This story is a sequel to Blueblood Takes Over Equestria

Gilda has been in something of a rough patch lately, working dead-end job to dead-end job with nary a clue where to even find a dead-end job that doesn't completely suck. She's worked for complete idiots, she's worked for complete jerks, she's worked for stuffy tight-wads, but her newest boss is something else.

The trick is figuring out what that something is.

Reading the first story not necessary for understanding this one.

The historian Daydream Glare has written an essay on Gryphon kind and culture. Obviously, none of this is canon, and it borrows slight amounts from a few other fics. In general, most of this just head-canon that I wanted to write down. It ended up being almost 3000 words, so now it's posted here. If it's popular enough, I'll make an MST'd version where Princess Celestia, one or more of the Mane cast, and Daydream edit and leave foot-notes.

This story is a sequel to Good Trooper Gilda

Gilda has been a fugitive, a refugee, a prisoner of war, and a bat-hen to Equestria's fussiest unicorn. But it wasn't until she took 'the Princess's bit', that she began to know something about what it meant to be responsible for the welfare of others, even if the others in question happened to be the pack of imbeciles, blackguards, con-ponies, and bat-ponies who had been fool enough to answer her captain's call to the standard.

A crystalline standard which had not been seen in the living world for over a thousand years.

And although Captain Gleaming Shield and her motley band of raw recruits and shifty bat-ponies aimed to do nothing more exotic and dangerous than put a foreign princess on her proper throne, there are other things stirring in the shadows.

Like calls to like, and the revival of ancient battle-colors may lead to the revival of other, darker memories upon which the rays of Celestia's sun lay lightly and infrequently.

This story is a sequel to Bulletproof Heart: The Great, The Powerful, and the Bulletproof

When he left Spurhoof, Sheriff Cranky Doodle handed his badge to Code Red. Why? Heck if Red knows. Not that he's complaining, being a sheriff in a tiny town like this is easy! Just pretend to have a backbone and enjoy the cushy position.

Until the day an unknown pony starts camping on the roof of the Wagon Train Clothier and firing warning shots at anypony who comes close. As if that's not bad enough, now a posse of drifters have arrived who look like they're planning something unpleasant. Suddenly, being sheriff of Spurhoof isn't all that great. But Red's got the badge, so he's supposed to do something about it.

May the Sisters spare him.

Written for the 'Write an Episode' Challenge, partially because the rules intrigued me.

Story is set during the events of the as-yet unreleased Bulletproof Heart sequel. It's not necessary to have read the original to understand these events, although it would help to fully grasp some of the background.

Cover art was found using a Bing search. Might apply a more customized one later.

Thanks to Merc the Jerk and Wanderer D for pre-reading!

Deciding that Fluttershy did such a great job with Discord, Celestia sends King Sombra, Queen Chrysalis, and Gilda to Ponyville to be cured of their villainous ways. All of this as Ponyville runs to win 'nicest village of the year' award for the thirteenth time running, while trying not to win the 'most disaster prone village of the year' award. Discord couldn't be more amused.

It's a hectic time for the mane six and a terrible time to be the mayor of Ponyville.

This story is a sequel to Firefly: Whole New Verse

They say that Equestria was a paradise, I wanna believe that's true. It’s tough to get by these days with the Confederation cracking down. Still, a mare has to make a livin’ somehow.
– Rainbow Dash, Captain of Tranquility

With two fugitives on board and bills to pay Captain Dash starts looking for work, but it isn't too long before a job finds her. A few thefts and some smuggling are nothing new to the crew, and gemstones don't even take up much room. And with the size of the payout being offered, how could Dash say no? Only, the first gem they were supposed to pick up is missing. Why can't things ever be as easy as they sound?

Roseluck doesn't like to admit her crush to most ponies; the few she's told were too busy laughing to hear her explain herself. She's ready to give up on the notion of confessing her love, until the town jeweler offers his encouragement and even his assistance in helping her secure her "special somepony". Would he have been so enthusiastic in helping if he knew the "special somepony" is a "special somegriffon", she wonders?

UPDATE 03/31/13: This story is not dead. My current plan is to do one last minor revision to these chapters, then finish and publish Chapter 3. I know that there are a lot of people waiting for more of this story, and my last intent is to disappoint them. I will try my hardest to make it worth the wait.

Chapters (2)

It started in the distant, rough and tumble Griffin mining town of Shady Sands, infamous for being a town where just saying the wrong greeting could start a fight and not a day went by where a building didn't get wrecked by some wild brawl in the saloon.

Then the Sheriff came to town and started a revolution that swept across the Griffin Kingdoms.

Now, Twilight Sparkle is facing a strangely worthy test of her intellect and skill as a scholar as the Sheriff's strange weapons are now being considered for usage by the Royal Guard for law enforcement duties and Princess Celestia wants her faithful student to answer one rather difficult question.

How can simple foam darts fly truer than any arrow or spell, penetrate magical shields and armour, knock an adult pony out cold, level buildings and yet not leave a bruise on a foal?

The journey to find out the answer will be long, painful, and full of foam.

Set somewhere in Season Six. Definitely after Five.

Celestia's personal dungeon. A thing of mystery. A thing of terror.

So just what does it take to get banished to such a deep, dark, horrific place?

Not much, actually.
