find me, but luckily this Hearth's Warming I think I may have a chance to shoot my shot with a certain blue pegasus I've been crushing over.

It begins with the report of a break-in on the news and leads into a mystery that Sunset and her friends find themselves looking into. At the same time, a new student at Canterlot High begins making waves that ripple across the student body. Sunset begins to question just who this boy is as their sleuthing starts to point to him being involved.

During another year's festive Hearth's Warming Eve traditions, Pinkie Pie livens up the celebratory holiday with her best friends by bringing in Cards Against Equestria. This game is only shared between the best of friends, and the worst of ponies.

How will the friends' friendship be able to stand up against such a nasty challenge?

Also, this story is set after the events of Season 8 of MLP:FiM.

And drain the students' negative emotions to grow powerful enough to take over the world. Sunset can handle it, though. Even if it means juggling the woman she loves with the friends that are like family to her.

Written to the prompt of, but not an entry for, Oroboro's Sunset Shipping Contest. I had originally intended to only edit a friend's entry, but I had so much fun with the idea of a Sundagio story I decided to try writing one myself.
