Eerie Lantern would be happy to go through the rest of her life without seeing a living soul... after all, she can see ghosts. What could the living have to offer but endless heaps of trouble? Then one fateful evening, one of her worst fears comes true:

A pony wants to be her friend!

Moonlight Raven is a goth pony who doesn't shy away from the dark and grim. Her sister, Sunshine Smiles, is equally unflappable in her optimistic joy. Together, they are easily the most terrifying thing Eerie has ever faced.

So how can she get rid of them, and ensure nopony else ever bothers her again?

Uh... preferably without murder? Sheesh! As if she needed to be haunted by any more disgruntled murder victims...

Death and Violence tags for the sorrowful recollection of a ghost's demise.

Moonlight Raven enjoys darkness and gloom. Nopony understands her. If only she could meet a vampony or something, but what are the chances of that?

Mysterious shops that aren't there the next day are common in many worlds that have at least some magic to them. They appear in a variety of forms, from shady booths in exotic bazaars to squirrely hucksters with infinite-capacity trenchcoats to cosplay supply tables at convention vendor halls. But the classic, poorly lit store overstocked with mysterious trinkets is a timeless symbol of the plot device salesman's art, and Equestria is no different. Canterlot alone has eight of them, none of which maintain a single address for more than a week at a time and all of which reinforced by wards that protect them from angry customers looking for refunds.

None of that is going to stop the pair of angry orange hind legs approaching the front door of one at rapid velocity. After all, you have to buy something to count as a customer.

Inspired by the Time Action Glory Challenge's "April Tomfoolery" prompt and the pictured Starbucks menu item, which really did exist at one point in time.
Rated Teen for very mild innuendo and much less mild bodily processes.

Moonlight Raven prefers the thoughtful solitude of the night, the soft shadows of moonlight and the peaceful silence of a slumbering city.

After three years apart, Sunshine Smiles visits her... odd 'soul' sister, Moonlight Raven. The broody mare, having taken an opportunistic trail into a cushy life at Canterlot, struggles to understand what she wants out of her life. Both welcome and unwelcome, her sister's big re-entrance into it sparks deep, meaningful and inscrutable soul searching.

...if Sunshine would give her some peace and quiet first.
