Following there failure against the Rainbooms, Aria Blaze goes off on her own to blow of steam, while doing so she meets someone who in her opinion might not be The Worst.
They say that opposites attract, well let's test out that theory. Artemis Arrow(Likes to be called Arrow) and his Family have moved to Canterlot city from Manehatten and he's about to start a Canterlot High. But, before he even starts he has an unexpected encounter with a somewhat broken Siren.
I know not that good of a description I'll work on it.

We come to Canterlot park at about 4 o'clock in the afternoon where a young man carrying a violin case was walking to his new house, but decided to take the long way home. He has midnight blue skin, messy silver hair with light blue highlights and silver eyes. He was wearing a pair of black dress pants, a white short sleeve dress shirt with a blue vest over it, and a pair of black dress shoes. A white crescent moon could be seen on the back of his vest.
“Clear skies, shining sun and a cool breeze. It's official, today is a fantastic day.” The boy said stretching his arms out with a smile on his face. He then looks over to a small bench under a large tree and walks over to it.
“Might as well take a enjoy the nice day before I head home.” The boy said before sitting down on the bench. He took a deep breath and looked up to the sky. “New town, new people, and new opportunities for me and my sweetheart to show off.” The boy said hugging his violin case.
Craw! Craw!
The boy looked up to the tree he was under and saw a small black bird in the tree. “A raven?” He asked staring at the black bird. The raven looked to the boy and flew down to the ground in front of the boy. The raven stared at the boy and the boy returned the stare.
“Ok this is getting creepy.” The boy thought. The raven then looked to the tree cause the boy to also look up and see a dove looking down at both of them.
Qlow! Qlow!
The boy looked back at the raven who looked like it was glaring at the dove. “I’m sensing a bit of tension between you two.” He said scratching the back of his head.
CRAW! CRAW!
With that the raven flew off into the sky and the dove shook its head before flying off after it. The boy just watched the two birds fly off with a confused look on his face.
“Well, that was strange.” He said.
Zzzz...Zzzz
The boy then felt his phone vibrating in his pocket.
“Hello?” The boy said answering his phone
“Artemis where are you, you should’ve been home an hour ago?”
“I’m just walking around the city mom, I’m on my way back right now.” The boy known as Artemis said getting up from the bench.
‘Well hurry up, dinner's almost ready and you know how your sister gets when she has to wait for food.”
“You act like you’re not the same way mom.” Artemis said with a smirk.
“Don’t get smart with me young man or you’ll be going hungry tonight.”
“Ok sorry, I’ll be home soon. Bye.” With that he ended the call and put his phone in his pocket. “That lady just can’t take a joke.” Artemis said with a chuckle. He then began walking out of the park and headed for home.
“Wonder what’s she’s making tonight? I hope it’s cheeseburgers.” Artemis said as his mouth started watering. While Artemis was thinking about his dinner he failed to notice a person wearing a hoodie walking towards him. He bumped into the person, causing them to fall to the ground.
“HEY, WATCH WHERE YOU’RE GOING DUMBASS!!” The person yelled. Artemis snapped out of his thoughts and turned to see the person in the hoodie on the ground.
“Oh man, I’m so sorry.” Artemis said going over to the person on the ground. “Are you ok?” He asked holding out a hand only for the person the smack his hand away.
“No, I’m not okay and you knocking me down didn't help.” The person said angrily.
“I said I was sorry, calm down.” Artemis said putting his hands up defensively. The person then pulled their hoodie down revealing a girl with light violet skin, purple hair with aquamarine highlights in twin-tails and mulberry eyes.
“Don’t tell me to calm down!” She said. The Artemis looked at the girl who was glaring at him.
“Come on no need to be angry, it was an accident.” He said trying his best to calm the twin-tailed girl down.
“I’ll be as angry as I want!” The girl snapped. Artemis knew he wasn't going to get anywhere with this girl and her temper.
“Just chill twin-tail, I'm not trying to-” Artemis was then cut mid sentence by a punch to the gut. Artemis fell to his knees holding his stomach.
“AGH! W...what’d you do... that for!?” Artemis said trying to catch his breath.
“Don't call me twin-tail, you idiot!” The girl growled before walking off. Artemis slowly got up off the ground and rubbed his stomach.
“That girl needs to work on her attitude, she didn’t have to hit me.” He said in a slightly annoyed tone. Artemis then took a deep breath and continued on home.
Timeskip
Artemis arrived at his house and opened the door. “I'm home, what's for din-” “HA!” Artemis was quickly tackled to the ground by a girl a few inches shorter than him. She had skin the color of the blue sky, that clashed with her silvery blue eyes. Her silver hair was held up in a ponytail by a dark blue hair tie. She wore a light blue tank top with a white jacket, a light blue skirt with a dark blue crescent moon on the right side and a pair of white boots with golden stars on both sides. A distinct gold star could be seen on the front of her tank top.
“Hi Arty!” The girl said with a smile.
“Hey Shortstack.” Artemis said ruffling the girl's hair.
“Diana, get off of your brother and wash up for dinner.” Artemis and the girl, known as Diana both tuned to see a tall woman looking at the two. She had long silver hair reaching down to her waist. Her silvery blue eyes sparkled with her sky blue skin. She was wearing a black long sleeve sweater with a big white star on the front, a long white skirt with a white crescent moon on the right side, and a pair of black heels.
“You heard her little sis, get off.” Artemis said with a chuckle. Diana jumped off of her brother allowing him to get back up.
“Second time today I've been knocked to the ground.” The mother and Diana looked at him in confusion.
“Second? When was the first?” The mother asked.
“On my way home I bumped into this girl and knocked her down by accident. I tried to apologize, but she wasn't having any of it and she punched me in the gut.” Artemis said rubbing his stomach. Before Diana could ask if he was ok, their mother ran over to her lifted his shirt and saw a big bruise on his stomach.
“Oh my gosh, are you alright!? Do you need to go to the hospital, do you need to lie down, where is this girl!? No one messes with my kids NOBODY!” The mom yelled in anger. Artemis quickly put a hands on his mother’s shoulders.
“Selene calm down, I’m fine. No need to go on a rampage, we just moved in and we don’t need the neighbors thinking you're crazy.” He said calming his mother down.
Selene then took a deep breath and she smiled at her son, “I’m sorry, I’m just glad you’re ok sweetie.” She said hugging her son. Artemis smiled and hugged her back.
“Hey! What about me?” Selene and Artemis looked to Diana who was pouting a bit.
“Oh get over here shortstack.” Artemis said extending his arm. Diana quickly smiled and joined in the hug causing the small family to laugh a bit.
“Ok kids go wash up, your dinners are getting cold.” Selene said.
“Yes eating time!” Diana cheered.
“Hey, that’s my line.” Artemis said with a fake pout.
“Also Artemis, you call me by my first name again and you're grounded.” Selene said in a stern tone. Artemis gulped and nodded while Diana was giggling. With that the family got wash up and proceeded to the dinner table with was filled with...
“CHEESEBURGERS!” Artemis and Diana cheered. Selene smiled at her kids.
“I figured we celebrate moving in with a feast and I know how much you both love cheeseburgers so I-” Before Selene could finish, Artemis and Diana sat down to the table and began eating.
“Hey! Leave some for me you pigs!” Selene shouted before joining her kids at the table. After dinner ended Artemis offered to wash the dishes only for his mom to turn him down, so he went up stairs to his room.
“What a day.” He said to himself before looking to the mirror in his room. He then lifted up his shirt and looked at the bruise he got from the twin-tailed girl earlier.
“Man that girl can punch.” He said rubbing his stomach. He then walked over to his bed and laid down.
“Oh well, I shouldn’t worry about it too much. She might have just been in a bad mood and I probably caught her at a bad time.” Artemis said staring at the ceiling.
“If I run into her again I hope she’s in a better mood. Then I can apologize.” Artemis said before drifting to sleep. While Artemis was sleeping the dove from earlier was on the roof of his house.
Craw! Craw!
The dove turned to see the raven who was resting on a telephone pole and glaring at dove once again.
Qlow! Qlow!
The raven’s glare intensified and it took off into the night. The dove looked at bit sad and took off after the raven.
Artemis slowly opened his eyes to the sound of his alarm clock and let out a yawn.
“Good morning world and all who inhabit it!” He said in a cheerful tone. He then got out of bed and headed for the bathroom only to find that it occupied.
“You almost done in there Shortstack?” Artemis asked knocking on the door.
“Almost give me a few more minutes. Artemis knew that when his sister said a few minutes she meant a few hours, so he decided to use the bathroom downstairs. When he made it downstairs, he saw his mom sitting in the living room reading book.
“Morning mom.” He said. Selene looked up and smiled at her son.
“Morning sweetie, your sister hogging the bathroom upstairs?” She asked.
“Are you shocked?” Artemis asked.
“Nope, she took more after me than her father.” Selene said with a proud smile. Artemis just rolled his eyes.
“You two are impossible.” He said.
“Deal with it.” His mother said before going back to her book. Artemis shook his head and proceeded to the bathroom. After about 20 minutes, the young came out of the bathroom and headed for his room to get dressed.
“I better make a good first impression.” Artemis said taking out some clothes from his closet. The boy quickly got dressed and looked in the mirror. He was wearing a black hoodie with blue flames on the arms with a crescent moon on the back, a pair of gray pants and a pair of black boots.
“Looking good buddy.” He said before heading back downstairs for breakfast. He then saw his mom grabbing her purse and her jacket. “Not cooking this morning mom?” Artemis asked.
“Sorry sweetie, have to head to the Concert Hall with my manager. The owner wants me to play a piece for an upcoming event and he’d like to discuss the arrangements.” Selene said.
“That’s great, What kind of event is it?” Artemis asked.
“I’m not sure, but I’m going to find out. Can you feed your sister?” Selene asked. Artemis thought for a moment and smiled at his mom.
“Oh I can handle that.” He said.Selene smiled back and walked towards the door.
“Don’t kill your sister, See you later.” She said before walking out the front door.
“See ya.” Artemis said waving. He then called out to his sister.
“Come on Shortstack, it breakfast time!” He said.
“Coming!” She said before running down the stairs.
“What's for breakfast?” She asked. She then saw her brother walking into the kitchen and grabbing a few eggs from the fridge.
“Where’s mom?” She asked.
“Mom had to leave early and asked me to handle breakfast.” Artemis said. Diana nodded and walked over to the dining room table.
“Sweet, can I get two pop-tarts?” She asked.
“Diana, those things are 90% sugar.” Artemis said.
“Oooooh, do we have anything 100%?” She asked excitingly.
“We’re having pancakes Shortstack, you want blueberry, strawberry or banana?” The boy asked.
“Why not all three?” Diana asked.
“Just pick one.” Artemis said shaking his head.
“Fine, Banana.” Diana said with a pout.
“Oh don't be like that, you’re getting most of them anyway.” Artemis said cracking an egg. Diana raised an eyebrow at this.
“Why?” She asked. “I’m making room for lunch, I hear the food at Canterlot High is incredible.” Artemis said. Diana gave her brother a deadpanned look.
“Is food all you think about?” She asked.
“Coming from the girl who ate most of the cheeseburgers last night.” Artemis said with a smirk. Diana crossed her arms and pouted.
“No comment.”
After Artemis and Diana ate their breakfast, they both grabbed their bookbags and headed out for school.
“You think this place will be anything like our school back in Manehattan and did you have to bring you Violin with you?” Diana asked.
“Nah, I think it will be better. I don’t know why, but I feel this place will be good for us and my sweetheart goes wherever I go.” Artemis said with a hugging his violin case.
“Yeah, you maybe right and you’re a weirdo.” Diana said smiling back. Artemis just rolled his eyes.
“You don’t have to worry little lady, Canterlot High is the bestest school ever.”
“See Shortstack, even this girl agrees with me.” Artemis said. The siblings walked in silence for a bit before noticing something. They both turned to see a girl with pink poofy hair walking next to them. The girl noticed that they were staring at her and she began smiling and waving.
“Hello.” She said. Artemis and Diana looked at one another and then back to the girl.
“Umm….hi, can we help you miss?” Artemis said.
“Yes you can!” The girl then pulled out a small notepad and a pen.
“What are both of your favorite desserts?” She asked. Artemis and Diana were confused by the question, but answered anyway.
“Red velvet cake.” Artemis said.
“Snickerdoodles.” Diana said. The girls wrote down what they said and put the pen and notepad in her...hair.
“Awesome, I’ll see you two later.” She said before skipping away. The siblings watched her leave and they were very confused.
“That was-” “Yeah it was.” Artemis said cutting his sister off. The two just shrugged their shoulders and continued on to school. After about 10 minutes they reached Canterlot High and they stared at the huge building.
“Well, here we are.” Diana said with a smile.
“Alright this is going to be great.” Artemis said.
“Ok, we’re supposed to go and meet my guide at the lobby, Shall we?” He asked.
“Allons-y!” Diana said as she began walking.
“Hey, that’s my line.” Artemis said following his sister. Once they got in side they saw a group of students (5 boys and one girl about Diana’s age) were waiting on a bench or on a wall for something.
“Excuse us, are you all waiting for the tour guide as well?” Artemis asked. A boy in a red biker jacket walked up to Artemis and smiled.
“Yup, I’m guessing you’re new here too?” The boy asked. Before Artemis could answer, a boy with slicked back, black hair and bandages around his arms spoke up first.
“He wouldn’t be asking he wasn’t.” The boy said. The boy in the biker jacket rolled his eyes and turned back to Artemis.
“Ignore him, Daemon’s the name.” He said extending his left arm. Artemis smiled back at Daemon and grabbed shook his hand.
“Artemis, to meet-” Before Artemis could finish Daemon’'s hand suddenly fell off with Artemi still gripping it. There was a few seconds of silence before Diana spoke up.
“Oh no Artemis, his and came off. What should we do?” She said in a bored tone. Artemis just kept staring at the severed with a neutral expression on his face.
“Nice hand, well made too.” He said handing the severed limb back to Daemon who was both shocked and disappointed.
“Oh come on, that’s not what I wanted.” Daemon said in disappointment. The other students began to snicker at the boys failed prank.
“Nice one kid, he got all of us with that trick earlier.” The boy with sunglasses said.
“I have a cousin with a prosthetic arm, she pulled the same prank on me when we were kids.” Artemis explained.
“Well at least someone here has a brain around here.” A boy with green skin said with his arms crossed. The boy with the slicked back, black hair then walked up to Artemis.
“Name’s Straight Edge, nice to meet you and ignore the grump.” He said.
“HEY!” The green skinned boy yelled.
“Treble Mix is my name, good to see you again Arrow.” The boy in the sunglasses said. Artemis raised an eyebrow at this.
“Um, do I know you?” He asked.
“Well, yes and no. You’ve met me before, but that was before you were rebooted.” Treble said. Everyone looked at Treble as if he’d lost his mind.
“What are you-” “Just don’t man, he’s been spouting that nonsense ever since we showed up. It’s better not to question it, I’m Zero Gravity by the way.” The boy with gray skin and black hair said. “And this little bundle of joy next to me is my sister, Solar Wind.” Zero said ruffling his little sister’s hair.
“Unless you want a prosthetic arm too bro, you’ll leave my hair alone.” Solar said in a calm tone. Zero quickly removed his hand from his sister’s hand and put it in his pocket. Diana smiled at the girl.
“I like her.” She said. Solar smiled back at Diana and Artemis smiled too.
“And what about you?” Artemis said looking at the boy with green skin.
“Jon Warhawk, but just Warhawk is fine.” The boy said. Artemis could tell the boy wasn’t very social, but he could tell he was a good person.
“Guess it’s time for a proper introduction, I’m Artemis Arrow and this is my sister.” Artemis said gesturing to his sister.
“Diana Arrow, pleasure to meet you all.” Diana said with a slight bow. Solar giggled a bit.
“Aww, such manners.” She said. Diana giggled as well.
“Believe me she’d not as sweet as she lets on.” Artemis said but getting smacked in the head by his sister.
“I deserved that.” Artemis said rubbing the back of his head.
“You bet you did.” Diana said with a victorious smile. Everyone began laughing after that, even Warhawk chuckled a bit at the siblings antics.
“Excuse me.’ Everyone turned to see a girl with light amber skin, hair that looked like fire and cyan eyes.
“Are you the students that I’m supposed to to be showing around?” She asked. Artemis smiled and stepped forward.
“We are!” He said.
“Great, Welcome to Canterlot High. I’m Sunset Shimmer and I’ll be your Guide today.” The girl said with a smile.
Sunset had shown the group most of the school in about 10 minutes and both Artemis and Diana were liking it.
“This school is awesome.” Diana whispered to her brother.
“I know, I can’t wait to see the music room.” Artemis said in an excited tone.
“Alright, that's the end of out tour. Anyone have any questions before we finish up?” Sunset asked. Artemis quickly raised his hand.
“Yes Artemis.”
“Just one: do you have anyone named Alonzo in this school?” He asked. Everyone but Diana looked at Artemis in confusion.
“I don't think so, is that important?” Sunset asked.
“Eh, not really.” Artemis said shrugging his shoulders.
“Alright then, you all have your schedules and your locker numbers. Again welcome to CHS, I hope you all have a great year.” Sunset said with a smile.
RING!!
“Class time, You all have a good day.” Sunset said before running off to her class.
“WE'RE FREE!” Treble Cheered.
“Did you have to yell in my ear dumbass?’ Warhawk said covering his ears and walking off.
“I’m with Warhawk man, you need to chill.” Straight said.
“I have no chill, ask the authors.” Treble said. Everyone just shook their heads.
“Well it was nice meeting all of you, hope to see you all later.” Straight said walking away.
“Same here, later people.” Zero said as he and his sister walked away as well. Soon everyone was walking off in different directions and Artemis and Diana were the only ones left.
“Did you have to ask if there was an Alonzo here?” Diana said.
“I had too, you know great it would be if we met someone called Alonzo then I could said Allons-y Alonzo every time.” Artemis said. Diana just gave her brother a deadpan stare.
“You are a weird person.” She said.
“Coming from the girl who dreams of being the captain of a pirate ship.” Artemis said with a smirk.
“I haven’t had that dream since I was five….but it will happen someday.” Diana said looking away. Artemis rolled his eyes and chuckled.
“Whatever you say sis. We better get to class, you behave yourself ok Shortstack.” Artemis said ruffling his sisters hair.
“Oh come on Arty, you should know me by now.” Diana said in an innocent tone. Artemis then flicked his sister in the forehead.
“Behave.” He said.
“Ok killjoy, I’ll behave.” She said rubbing her forehead.
“Good, i’ll see you later.” Artemis said.
“Later.” Diana said going off in another direction. Once his sister was out of sight, Artemis continued on to his class.
“Ok time to start my day.” He said in a cheerful tone. Just as he was about to turn the corner, a girl with arctic blue white skin and cerulean colored hair with persian blue highlights tied in a ponytail ran past him with tears in her eyes.
“Hey, are you alright?” Artemis’s question wasn’t answered as the girl kept running down the hallway. Artemis was tempted to follow the girl, but he needed to get to class.
“If I see her later, I’ll ask her why she was crying.” He said continuing on to his class. After a few minutes, Artemis found his homeroom class and walked in. Upon entering, he saw a lady with pale yellow skin, raspberry hair and chartreuse colored eyes smiling at him.
“Hello, Artemis Arrow I presume?” She asked.
“Yup that’s me.” Artemis said smiling back at the lady.
“Pleasure to meet you dear, I’m Ms.Roseluck.” She said holding out her hand.
“The pleasure is mine Ma’am.” Artemis said grabbing her hand and shaking it.
“Please no Ma’am, makes me feel old. You can have a seat wherever you’d like and I’ll give you a list of what you need after class.” She said.
“Thank you.” With that Artemis looked around for a seat and saw a boy with light blue skin and dark blue hair sitting alone reading a comic book.
“Hey you mind?” He asked. The boy looked up at Artemis and smiled.
“No not at all, you new?” He asked.
“Am I that obvious?” Artemis asked sitting down.
“Little bit, you got that whole ‘I hope I don’t make a complete fool of myself’ face.” The boy said with a chuckle.
“That bad huh?” Artemis asked.
“Yea, Swift Justice.” The boy said.
“Artemis Arrow.” Artemis replied.
“Sweet name, not as cool as mine, but still cool.” Swift said. Artemis chuckled at the boy’s statement.
“I was right, this place is going to be great.”
“I’m going to kill whoever wrote this.” Aria said crumpling up a piece of paper and throwing it on the ground. Adagio picked it game up and put in her pocket.
“I know your mad Aria, but-” “MAD! Try border lined pissed! I may treat Sonata all that well, but this, THIS is taking things too far!” Aria said before punching a locker. Adagio flinched a bit and put a hand on her sisters shoulder.
“Calm down, I’m not happy about this either but going on a rampage isn’t going to do anything.” She said. Aria was bit shocked at how Adagio was acting, but she was still to angry o care all that much.
“Whatever, I’ll see you later.” She said walking off. Adagio watched her sister leave and she sighed.
“This is all my fault.” She said. Aria continued walking through the hallway in a fit of rage.
“I can’t believe some insensitive, heartless, bastard would write something like that. I swear when I get my hands on them I’ll-” “So you’re saying that your this school has been attacked twice, once by a girl who turned into a demon and just recently by three sirens.” Aria looked ahead and saw the boy she punched yesterday and another boy walking towards her.
“It’s true man, the demon girl is actually a really nice girl now and the three sirens….Uh well they-oh” Swift said as in a worried tone. Artemis raised an eyebrow.
“Hey Swift, you ok?” He asked. Swift didn’t answer, he just began to sweat. Artemis then looked to where Swift was looking and he saw the girl that punched him yesterday. “Oh hi.” Artemis said waving at the girl. Swift then looked at Artemis.
“You know her!?” He asked in a frantic tone.
“Yea, I knocked her down by accident yesterday and she punched me in the gut.” Artemis explained. Aria glared at Artemis.
“Piss off, you deserved it.” Aria said angrily.
“I see you’re still angry, mind telling me why?” Artemis asking taking a step forward.
“What did I just say?” Aria asked with a growl. Swift quickly grabbed Artemis’s arm.
“Dude, just leave her alone. She’s the most violent of the three sirens.” He said. Artemis looked to Swift and then back to Aria.
“She’s one of the sirens you told me about.” He said pointing at Aria.
“You got a problem with that?” Aria asked crossing her arms.
“No, no I don’t.” Artemis said with a smile. Swift was very confused now, he was expecting Artemis to say something mean to Aria, but instead Artemis acted as if he was completely alright with this.
“I’ve never met a siren before it’s actually pretty awesome.” Artemis said. Swift and Aria both looked at Artemis as if he’d lost his mind.
“Awesome...AWESOME! Dude this girl and her sisters-” “I know you told me, they tried to take over the world, and?” Artemis asked shrugging his shoulders.
“What do you mean ‘And’, she-” “From what you told me, they were beaten by a group of girls called the Rainbooms, correct?” Artemis asked cutting Swift off.
“Yeah.” Swift answered.
“So, they aren't a threat to you anymore.” Artemis said with a smile. Aria didn’t know if Artemis with mocking her or genuinely trying to reassure the other boy.
“Artemis trust me, that girl and her sisters and nothing but trouble.” Swift said trying to get Artemis away from The twin-tailed girl.
“Yea, well I like trouble.” Artemis said walking up to Aria. Swift facepalmed at the boys action while Aria just stared at the boy walking up to here.
“Look sorry for knocking you over yesterday, I was pretty distracted and I’m sorry for what happened to you and your sisters.” Artemis said with a slight bow. Aria just stared at the boy for a few seconds before she started glaring at him.
“Look, I’m in a really bad mood right now and the last thing I need is some little boys pity.” She said coldly.
“Ouch, talk about cold. Keep up that tough girl act and you’ll never get the students to like you.” Artemis said with a chuckle. Aria gritted her teeth.
“I don’t need any of these asswipes to like me, i know how they feel about me and my sisters and they can all rot in hell for all I care!” She said angrily. Artemis could feel the anger coming off on her and it worried him a bit.
“Calm down Twin-Tail.” He said trying to calm Aria down. Aria then grabbed Artemis by his shirt and pulled him close.
“I will say this only once, it’s ARIA not Twin-Tail.” She growled. Swift was tempted to push the siren away from Artemis, but he was a bit scared the former siren would hurt him too. Artemis looked at the angry girl in front of him and looked into her mulberry eyes.
“Nice to meet you Aria, I’m Artemis and you have very pretty eyes.” He said with a smile. Swift and Aria froze at what he said and just stared at him.
“Artemis, I don’t think flattery is going to help you right now.” Swift said.
“I’m just telling the-OW!” Artemis was cut off by a slap to the face and he fell to the ground. He looked up to see Aria giving him a very harsh glare.
“Drop dead!” She said stomping past Artemis and Swift. Once she was out of sight, Swift went over to Artemis.
“You ok?” He asked.
“Yea I’m fine, but man that girls got one heck of an arm on her.” Artemis said rubbing his cheek.
“I told you not to mess with her man, she’s dangerous.” Swift said helping his friend up. Artemis dusted himself off and looked in the direction Aria walked off in.
“Angry yes, dangerous not so much.
With that, Swift and Artemis continued on to their next class unaware that a certain raven was looking at them in a nearby window.
Qlow. Qlow.
The raven turned to see the dove watching it from a nearby tree. The raven glared at the dove and took off once again with out saying a word causing the dove the shake it's head and take off after the raven.
To say the first day of school started out rough for Artemis would be an understatement, but all that didn’t matter to him because right now was his favorite time of the day.
“LUNCH!” Artemis cheered. Swift gave Artemis a look of confusion.
“It’s only food man, it’s no big deal.” Swift said shrugging his shoulders. Artemis slowly turned his head towards Swift.
“Since you just met me today, I’ll let that little comment slide.” Artemis said in a low tone. Swift got a slight chill up his spine, but shrugged it off.
“You must really love to eat if you’re being this serious about it.” He said grabbing a cheeseburger.
“Oh you have no idea.” Artemis replied. Swift looked over to Artemis and saw about 13 cheeseburgers on his tray.
“What….there’s no way you’re eating all of those!” He said in shock. Artemis just smirked.
“Just watch me.” He said walking away. Swift just stared at the boy and shook his head.
“First he tries to talk to one of the sirens and now he's trying to give himself a heart attack.” He thought as he followed Artemis. The two made there way to a table where three other boys were sitting.
“Sup Swift!” The boy with white hair said.
“Hey Soul.” Swift replied back with a smile. The boy now known as Soul smiled back and he looked to Artemis and his tray.
“Whoa dude. You trying to get a heart attack or what?” He asked.
“Nah I’m just hungry, I kinda skipped breakfast.” Artemis said.
“Well that explains it.” The boy with brown hair said.
“And here I thought you wanted to end up in the nurse’s office.” He said.
“Chill Rivet.” Soul said in a stern tone.
“I’m joking.” Rivet said with a chuckle.
“What’s our name kid?” He asked.
“Artemis. Artemis Arrow.” Artemis said with a smile. The third boy with black hair stood up and held out his hand.
“Nice to meet you Artemis, I’m Clyde.” He said. Artemis put his tray i on the table and shakes Clyde's hand.
“Nice to meet you Clyde.” He said.
“Now that introductions are out of the way, can we eat now?” Rivet asked bluntly. Clyde, Soul and Swift gave the boy a slight glare.
“Don’t mind him, he’s always like this.” Soul said.
“HEY!” Rivet snapped. Artemis chuckled and was about to sit down until his eyes caught Aria and another girl with who’s hair looked like a orange cotton ball and around them were a few of the bos he had met earlier.
“Actually I’ll see you guys later, I see a few people I know over there.” Artemis said pointing to the other table. The others looked and saw two of the Dazzlings sitting at that table.
“Are you insane, don’t go over there!” Rivet said spazzing out.
“He’s right man, it’s better if you stay away from those girls over there, they’re nothing but trouble.” Clyde said in a clam yet stern tone. It didn’t take long to notice that the other girl next to Aria was one of the other sirens that he had heard about.
“I’ve been trying to tell him that, but he didn’t listen to me and he got slapped because of it.” Swift explained. Soul just shook his head.
“Come on guys, I met one of them and she’s really nice. A bit out there, but nice.” He said.
“You’ve met one of them too?” Artemis asked.
“Yea, her name is Sonata and she’s alright with me.” Soul explained.
“You both are nuts, you know that?” Rivet asked. Soul rolled his eyes.
“Don’t listen to him, she really just a big kid.” Soul said with a smile. Artemis smiled back and nodded.
“Look Artemis, just trust us it’s better if you just stay with us and-” “He’s already gone.” Soul said cutting off Clyde with a smirk on his face. The others turned to see Artemis walking away with his tray.
“He has a deathwish.” Rivet said. Swift and Clyde nodded, but Soul just shook his head at his friends. As Artemis made his way over to the table he felt a hand on his shoulder which caused him to jump.
“Whoa chill out buddy, it’s just me.” Daemon said with a smile.
“Oh hey Daemon sorry, you surprised me.” Artemis said chuckling.
“I can see that, you heading over there too?” Daemon asked.
“Yeah, I kinda want to get to know the guys better and someone else.” Artemis said looking to Aria.
“Same here, I’ve been a bit curious about that Fuzzball over there.” Daemon said pointing to the orange haired girl.
“We’ll what are we waiting for?” Artemis asked. Daemon nodded and the two continued walking over to the table. Upon arriving the two sat down and to say thing got crazy from there would be an understatement.
“Hey People.” Artemis said with a smile.
“Sup’ losers.” Daemon greeted. Everyone looked over to them, a few gave smiles, a few were neutral and one was glaring at them….well more at Artemis than Daemon.
“Artemis, Daemon, what’s up? How’s your first day going?” Zero asked. Daemon and Artemis sat down.
“Going good so far.” Artemis answered.
“Same here.” Daemon said before looking to Adagio. “Good to see ya Fuzzball.” Daemon said with a smirk.
“It’s not Fuzzball jerk it’s Adagio! Get it Memorized!” Adagio said in a stern tone.
“You sound more like Axel from Kingdom Hearts.” Artemis commented. Aria’s eyes lit up when she heard that comment but she stayed quiet.
“You play Kingdom Hearts?” Zero asked.
“Of course it’s a great series no matter how complicated the story might be.” Artemis said.
“Can we please not turn this into a video game discussion?” Warhawk asked getting a bit annoyed.
“Sorry buddy.” Artemis said looking down a bit.
“It’s fine.” Warhawk said with a sigh. Everyone minus Aria began to chuckle a bit and they all began discussing different topics. Artemis then noticed Aria was the only one not socializing with the others.
“You’ve been awfully quiet there Twin-Tail.” Artemis said in a concerned tone. Aria glared at the boy.
“Do you want to get slapped again?” Aria asked angrily. That comment got everyone's attention. “Wait what?” Straight asked.
“She slapped you!?” Treble asked dramatically.
“Yup and I gotta say you’ve got one heck of an arm Twin-Tail.” Artemis said rubbing his cheek. Aria just scoffed and rolled her eyes.
“Why did you slap him?” Adagio asked curiously.
“Yea, what could he have possibly done to warrant that?” Warhawk asked. “Well you see..” Artemis began recapping the past two times he met Aria and while he was doing so, Aria anger was about to boil over. Warhawk also joined in the conversation telling the others about what the two girls really are.
“So he complimented you and you slap him….well I’ve heard weirder stories.” Treble said.
“So have I but none of them were this ridiculous. I mean come on, a world filled with candy-colored ponies. You really expect up to believe that?” Zero asked crossing his arms.
“I believe it.” Artemis said.
“So do I.” Daemon said. Zero and Straight looked at them as if they had lost it.
“What….I mean...how?” Zero asked.
“Well I was told by a boy named Swift and a few of his friends seem to confirm that the story is true as well.” Artemis explained. Aria was slightly shocked by the fact he knew it was true but quickly shrugged it off.
“Yea and Fuzzball over there told me everything as well earlier, I see no reason for her to lie to me.” Daemon said shrugging his shoulders. Before anything else could be said the group had heard the cafeteria noise go down.
“Did it just get quieter?” Straight asked.
“Yes it did” Warhawk answered. Just then the whole cafeteria burst out in Laughter and…

After all the craziness in the Cafeteria, Artemis was on his way to the gym.
“And here I thought this school wasn’t so….what’s the I’m looking for?” He asked himself.
“Hypocritical.” Artemis turned and saw Warhawk walking up to him.
“Exactly.” He said with a smile.
“Well as least I’m not the only one who noticed this school is filled with nothing but assholes.” Warhawk said with a slight growl.
“Hey!” Artemis said somewhat hurt.
“Not you! We may have just met today, but you’re one of the few people here I can actually stand.” Warhawk said.
“That means a lot buddy.” Artemis said with a chuckle.
“Don’t push your luck, you still have the rest of the year to make me hate you.” He said with a serious look on his face. Artemis just smiled and nodded his head.
“Where are you headed next?” He asked.
“Gym, You?” Warhawk asked.
“Same, I heard from Swift that the coach always welcomes the new students with dodgeball.” Artemis explained.
“Ugh, really?” Warhawk asked in an annoyed tone.
“Apparently, he also said that uh-” Artemis stopped mid sentence when he saw certain Twin-Tailed Siren walking out of the school.
“What is she doing, classes are about to start up again.” Artemis thought to himself.
“You alright man?” Warhawk asked snapping Artemis out of his thoughts.
“Huh, oh...yea I’m fine. Look I’ll meet you there later, There’s something I have to take care of real quick.” With that Artemis ran off leaving Warhawk with a confused look on his face.
“What was that about?” He asked himself. As Artemis ran outside he looked to his left and right but couldn't see Aria anywhere.
“Where did she go?” Artemis thought scratching the back of his head. He then decided to walk back inside the school he heard someone singing…..very badly I might add.

Artemis cringed at how off key the person singing was.
“Seriously, no one can be that bad and what makes it worse is that they're singing one of my favorite songs.” Artemis said covering his ears. He then followed the off key song ot the side of the school and found the source of the singing.
“Ugh, I Hate This!” Aria said angrily while sitting in a tree.
“I sound like a freakin’ banshee, damn Rainblossoms! It's bad enough that our magic was taken away from us, but did they have to take our voices too!” She said before punching the tree. She instantly regretted that decision and brought her fist close to her.
“Ah sweet Faust, that hurt!” Aria said rubbing her hand. Artemis watched the sirens antics and he chuckled.
“That’s gonna hurt for a while.” He said to himself before walking over to the siren. Aria then rested her back on the tree.
“I hate this, I hate this so much!” She said crossing her arms.
When you walk away you don’t hear me say, Please, oh baby don’t go! Simple and Clean is the way that you’re making me tonight, It's hard to let it go.
Aria’s eyes widened a bit when she heard the song she was singing, but whoever was singing it this time was sung it flawlessly. She then looked down and saw Artemis looking up at her with a smile on his face.
“W...was that you?” She asked in surprise. “Also shouldn’t you be in class, you don’t seem like the ditching type.” She said.
“Look who’s talking and yes that was me.” Artemis said with a smirk. Aria didn’t care much for his tone and glared at him.
“Watch what you said silver hair.” She growled.
“I'll keep that in mind Twin-Tail, so what are you doing out her all by your lonesome?” Artemis asked. Aria rolled her eyes and leaned back against the tree once again.
“Like it’s any of your business kid.” She said.
“Talk about giving someone the cold shoulder.” Artemis said with a chuckle. Aria just scoffed. “But in all seriousness, why aren’t you in class?” Artemis asked curiously.
“And I’ll answer you the same way, Why aren’t you, you stalking me or something?” She asked back.
“No, no! I saw you walking out and I wanted to see if you were ok.” Artemis said putting his hands up defensively. Aria just rolled her eyes.
“Look kid, I’m not in the mood for this right now, so I’ll ask this only once. Get Lost!” She said. Artemis just crossed his arms.
“Why are you being so cold, I’m just trying to help.” He said.
“I never asked for your help nor do I want it. Now Beat it!” Aria said coldly. Artemis shook his head and turned around with a sigh. Just as Artemis started walking though, he quickly noticed a large stone head his way. He quickly moved to the right, but then remembered who was behind him.
“OW!” Artemis turned around and saw Aria rubbing her head and glaring at the boy.
“You really must have a death wish, huh kid!?” She growled before jumping out of the tree.
“Hold on, it wasn’t me I swear.” Artemis said taking a few steps back. Aria wasn't listening though, she was just closing in on Artemis with rage in her eyes. Her walk was cut short though when she felt another rock hit her leg causing her to fall to the ground.
“AH!” She said holding her leg. Artemis saw this and went over to the Siren.
“Are you ok?” He asked in a worried tone. Aria didn’t say much because of her leg.
“That’s what you get you siren witch.” Artemis turned and saw three strange looking boys walking over to them. One of them was about Artemis’s height, another was abit taller than the first and muscular and the last one was very short.
“Who are you three and why did you throw that at her?” Artemis asked angrily.
“We’re the Diamond dogs and getting back at wich for what she did to us and the school.” One of the boys said.
“Yea our boss Rover doesn’t take kindly to freaks around here.” The short one said cracking his neck. Artemis couldn’t believe what he was hearing, were the students here really willing to hurt them for what they did. Artemis suddenly felt a hand on his chest that pushed him to the side.
“Get out of here kid, I can handle these punks.” Aria said before standing up and cracking her knuckles. Artemis looked at her like she had lost it.
“Are you crazy?” He asked.
“I said leave, I can handle a few morons and I don’t need you holding me back.” Aria said not taking her eyes off of the Diamond Dogs. Artemis then stood up and got in front of Aria.
“Violence solves nothing Twin-Tail, you and your sisters are already seen as monsters at school don’t-” “You think I give a damn about how this school sees me? Let me answer that for you, I don’t! The students here can all burn in the pit of Tartarus for all eternity for all I care.” She then pushed Artemis ut of her way and walked up to the Diamond Dogs.
“You little boys wanna play then come on!” She taunted. Artemis stared at Aria with wide eyes.
“She’s got guts I’ll give her that, but it’s still three against one.” Artemis thought. The three boys all growled and rushed Aria. Aria just watched as the three boy cam at her and she closed her eyes.
“Ugh why can't we just skip gym.” Soul groaned as he and the rest of the guys were changing in the locker room.
“Aw come on Soul it's not that bad, now quit complaining.” Rivet said.
“He's right Soul and who knows maybe he'll have us do something fun for once.” Artemis said smiling.
“You know as well as I do, the only thing Iron Will thinks is fun is dodgeball.” Soul said with a deadpanned look.
“He’s not wrong.” Warhawk said putting his shirt on.
“Look let’s just get this over with because we all know it’s going to be hell anyway.” Zero said as he began walking out the locker room. The others just nodded and followed him out. The boys made their way to the bleachers where the girls were waiting for them.
“What took you guys so long?” Rainbow asked.
“Blame Soul, he kept complaining for the past five minutes.” Rivet said as he sat next to Rainbow.
“Well excuse me for not liking sports.” Soul said sitting next to Sunset.
“Calm down babe, I heard that Iron Will is having us do something different today.” Sunset said patting her boyfriend on the back.
“Unless it has to do with our favorite game, I don’t care.” Soul said.
“Ha! The day Iron Will allows us to duel is the day I say Soul is as Awesome as me.” Rainbow said. Before anyone could say anything else Iron Will walked into the gym.
“Alright ladies, gentlemen and Treble-”
“HEY!” Treble yelled angrily.
“Today no dodgeball, no track, no basketball and no soccer. I’ve heard that there is a popular game going around town and I want to see if it as good as I heard it is.” Iron Will said crossing his arms. All the students eyes widened in shock.
“Is this really happening?” Rarity asked.
“If it is, Dash get ready to give Soul a compliment.” Clyde said with a smirk. Rainbow glared at Clyde, but before she could say anything Iron Will continued speak.
“Yes we'll be playing Duel Monsters and I'll be picking who gets to duel. Oh and just so you kids can have a little more fun, I bought these.” Iron Will said hold up two Duel Disks.
“He's serious about this.” Zero said still shocked.
“Oh this is going to be fun, so who wants to lose first?” Rainbow asked in a cocky tone.
“Calm down Miss Dash, I’ll be choosing who duels who.” Iron Will said. Rainbow just crossed her arms and pouted.
“Alright let’s see….Arrow and Shimmer, get down here and show us what you’re made of.” Iron will said throwing the Duel Disks to the pair. Artemis and Sunset caught the Disks and then looked at each other.
“Hey Aria, do I have permission to kick your boyfriend's butt.” Sunset said with a smirk.
“Oh it’s on Shimmy.” Artemis said putting the Duel Disk on his arm. Sunset did the same and the two proceeded to walk to opposite ends of the gym.
“Come on Sunny, you got this.” Soul cheered.
“Take her down Arrow.” Aria said.
“So who do you think’s gonna win?” Clyde asked.
“My money’s on Sunset, I’ve see her duel and she shows no mercy.” Swift said.
“Don’t count Arrow out just yet, he’s a good duelist too.” Vinyl said with a smile.
“He better be, Sunset’s no pushover.” Soul said. Back on gym floor, Sunset and Artemis pulled out their decks and inserted them into the Disks.
“Alright Arrow, ready to lose?” Sunset asked with a smirk.
“I should be asking you that Shimmy.” Artemis said.
“LET’S DUEL”
Sunset:4000/Hand:5 Artemis:4000/Hand:5
Sunset and Artemis drew five cards and looked them over.
“Ladies first.” Artemis said.
“What a gentleman, I draw!” Sunset said as she drew her card.
“I start off by calling out Mad Archfiend in attack mode.” She said putting the card on the disk. After a few seconds, a strange looking monster appeared next to Sunset.
Mad Archfiend: ATK-1800/ DEF-0 LVL-4
“That there is one creepy monster.” Applejack said.
“Got that right.” Night said shivering a bit.
“Next, I’ll place one card face down and end my turn.” Sunset said placing another card down.
Sunset:4000/Hand:4 Artemis:4000/Hand:5
“Alright my turn, I draw!” Artemis said as he drew a card.
“I summon Max Warrior in attack mode!” Artemis said.
Max Warrior: ATK-1800/ DEF-800 LVL-4
“And now I'll have him a attack you’re Mad Archfiend!” Artemis said. Max Warrior began charging toward Mad Archfiend.
“What’s the point in attacking, both of our monsters have eighteen-hundred attack points. They'll just destroy each other.” Sunset said confused.
“That’s what you think, you see when Max Warrior attacks one of your monsters his attack points increase by four-hundred.” Artemis said with a smirk. A light blue aura surrounded Max Warrior as his power began to rise.
Max Warrior: ATK-1800+400=2200 LVL-4
Just before Max Warrior could finish his attack, Sunset pressed a button on her Duel Disk. “I activate my trap ‘Changing Destiny’!” Sunset said. Max Warrior immediately stopped his attack and returned to Artemis’s side, only this time he was on one knee and his body turned dark blue.
“What the, why is he in defense mode?” Artemis asked confused.
“‘Changing Destiny’ stops your monster’s attack and switches it into defense mode.” Sunset said with a smirk.
“Well I guess I walked into that one.” Artemis said scratching the back of his head.
“Yea, but now you have a choice to make. ‘Changing Destiny’ has another effect, you can either gain Life Points equal to half the ATK of your Max Warrior or inflict damage to me equal to half the ATK of Max Warrior. It’s your call.” Sunset said.
“If that’s the case, you take 900 points of damage.” As soon as he said the the ‘Changing Destinies’ began to glow red and explode right in front of Sunset causing her to fall to the ground.
“AH, That’s going to leave a mark.” She said rubbing her head.
Sunset: 3100/Hand: 4 Artemis 4000/Hand: 5
“You alright Shimmy?” Artemis asked in concern.
“Yea I’m fine, I didn’t expect you to activate the damage effect to be honest.” Sunset said getting up.
“Well I can tell you’re someone I can’t beat easily, so I might as well take whatever advantage I can.” Artemis said with a smile.
“I see how it is Arrow, I guess I have no choice. I’ll just have to go all out, no mercy Arrow.” Sunset said with a smile.
“Now that’s what I want to hear, I place two cards face down and end my turn.” Artemis said as two face down appeared before him.
“Alright it’s my turn!” Sunset said drawing her card.
Sunset: 3100/Hand: 5 Artemis: 4000/ Hand:3
“Alright Sunset time to pull out one of the big guns early.” She thought to herself. “I summon ‘Sword Master’ in attack mode!” Sunset said as a man with twin blades appeared next to her.
Sword Master: ATK: 1200/ DEF: 0 LVL-3 (Tuner)
“Oh crap, Sunny’s getting serious.” Soul said.
“What do you mean, That swordsman doesn’t look so tough.” Rainbow said crossing her arms.
“It’s doesn’t need to be, that swordsman is a tuner monster. That means-”
“She’s going to Synchro Summon.” Aria said cutting Soul off.
“Oh this is going to be good.” Zero said with a smile.
“Trying to Synchro Summon huh, go on then Shimmy I’m not scared.” Artemis said with a smile.
“You should be, I tune LVL-4 Mad Archfiend with my LVL-3 Sword Master. Both monsters leaped into the air. Sword Master’s body vanished and three stars appeared in it’s place. These stars formed a line and moved in a circle, drawing three green rings before vanishing themselves. Soon, Mad Archfiend moved through these rings and his bodies also vanished and was replaced by four more stars.
"Oh beating heart of the new ruler, show the chaos inside yourself!” A beam of light shot through the stars in the rings and quickly grew to envelope the rings themselves. Synchro Summon! With great pride,Demon Chaos King!"
As soon a Sunset said those words, a human like shadow with bat like wings appeared in the light. As the light disappeared, the monster became more visible it had skinny black arms, red legs with blue boots, wings made out of fire, a golden mask and a head completely made of black smoke.
Demon Chaos King: ATK-2600/DEF-2600 LVL-7
All the students were either staring in awe or hiding behind the person next to them.
“Ok that monster is just terrifying.” Rarity said hold onto Clyde.
“Got that right, Demon Chaos King is one of Sunset’s most powerful monsters. Arrow better watch himself from here on out.” Soul said.
“Whoa now that’s a monster, nice move.” Artemis said looking at Sunset’s Demon King in awe.
“Thanks, now Demon Chaos King Attack Max Warrior! Prideful Flame!” Demon Chaos King raised one hand in the air and soon a ball of black fire appeared in his hand. He then brought his hand back down and launched the ball at Max Warrior.
“Sorry Shimmy don’t think so, I play the trap ‘Scrap-Iron Scarecrow’!” When Artemis said that one one of his face-downs opened and was soon replaced with a small scarecrow made of metal. The scarecrow in question teleported in front of Max Warrior and shielded him from the attack.
“What just happened?” Sunset asked confused.
“Nothing really I just negated your attacked, Scrap-Iron Scarecrow protects one of my monsters from being destroyed and not only that I can switch it back to face-down position so I can use it later on.” Artemis said.
“Oh he got so lucky” Swift said.
“Now he has a solid defense against Sunset.” Twilight said smiling.
“No it’s only temporary.” Aria said crossing her arms.
“What do you mean temporary?” Applejack asked.
“While it’s true Scrap-Iron Scarecrow can protect your monster and be set back face-down, Artemis can only use it once per turn.” Aria said. Everyone then understood what she meant, Twilight then spoke up.
“That means if Sunset summons a monster on her next turn and it’s strong than Max Warrior’s defense points-” “He’ll have to risk losing Max Warrior to keep his life points from being attacked directly.” Zero said cutting Twilight off.
“I..Is there anything he can do?” Fluttershy said quietly.
“Well see Fluttershy, remember this duel is just getting started.” Night said.
“Not bad Arrow you got through that no problem, but that Scarecrow of yours can’t protect you forever. Place one card face-down and end my turn.” Sunset said.
“Ok Arrow time to get serious.” Artemis thought to himself. “Alright, My turn!” Artemis said drawing his card.

Artemis looked at the card in his hand and smiled. “I summon Nitro Synchron in attack mode!” As soon as Artemis said that, a small helium tank with arms legs and a smiling face appeared next to him.
Nitro Synchron: ATK-300/DEF-100 LVL-2 (Tuner)
Everyone in the bleachers were very confused.
“What is that thing?” Adagio asked.
“It looks like something out of a kids cartoon show.” Warhawk said.
“Aria tell me, does Arrow has a plan?” Twilight asked.
“Just sit back and watch.” Aria said with a small smile on her face.
“Now I activate the spell card ‘Double Summon’! As the name implies, I can summon another monster from my hand and I choose ‘Sonic Chick!” Just then, a small pink bird with red boots appeared next to Nitro Synchron.
Sonic Chick: ATK-300/DEF-300 LVL-1
“Oh that chick is adorable!” Fluttershy said gushing over the pink bird.
“Ok seriously what the hell Artemis, why are you summoning all this weak monsters for?” Rainbow asked getting irritated.
“Calm down skittles and use your head for once. Nitro Synchron is a Tuner monster, so what do you think he’s trying to do?” Aria asked sarcastically. It then dawned on everyone.
“Oh he’s planning to Synchro Summon!” Pinkie said witha big smile on her face.
“Correct!” Aria said. Sunset looked at the monsters in front of her.
“Let’s see a LVL-4, a LVL-2 and a LVL-1. He’s planning a LVL-7 Synchro.” Sunset thought to herself.
“Now I Tune LVL-4 Max Warrior with LVL-1 Sonic Chick and LVL-2 Nitro Synchron.” All three monsters leaped into the air. Nitro Synchron’s body vanished and two stars appeared in its place. The stars formed a line and moved in a circle, drawing two green rings before vanishing themselves. The other two monsters moved through these rings and their bodies also vanished, replaced by five more stars.
"Gathering minds will now become a new force! Become the path its light shines upon!” A beam of light shot through the stars in the rings and quickly grew to envelope the rings themselves. Synchro Summon! Blaze on, Nitro Warrior!"
The light vanished to reveal a green and dark blue monster with large arms and legs, large horns, two exhaust ports in the back of it’s head and a huge exhaust port on it’s back which to most of the spectators looked like a tail.
Nitro Warrior: ATK:2800/DEF:1800 LVL-7
“Now that’s what I call a monster!” Rainbow said with a huge grin.
“It’s a monster alright, I mean just look at it it’s hideous!” Rarity said dramatically.
“Now I activate Nitro Synchron’s ability, whenever it’s used in a Synchro summon I get to draw another card.” Artemis said ahe drew his card.
“Well I have to admit, that’s one amazing Synchro you got there.” Sunset said.
“Thank you Shimmy, Now Nitro Warrior attack Demon Chaos King! Dynamite Knuckle!” Artemis commanded. Soon the exhaust port on Nitro Warrior's back began to ignite causing him to fly up into the air. He then began to descend, launching himself toward Demon Chaos King with both his arms stretched out and glowing green. Nitro Warrior then slammed both of his fists into the Demon King causing him to explode. Sunset shielded herself from the explosion, but was Pushed back a bit.
Sunset:2900/Hand:3 Artemis:4000/Hand: 2 “That’s my man!” Aria cheered.
“Come on Sunny, why are you going easy on him?” Soul asked.
“Calm down Babe, I got this trust me.” Sunset said with a smile. Soul nodded.
“I end my turn. Hey Shimmy, what happened to no mercy?” Artemis asked with a smirk.
“You really are a glutton for punishment aren't you, My draw!” Sunset said drawing her card.

“First off, since you have monsters on your field, but none on mine I can Special Summon ‘Big Piece Golem’ attack mode.” Just then, a huge rock with arms, legs and weird looking face appeared behind Sunset.
Big Piece Golem: ATK-2100/DEF-0 LVL-5
“Next I summon the Clock Resonator in attack mode!” Sunset said as a small ghostlike creature with a huge clock on it’s back and holding a tuning fork and drumstick appeared next to her.
Clock Resonator: ATK-1200/DEF-600 LVL-3 (Tuner)
“Oh this is bad...for Artemis that is.” Soul said with a smirk.
“Are you kidding me, he’s countered everything Sunset through at him and he hasn’t lost a single life point.” Zero explained.
“Not only that he still has Scrap-iron Scarecrow to protect him from attacks, what could Sunset possibly do?” Clyde asked.
“I’ll tell you what she’s going to do, she’s going to put her very soul into this next move.” Soul said still smiling. Everyone couldn’t tell if Soul was serious or not, but shrugged it off and turned their attention back to the duel.
“Get ready Artemis, I tune LVL-5 Big Piece Golem with LVL-3 Clock Resonator!” Both monsters leaped into the air. Clock Resonator hit his tuning fork with his drumstick causing his body vanished, three stars then appeared in its place forming a line and began moved in a circle drawing three green rings before vanishing themselves. Big Piece moved through these rings and their bodies also vanished, replaced by five more stars.
"The ruler's heartbeats will now file through this place! Take witness to its creation-shaking power! A beam of light shot through the stars in the rings and quickly grew to envelope the rings themselves. Synchro Summon! My very soul, Red Demon's Dragon!"
The light disappeared to reveal a huge red and black dragon with large red wings, red teeth, golden eyes and three horns on its head.
Red Demon’s Dragon: ATK-3000/DEF-2000 LVL-8
Everyone in gym just stared at the dragon before cheering for Sunset.
“THAT DRAGON IS AWESOME!!!” Rainbow screamed.
“I know right!” Soul said. “So this is what you meant when you said Sunset would put her very soul into this move, but to think she would summon a monster like that.” Zero said still staring at the dragon.
“It’s s..s..scary” Fluttershy said hiding behind Night.
“No it’s not Fluttershy, it’s look so cool.” Pinkie said smiling.
“Creepy but cool.” Adagio said.
“Next, I play the spell ‘Pot of the Crimson Devil’s Dragon’, since Red Demon’s Dragon is on the field I can draw two cards.” Sunset draws her cards and smiles.
“Oh look at this another Pot of the Crimson Devil’s Dragon, Now I can draw two more cards and one of them happens to be Mystical Space Typhoon!” Just as Sunset said a that a huge tornado appeared in front of Artemis and destroyed Scrap-Iron Scarecrow.
“My Scarecrow!” Artemis said shocked.
“That’s right now you have nothing to protect you, Red Demon’s Dragon Attack Nitro Warrior right now! ABSOLUTE POWERFORCE!” Red Demon’s Dragon spread both of its wings out before flying straight towards Nitro Warrior, its left claw soon burst into flames before slamming it right into Nitro Warrior casing it to explode. Artemis shielded himself from the explosion, but was push back a bit.

“Alright that should be enough, so I’ll just end my turn.” Sunset said with a smile. Artemis looked to Sunset and then to her dragon.
“Alright Let’s review, I’m staring down a monster with 3000 Attack points, I have no monsters on the field and only one face-down card. This is bad, but I can’t remember the last time I had this much fun.” Artemis thought to himself. “Alright I draw!” Artemis said drawing his card.

“I activate the the spell ‘Card of Sanctity’, now both of us draw from our decks until we have six cards in our hands.” Artemis said as both he and Sunset drew their cards. “I summon Shield Warrior in defense mode.” Soon a man holding a spear and a large shield appeared in front of Artemis, but he was on one knee and his entire body was dark blue.
Shield Warrior: ATK-800/DEF-1600 LVL-3
“Next, I’ll throw a face-down and call it a turn.” Artemis said.
“I call it a waste of time, does Arrow really think that monster is going to protect him?” Adagio asked.
“I hate to say it, but Adagio’s right. If that’s all Arrow’s got for this turn, this duel is over.” Clyde said.
“Don’t count him out just yet, he’ll make it through this and I bet it has something to do with that face-down he played during his very first turn.” Vinyl said pointing to Artemis’s face-down.
“Now that you mention it, why hasn’t he played that face-down yet?” Twilight asked.
“I’m not sure but if it’s a game changer he better play it soon.
“It’s my turn, I draw.” Sunset said.

“By the way thanks for the card Arrow, now I can show you the true power of my Red Demon’s Dragon. First, off since I have a synchro monster on my field, I can special summon ‘Create Resonator’ from my hand.” Just as Sunset said that another monster similar to Clock Resonator, but instead of a giant clock on it’s back it had a giant fan on it’s back.
Create Resonator: ATK-800/DEF-600 LVL-3 (Tuner)
“Next, I’ll summon ‘Sinister Sprocket’.” Soon a small black gear with a chain wrapped in chains appeared next to Create Resonator.
Sinister Sprocket: ATK-400/DEF-0 (Tuner) LVL-1
“Two tuner monsters, so planning to synchro with one of those tuners and then synchro the new monster you create with the other, am I right.” Artemis asked.
“No, but you’re close. I am going to synchro, but in a way no one has ever seen.” Sunset said.
“What do you mean by that?” Artemis asked confused.
“That will be for later, but for now Red Demon’s Dragon attack Shield Warrior right now! ABSOLUTE POWERFORCE!” Sunset’s dragon flew straight onward to Shield Warrior and slammed its left claw into Shield Warrior before causing to to explode. “Oh I’m not done yet, Sinister Sprocket and Create Resonator attack Arrow directly!” Both Sinister Sprocket and Create Resonator charged towards knocking him to the ground.

“Man that hurt.” Artemis said rubbing his head.
“I told you Artemis, no mercy.” Sunset said with a smile.
“Well guess I shouldn’t be complaining, because you set off my trap ‘Miracle's Wake’. Thanks to this trap, I can bring back one monster on my field that was destroyed during this turn. Come on back, Shield Warrior!” Just as Artemis said that Shield Warrior returned to his side in defense mode. “Alright that’s enough for now so I’ll place one card face-down and end my turned.” Sunset said. “My draw.” Artemis said.

“Alright Shimmy, you brought out your secret weapon and now it’s time to bring out mine.” Artemis thought to himself. “I summon Debris Dragon!” Artemis said as small human sized dragon appeared in front of him. It was white with blue wings, green eyes and orange jewels on it’s chest and shoulders.
Debris Dragon: ATK-1000/DEF-2000 (Tuner) LVL-4
“Now I can bring back a monster with 500 or less attack points from my graveyard thanks to Debris Dragon Ability and I choose Sonic Chick.” Just then, the small pink chick returned to Artemis’s side in defense mode.
Sonic Chick: ATK-300/DEF-300 LVL-1
“And now I tune LVL-3 Shield Warrior with LVL-1 Sonic Chick and LVL-4 Debris Dragon.”All three monsters leaped into the air. Debri Dagon’s body vanished and four stars appeared in its place. The stars formed a line and moved in a circle, drawing four green rings before vanishing themselves. The other two monsters moved through these rings and their bodies also vanished, replaced by 4 more stars.

A massive white dragon emerged from the light, shooting into the air like a rocket, spinning before coming to rest with its wings extended and its claws ready to tear an opponent to shreds. It resembled Debris Dragon, but was much, much larger and the armor plates on its chest and shoulders were purple instead of orange. It roared loudly to announce its arrival. Its yellow eyes flashed for a brief second.
Stardust Dragon: ATK-2500/DEF-2000
“Ooooh Shiny!” Pinkie said gazing at the new dragon.
“That must be Arrow’s Ace monster, right Aria?” Sonata asked.
“You bet it is, Stardust Dragon is Arrow’s strongest card.” Aria said.
“Well I doubt it’s going to do much, Stardust Dragon only has 2500 Attack points and Red Demon’s Dragon has 3000. If there isn’t more to his strategy, Artemis is done for.” Twilight said.
“Let’s just keep watching, something tells me these two are just getting started.” Adagio said.
“I then place two cards face-down and end my turn. Everyone including Sunset looked at Artemis with confused looks on their faces.
“Really that’s it, all that build up for this monster and you just end your turn?” Sunset asked.
“That’s right, now go on Shimmy make your move.” Artemis said with a smile.
“Well if you say so, my turn.” Sunset said drawing her card.

“Red Demon’s Dragon Attack Stardust Dragon right now! ABSOLUTE POWERFORCE!” Red Demon’s Dragon made it’s way over to Stardust dragon before attempting to slam its left claw into it, but before it could.
“I activate the trap ‘Defense Draw’, thanks to this I can stop your monster’s attack and draw one card in the process.” Artemis said drawing his card.
“Ok now you're just stalling, I think now it's obvious that you don't have anything in your deck that can stand up to Red Demon’s Dragon. So, why don't you just give up?” Sunset asked.
“I won't give up until my life points hit zero and as long as I have Stardust Dragon that won't be happening anytime soon.” Artemis said.
“Let's see if you still have that confidence after this move. Remember when I said I was going to Synchro in a way no one's ever seen before?” Sunset asked. Artemis nodded. “Well get ready for this!” Sunset’s said as her whole body was soon surrounded by a golden aura and before anybody knew it Sunset had grown her pony ears and her tail. Artemis looked at Sunset with a confused look.
“Ok so you ‘Ponied Up’, That’s nothing new.” Artemis said.
“That’s what you think, you might want to take a look at the field.” Sunset said with a smirk. Artemis did as she say and his eyes widened at what he saw. All three of Sunset’s monsters had the same golden aura around them. “What’s going on?” Artemis asked a bit scared. “I'll show you, LVL-8 Red Demon’s Dragon, LVL-3 Create Resonator and LVL-1 Sinister Sprocket, with these three monsters I now ‘Double Tune’!” Sunset said. Everyone in the gym looked on in shock.
“Did she just say….Double Tune?” Swift asked.
“She can’t do that...can she?” Applejack asked.
“We're about to find out.” Twilight said. Sinister Sprocket and Create Resonator both jumped into the air and both of their bodies vanished, but instead of being replaced by the usual green rings they both turned into rings of fire, four of them to be exact. Red Demon’s Dragon flew through the four flaming rings, but instead of disappearing it’s entire body was glowing red and the flaming rings became more intense causing Red Demon’s Dragon to become wrapped within them.
“Whoa intense..” Zero said getting a bit freaked out.
“You can say that again.” Warhawk said.
“This doesn’t look good for Arrow.” Octavia said in a worried tone.
“I know what you mean, just look at him.” Vinyl said. Everyone turned to Artemis who just looked on with wide eyes, but before anyone could say anything else Sunset raised one hand into the air and began to speak.
"The Ruler and The Devil, here and now shall become as one. Oh Raging Spirit, Lift up the very cries of Creation itself! Just then, the flames grew even bigger and the shadow of a huge monster with red eyes could be seen. Synchro Summon! My Raging Soul, Scar-Red Nova Dragon!"
The monster in the flames then spread it’s wings causing the fire surrounding it to disappear. Soon everyone could see the huge red and black dragon similar to Red Demon’s dragon only this dragon had a blue crystal in it’s chest, sharper claws, larger wings and a tail with spike on it.
Scar-Red Nova Dragon: ATK-3500/DEF-3000
“What the hell…” Aria said.
“My thoughts exactly.” Clyde said.
“What is that thing?” Fluttershy asked hiding behind Night.
“That would be Sunset’s ultimate monster ‘Scar-Red Nova Dragon’.” Soul said.
“So how screwed is Artemis right now?” Treble asked.
“Just wait til you hear it’s effect and you can tell me.” Soul said.
“So Arrow, what do you think of My Scar-Red Nova Dragon?” Sunset said with a smile. Artemis kept staring at the dragon before answering.
“Well I gotta hand it to you Shimmer, that dragon is incredible.” Artemis said.
“Thank you, now Scar-Red Nova Dragon’s effect activates, for every ‘tuner’ that’s in my graveyard it gains 500 points.” Sunset said.
“WHAT!?” Artemis screamed.
“Oh that’s how screwed he is.” Treble said.
“Um how many tuners are in her graveyard again?” Sonata asked.
“I’ll answer that Sonata I have Create Resonator, Sinister Sprocket, Clock Resonator and Sword Master in my Graveyard, so that means Scar-Red Nova’s attack points increase by 2000.” Sunset said. Scar-Red Nova Dragon began to glow red as it’s power began to grow.
Scar-Red Nova Dragon: ATK-3500+2000=5500
“5500 attack points!” Twilight said in shock.
“Oh Arrow is so lucky that she can’t attack right now.” Warhawk said.
“Well Artemis you’re staring down my most powerful monster with a grand total of 5500 attack points and all that stands in it’s way is your Stardust Dragon. You better make this next turn count, I place one card face-down and end my turn.” Sunset said.
“He can’t do anything can he?” Straight asked.
“Not from where I’m sitting.” Applejack said.
“He just need one good draw.” Aria said.
“It’s going to take more than that, but yea that’s all he needs.” Octavia said. Artemis took a deep breath and smiled.
“Shimmy this has been once awesome duel and you’ve been a great opponent.” Artemis said.
“Same to you buddy, sorry I have to beat you though.” Sunset said.
“Oh don’t think I’m giving up, I still have a few tricks up my sleeve.” Artemis said with confidence in his voice.
“Then prove it, show me what you got.” Sunset said.
Aria watched as the three diamond dogs rushed her and she began to smirk.
"Idiots." She said under breath. Rover than pulled back his fist preparing to punch Aria, only for him to be stopped dead in his tracks by a kick to the gut.
"Aww what wrong little boy, I thought you wanted to him me." Aria said in a mocking tone. Rover held his stomach while glaring at Aria who was still smirking. Fido cam in behind Aria a grabbed her from behind.
“Got you!” He said. Artemis was about to intervene, but saw that Aria was still confident.
“Like Hell you do!” She said before smashing the back of her head into Fido’s face causing him scream in pain.
“AHHHHH” He cried while holding his face and falling to the ground.
“Aww poor baby.” Aria said rubbing her back of her head. Artemis just watched the fight with wide eyes.
“Usually I’m against violence, but man that girl knows how to defend herself.” He thought in amazement. Aria then saw Spot running towards her in the corner of her eye.
“Oh please.” She thought before moving out of the way of the short boy and sticking her leg out causing him to trip and fall on his face. She then proceeded to kick Spot in the head knocking him out. Artemis snickered at that.
“Ok that was classic.” He thought with trying to hold in his laughter.
“Alright, I think we’re done here.” Aria said starting to way away but before she could another rock stuck her in the back of the head causing her to stagger.
“Where do you think you’re going Witch!?” Aria turned back around to see Rover glaring at the Siren. Both Aria and Artemis had the same thought in their about the Diamond dog leader.
“What a sore loser.” Aria then felt something running down the back of her neck, she placed a hand and felt something wet.
“What the-” She then looked at her hand and saw that it was a bit bloody.
“Oh this guy’s dead.” She thought glaring a the the Diamond Dog leader. Rover charged Aria again and reeled in his fist back. Aria rolled her eyes and as soon as Rover got close she ducked his punch and uppercut him in the jaw. Rover cried out in pain holding his now bleeding mouth. Artemis flinched a bit at seeing Rover bleeding.
“Punks.” Aria said before looking at Artemis who stared at her with wide eyes.
“Hope you enjoyed the show.” She said crossing her arms. Artemis looked to the three boys and then back to Aria.
“I wouldn’t say I enjoyed it, but I must admit you handled this with little effort.” Artemis said in an impressed tone. Aria smirked at the silver haired boy.
“I’ve been taking self-defense classes for two years now, figured it would come in handy someday.” She explained. Artemis gave the girl a small smile
“That’s actually-” “WHAT HAPPENED HERE!!” Aria and Artemis jumped and turned to see a very angry Vice-Principal Luna.
“Ah crap.” They both thought as they watched Luna march over to them.
“How dare the two of you attack students like this!” Luna said glaring at the two teens.
“Wait you got it all wrong we didn’t attack them, they attacked us.” Artemis said trying to explain.
“I’m sorry if I don’t believe you young man, but there are three boy lying on the ground and one of them is bleeding.” Luna said. Artemis took a step back trying to think of the best way to word this, but before he could Aria surprisingly walked up and pushed Artemis out of her way.
“You may not believe the boy, but I know you’ll believe me.” She said putting her hands on her hips. Luna stared down the siren and narrowed her eyes.
“You know it doesn’t really surprise me that you would cause trouble so soon Ms.Blaze.” Luna said crossing her arms.
“I could care less what you think, the truth is these idiots wanted a fight and I gave them one.” Aria then turned around and showed the vice-Principal the back of her head.
“Besides, They deserved it after pelting me with rocks.” She said with a growl. Luna saw the blood on Aria’s neck and her eyes widened.
“I see well, I still can’t let you off the hook. This may have been in self defense, but you still hurt these boys and you must be punished for that.” Luna said before taking out her phone and making a call. Aria shrugged her shoulders and soon felt something wet of her neck again casing her to jump.
“Hold still.” The turned to see Artemis holding a small moist towelette.
“You don’t need to-” “I know I don’t and I know you said you didn’t want my help.” Artemis said.
“Then why?” Aria asked in a confused tone.
“Well, You said you could care less about the people her and I count as one of the people you don’t care about so you shouldn’t care if I help you or not.” Artemis said with a smile. Aria gave the boy a deadpanned looked.
“That’s not how that works smartass.” She said.
“I know, but still that needs to be cleaned.” Artemis said. Before Aria could say anything else, Luna walked up to them.
“We’ll have Nurse Redheart handle that after the two of you join me in my office.” She said in a stern tone. Aria heard this and she raised an eyebrow.
“Two, but he-” “We understand ma’am.” Artemis said cutting Aria off causing her to glare at him.
“Very well, follow me.” Luna said as she walked away. Artemis began to follow the vice-Principal, but was quickly punched in the arm by a certain twin-tailed siren.
“Ow! Must you always hit me when ever we see each other?” He asked rubbing his arm.
“Why did you do that you idiot, You didn't even do anything.” Aria said with a slight growl. Artemis thought for a minute and shrugged his shoulders.
“Guess I didn't feel like arguing with the Vice-principal.” Artemis said with a sheepish smile. Aria just stared at him before rolling her eyes.
“You are an idiot.” She said before walking off. Artemis watched the siren as she walked and he smiled.
“Yea I’ve been told.”
Location: Gym
“It’s been over half an hour, where is he?” Warhawk said wondering where Artemis was. He as well as everyone else in the class were running laps on the track field.
“You told us he said he had to take care of something. Maybe he just got held up.” Zero said running next to Warhawk.
“I know but I didn’t think it would take this long.” Warhawk said. Daemon then ran up to them with a smirk on his face.
“Wow Warhawk, you’re starting to actually care about us.”He said with a chuckle. Warhawk glared at Daemon.
“I can see why Adagio finds you so annoying.” He said.
“That Fuzzball loves me and she knows it.” Daemon said. Warhawk just rolled his eyes.
“Whatever.” He said.
“I’m sure He’s fine, he seems like he can take care of- Oh there he is.” Zero said pointing over to Artemis who was running over to the track and over to Coach Iron Will.
“Um..excuse me sir.” Artemis said to the coach. Iron Will turned to see the young boy standing behind him.
“Ah you must be the last of the new students in Iron Will’s class, why are you late?” He asked putting his hand behind his back.
“I’m sorry sir, I was in the principal's office. I have a note.” Artemis said pulling a piece of paper out of his pocket and handing it the coach. Iron Will looked over the note and nodded.
“Very well, join the class. We still have 15 minutes of class left, that should be plenty of time for you to work up a sweat.” Iron Will said pointing to the track. Artemis nodded and ran onto the track.
“Ugh, mom’s going to kill me. Detention on the first day. Artemis thought scared of what his mother would say.
“Artemis!” The Violinist turned to see Daemon, Warhawk and Zero running up to him.
“Hey guys, what’s up?” Artemis asked.
“Don’t what’s up us, where the hell have you been.” Warhawk asked in a stern tone. Artemis let out a sigh.
“It’s a long story, a lot of things happened and I found myself getting detention.” Artemis said looking down. The three boy all looked at Artemis in shock.
“Dude, you got detention on the first day?” Daemon asked.
“Nice work.” Zero said with a smile before Warhawk slapped him on the back of the head.
“Why, what happened?’ Warhawk asked. Artemis took a deep breath and began to explain what had happened in the last half hour.
“So she basically kicked their asses….Awesome!” Zero said with a huge smile on his face.
“I’m with Zero, go Blaze!” Daemon said.
“They had it coming, nice to know Aria doesn’t take crap from others.” Warhawk said with a nod.
“I’m not one for violence, but I admit she was awesome.” Artemis said with a small smile.
“I bet, sucks about the detention thought. What are you going to tell your parents?” Zero asked in a concerned tone.
“It’s just my mom and I have no Idea.” Artemis said.
“From that response, you sound like she’ll kill you.” Warhawk said with a slight chuckle. Artemis then turned to the Warhawk with a worried look on his face. “Oh she’s gonna kill you.” Warhawk said.
“Big time.”

The end of the day was quickly drawing near and Artemis was dreading every moment of it.
“She’s gonna kill me.” Artemis said to himself.
“It’s your fault for getting into a fight.” Artemis turned to see Diana walking up to him.
“First off, I didn’t get into a fight I was watching one and second how do you even know about this?” He asked.
“It’s all over the school, some purple haired punk looking girl and a silver haired boy with a black hoodie beat up three boy after lunch.” Diana explained before crossing her arms. Artemis pinched the bridge of his nose.
“Rumors travel really fast around here.” He said shaking his head.
“Oh yeah, so you gonna tell me what happened?” Diana asked curiously.
“I’ll tell you when I get home.” Artemis said walking past his sister. Diana shrugged her shoulders and followed her brother.
“What are you going to tell mom?” She asked.
“Before or after she kills me?” Artemis asked back.
“Will you stop saying that, mom’s not going to kill you.” Diana said patter her brother on the back.
“Have you met our mother?” Artemis asked with a deadpan look on his face. Diana opened her mouth, but quickly closed it after letting her brothers words sink in.
“Ok good point.” SHe said. Just then the final bell rang and Artemis sighed.
“To the library I go, i’ll see you later shortstack.” Artemis said ruffling his sisters hair before walking away.
“Have fun.” She said waving to him. Artemis waved back and made his way to the library. After a few minutes, he made his way to his destination and walked in to see Vice-principal Luna and a very irritated Aria.
It was early in the morning and Aria was upstairs in her room playing Kingdom hearts 2 Final Mix, she was taking a break from practicing her singing and what better way to relax than playing a good video game.
Just as she was about to beat a boss, her phone went off. Aria paused her game and picked up her phone to see there was a message from Artemis.
“Hey Aria, you want to go get breakfast with me?” The message said. Aria thought about this for a few second.
“Let’s see finish off that jerk Xigbar or breakfast with Artemis, well that's a no brainer.” Aria thought as she massaged him back.
“Sure why not.” “
Alright I’ll meet you at Sugarcube Corner.” Artemis messaged back.
“Ok see you then.” Aria put her phone down on the bed and went out of her room to go take a shower.
Artemis smiled and put his phone down. “Well you seem happy bro.” Artemis turned to see Diana in the doorway of his room.
“I’m just going to get breakfast with Aria.” Artemis said.
“Oh breakfast with Ari huh? Diana asked with a smirk. Artemis saw this.
“Don’t go there Diana, me and Aria are just friends nothing more.” Artemis said calmly.
“Yet you spend most of your time with her, come on Artemis admit it you like her don’t you.” Diana said still smirking. Artemis then grabbed his sister, put her over his shoulder and began to walk Diana back to her room.
“Oh come on Artemis.” Diana said trying to free herself from her brother’s grip.
“You brought this upon yourself.” Artemis said walking into Diana’s room and throwing her on her bed.
“You're mean.” Diana said pouting.
“Look who's talking.” Artemis said smiling.
Diana stuck her tongue at him, while Artemis closed the door. After ten minutes, Artemis was dressed and ready to go, so he went down stairs to leave.
“See ya mom.” Artemis said passing the kitchen.
“Ah ah, you forgot something.” Selene said. Artemis turned around and kissed his mom on the cheek and ran out the door.
“Where is he going is such a rush?” Selene said to herself. Diana then walked downstairs.
“Diana, do you know where Artemis is going.” Selene asked.
“Oh he’s going on a date with Aria.” Diana said. Selene just looked at Diana for a few seconds.
“Well it’s about time.” Selene said walking back into the kitchen.

Artemis was sitting at a table inside Sugarcube Corner waiting for Aria, just as he pulled out his phone to text her.
“Hi Artemis.” Pinkie said popping up in front of him. Artemis jumped and fell out of his seat onto the floor.
“Ugh! Pinkie, how many times do i have to tell you to stop doing that?” He asked as he was rubbing his head.
“Sorry Artemis, I just wanted to know what you're doing here so early.” Pinkie said helping him up.
“I’m waiting for Aria.” Artemis said. Pinkie gave Artemis a big smile.
“Oh Pinkie not you too.” Artemis said pinching the bridge of his nose. Pinkie nodded in excitement.
“Oh come on.” Artemis said sitting back down. Pinkie then sat with him.
“Oh come on Arrow, you and Aria are always together and I see the way you look at her.” Pinkie said with a smirk. Artemis was about to respond, but sighed in defeat.
“Ugh fine, maybe I do like her.” Artemis said quietly.
“I knew it.” Pinkie said jumping out of her seat.
“Pinkie calm down, just because I like her doesn’t mean she likes me.” Artemis said folding his arms. Pinkie then took Artemis hand and gave him something.
“Well why don’t you find out.” Pinkie said. Artemis looked at what Pinkie put into his hand and they were two tickets to Canterlot’s annual beach Carnival. Artemis then looked back to Pinkie who was smiling at him.
“Pinkie I can’t-” “It’s fine Arrow, now you ad Aria go have a good time. Oh and look who’s walking in.” Pinkie said pointing to the door. Artemis turned to see Aria walking in and he started to get a bit nervous.
“Hey don’t worry Arrow, just keep calm and you’ll be just fine. See ya!” And with that Pinkie went back to work and Aria started walking over to Artemis. Artemis took a deep breath and smiled.
“Hey.” he said waving. Aria gave him a small smile.
“You know I quit beating the crap out of Xigbar for you.” Aria said.
“You quit playing Kingdom Hearts and fighting Xigbar for me, What is wrong with you?” Artemis asked with a smile.
“You’re right I don’t know what I was thinking.” Aria said smiling back as she sat down. Pinkie then walked up with a notepad.
“Hey Arrow, Ari welcome back, what can I get for you both?” She asked.
“I’ll take a cinnamon bun with extra frosting and a french Vanilla coffee.” Aria said.
“I’ll take a two pieces of french toast with extra powdered sugar and a french vanilla coffee as well please.” Artemis said. He then turned to Pinkie and mouthed thank you. Pinkie smiled and nodded.
“Okie dokie lokies, I’ll be back with your food in a few minutes.” Pinkie said skipping away.
“So what are we doing today, you don’t usually call me early unless it’s for practice.” Aria said with her arms crossed. Artemis then took another deep breath and pulled out the tickets he got from Pinkie.
“Well the Canterlot beach Carnival is today, so I was wondering, do you want to go with me?” Artemis asked her with a slight blush. Aria also blushed a bit, she was not expecting Artemis’s question.
“a..Are you asking me on a date?” Aria asked. Artemis nodded.
“Well yea I guess I am.” Artemis said with a small smile. Aria then looked down to the table.
“Ok I have no idea what to do here, I’ve never been asked out by someone before. Ok calm down, mean it’s just a carnival nothing serious.” Aria thought still looking at the table.
“Look if you don't want to go, you don’t have too. Artemis said looking down. Aria quickly spoke up.
“No no it’s not that, I’m just a little shocked.” She said not looking at him.
“So you do want to go with me?” Artemis asked. Aria looked to him and gave him a small smile.
“Sure why not.” She said. Artemis smiled back at her.
“Something tells me this is going to be a good day.” Artemis said. Aria blushed again.
“I guess so.”

Aria and Artemis arrived to the Carnival only to see that it was packed with people already.
“Wow I guess this carnival is a really big deal huh?” Aria asked.
“I guess, so what do you want to do-” Just before he could finish his sentence Artemis’s stomach growled. He then turned to Aria who had a smirk on her face.
“Not one word Blaze.” He said to her.
“Ok how about four, let’s get some food.” Aria said as she began to walk.
“Fine.” Artemis said pouting a bit. Aria saw this and chuckled. They made their way to a stand selling funnel cakes and Fried Oreos.
“Funnel cakes my favorite.” Artemis said rubbing his stomach.
“You can have the funnel cake, I want the fried oreos.” Aria said. Both went up to the stand and saw that Bon-Bon was running the stand.
“Hey Bon-Bon, I didn’t know you were working at the Carnival.” Artemis said.
“Yea I’m actually filling in for Donut Joe this year he’s sick so here I am. Anyway what can I get for you two?” Bon-Bon asked with a smile.
“One funnel cake extra powdered sugar and she’ll have and order of fried oreos, extra powdered sugar too right?” Artemis asked Aria. She nodded.
“Alright give me three minutes.” Bon-Bon said going to get their food. After a few minutes Bon-Bon came back with their food.
”Alright that will be $2.50.” She said. Artemis pulled out his wallet and gave her five dollars.
“Keep the change Bon.” he said to her.
“Thanks you both have a good time.” Bon-Bon said waving.
“We will.” Artemis said. As they were walking, Artemis had already finished half of his funnel cake, while Aria was savoring every bite of her oreos.
“Oh my gosh, these things are good.” Aria said taking another bite of her oreos. Artemis smiled knowing Aria was enjoying herself.
“So when we're finished eating what do you want to do?” Artemis asked. Aria looked around the park only see a girl with puffy orange hair, standing in front of one of the game booths.
“Adagio!?” Aria said confused.
“Adagio where?” Artemis asked.
“Over there look.” Aria said pointing through the crowd. Artemis looked too where she was pointing and saw Adagio talking to some guy.
“I guess she couldn’t resist the carnival either, come on Aria Allons-y.” Artemis said starting to watch.
“Do we have to?” Aria whined in a bored tone.
“We’re just going to say hi, then we can do whatever you want.” Artemis said with a smile. Aria shrugged and began to walk.
“What do you think she’s doing over there.” Aria asked, but before Artemis could answer.
“You need to get that for me, it’s sooo fluffy i’m going to die.” Adagio said to the guy. Aria stared wide eyed at her sister, while Artemis tried not to bust out laughing. “Does that answer your question?” Artemis asked snickering. Aria was still shocked from what she had heard.
“Adagio!? Aria said. Adagio and her friend turned to face us. “Well this is a side I never see from you.” Aria said smugly.
“Yea well shut up, you’re probably just jealous!” Adagio said back. Artemis then pinched the bridge of his nose.
“Here we go again.” Artemis said under his breath. Artemis just let the girls go at it and decided to introduce himself to Adagio’s friend and it looks like he had the same idea because he was walking up too.
“So I take it you’re a friend of Aria eh, Daemon Wraithe.” he said extending his arm. Artemis did the same and shook his hand.
“Artemis Arrow, Arrow for short and yea I’m with her.” Artemis said with a smile.
“Well how about we both go get them that plush.” Daemon Suggested.
“Yeah sure” Artemis said seeing as both girl wouldn't really notice them leave, Artemis and Daemon walking up to a stad where a man was counting bills not ever acknowledging the two.
“Yeah how much are the plush toys?” Daemon asked.
“Oh those aren’t for sale, you have to win them.” The man said.
“Ok...and how do we that?” Daemon asked. The man kept counting his bills, not even looking up at them.
"You get that gun and shoot those five moving targets down under the time limit got that." The man said impatiently,
"Now are you going to pay or continue wasting my time?"
“Well this guy is a jerk.” Artemis thought as he frowned at the man.
"So shooting eh, I'll play your game mate." Daemon said giving the guy a dollar bill.
“So will I.” Artemis said about to pull out a dollar.
"Wait your turn, once he loses you'll go next." said the man, turning on the game. The targets then started moving very quickly. “I hope Daemon know’s what he’s doing.” Artemis thought looking at the targets. He then looked to Daemon who was completely calm and not shooting.
"Daemon you do know you have less than 30 seconds right!?" Arrow exclaimed, seeing as how intense the situation was.
"Shh, let me concentrate." said Daemon, he just kept looking at the targets, he only had 20 seconds left. Artemis shut his mouth.
"Listen kid, standing there isn't going to help anyone but me." The man said . All of the sudden Daemon quickly shot all five targets in a matter of 7 seconds with deadshot accuracy. Both Artemis and the man were amazed by this feat.
“Dang and I thought I was a good shot.” Artemis thought.
"H-how did you do that?" Asked the man, he was at loss of words seeing as throughout all of his years working here, he had never seen such a feat.
"Oh just a well kept secret my father passed to me." stated Daemon.
"Anyways, can I get that giant bear?"
"Oh sure, here's a second one since your friend was going to play anyways. You earned it kid." said the man, he then grabbed two of the huge plush toys and handed them to Artemis and Daemon.
Artemis was still in shock from Daemon’s performance. "Yo man how'd you do that?" Artemis asked amazed. Both guys turned around to see a group of people looking at them, some were holding cameras. "Looks like you've captivated the interests of people."
"Eh... anyways how I did that was something my father taught me." explained Daemon as they headed towards the girls. "See when he had begun teaching me about hunting and what not he taught me this cool trick. Analyze and Strike, see he would first study their movement and then strike."
“Note to self, ask Daemon to teach me that trick.” "Woah, that must have taken a lot to practice then." Artemis commented .
"What that?! No, the hardest part was the accuracy see for that you also needed to learn to be calm and you'll be accurate. Somehow the perspective alters for me and it slows the way I see things leading to the deadshot accuracy." explained Daemon.
"Dang, well we're here." Artemis said , they saw as both girls still were arguing with each other.
"Well we're back so here you go." said Daemon, giving the plush toy to Adagio who hugged it tight. This earned Daemon peck on the lips. Artemis smiled at the two.
“It’s nice to see that they are so close, I hope Aria likes this.” Artemis thought as he handed the other bear to Aria who was confused.
"What I didn't as-" said Aria before Arrow cut her off. "Take it, you wouldn't believe what it took for D-" said Arrow before Daemon blurted out something.
"What it took for Arrow and I to win it." said Daemon, he gave a thumbs up to him.
"Yeah, that." Arrow stated, Aria blushed and took it but hid behind the plush.
"Thanks, I guess." said Aria quietly.
“Aww you’re so cute when you blush.” Artemis said smiling. Aria’s blush intensified.
“Oh shut up.” Aria said looking away.
The four of them stood there doing nothing before deciding to try the challenges set by the carnival. Nearing a booth, the area had a line that wasn't too long. All the people had to do was spin a wheel and see what they won.
"Well that doesn't seem to hard, unlike the last thing." Artemis said scratching his head.
"True." replied Daemon, waiting in line they began getting bored but soon after it was Artemis's turn to spin the wheel.
"Good luck." said Aria, Arrow smiled back to her, Aria returned the gesture but then gave her off her annoyed look again. “What’s with this guy making me smile all the time?” Aria thought to herself.
Arrow shook his head and approached the wheel, giving it a hard spin he began looking over what he might win.
'Well there's the chance of a backpack, a vacuum flask, or a trip to Las Vegas. Dang, with my luck I'll probably get nothing.' Artemis thought.
The wheel started slowing, soon it approached a certain prize before stopping for the trip in Las Vegas. Everyone looked in amazement seeing as Artemis won, He on the other hand was in a state of shock as he wasn't sure what just happened.
“Did that just happen?” Artemis thought.
"Well there you have it folks, we have a winner!" The man announced. Handing a form to Artemis, they led him to a room. A few minutes of waiting Artemis had finally finished and was smiling.
"Yes! We got tickets to Las Vegas, the best part is that we'll be going to a musical showcase!" exclaimed Arrow. All three congratulated Artemis, looking for more things to try out since everyone was feeling lucky they reached a new addition to the carnival, a game show of some sort.
"Next!" yelled the lady, going to the line Daemon approached the front desk. "Alright, sign here. Lucky for you, this is the last spot."
"Well here goes nothing." said Daemon.
"Alright the rest of you can watch from the audience seats or leave." said the lady. Leaving them, the three of them went inside. Before Daemon headed in Adagio kissed him.
"For good luck!" she replied before following behind Aria and Artemis. Entering himself, he sat down on an area where the other participants were located at. Artemis and Aria talking as they were walking away.
“So you think he has a chance?” Aria asked.
“I’m not sure, But I have no reason to doubt him.”Artemis said with a smile. Aria nodded. Daemon surveyed the rest of the competitors.
'Looks like stiff competition.' Daemon Thought.
Once it began, each contestant were asked questions. Before Daemon knew it, everyone had lost before they had reached round 5. For Daemon this seemed very easy, all of these questions should have been simple yet somehow everyone didn't know. Daemon had finally reach the last question where it would determine whether he won or not.
“Wow, Daemon might pull this off?” Artemis thought to himself.
"Alright, you have made it this far. I'm impressed, do you have anything to say before we begin?" asked the host.
"I would, but it'd make me seem arrogant." Daemon replied , he chuckled at this.
"Well then, let's begin. What happens when you put a quantum harmonizer in a photonic resonation chamber?" Asked the man.
“And there goes his chances of winning.” Aria thought crossing her arms.
Daemon looked back at the crowd, spotting the trio he looked at Adagio and simply winked at her.
"When you put a quantum harmonizer in a photonic resonation chamber, it causes a parabolic destabilization of the fission singularity." Daemon stated , he gave a smug look at the host.
Aria then stared wide eyed. “Ok maybe not.”
"That’s...that's correct!" The man announced , soon everyone in the crowd was cheering. Fireworks in the background played.
"Alright, since you've won we can give you the option of prize. We have a mystery prize or this brand new car!" The announcer stated. Thinking through the choices he finally made up his mind.
"Alright, I choose the car." said Daemon.
"Are you sure?" said the man, Daemon knew what he was doing. He was trying reverse psychology so he chooses the other option.
"I'm sure." said Daemon.
"Well folks, there you have it. He gets to take home a brand new Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X!" announced the man.
Taking Daemon to the back room, they worked the papers before handing him the keys. Grasping the keys in his hand, Daemon thought about what he should do before he got an idea. Walking back to the trio he was almost knocked over when Adagio rushed to him and hugging him.
"Yo man, that was even more wilder than what you did during the shooting game." Arrow stated.
“How'd you know what the answer was?" asked Aria.
"Oh that was simple, spend a day with what I do and you'll see where I get all of this knowledge." stated Daemon. "Anyways, let's get back to what I wanted to say, Arrow how many tickets did you say you got?" Daemon asked.
“I think I know where he’s going with this.” Artemis thought as he reached into his pocket and pulled out the tickets. "Four tickets for all of us why?" Arrow pondered.
"Well with this car, we can drive there than paying for our plane tickets, considering the fact that they only gave us tickets for a musical showcase and not the ride itself." Daemon said.
"Really?!" exclaimed Adagio who was excited.
"I mean yeah that can work, we have Thanksgiving break now so we're good." said Arrow with a smile.
"Well it's settled we leave tomorrow, now we enjoy ourselves at the carnival." said Daemon.
“Alright road trip, this is going to be fun.” Artemis said. He then looked to Aria who just looked away with her arms crossed. Artemis walked up to her.
“Come on Aria, a trip to Las Vegas and A Music Festival, you can’t tell me you're not excited. Plus, that more time for us to spend together.” Artemis said smiling. He then realized what he just said and blushed.
“Did I just say that?” He asked himself. Aria was just as surprised and she also had a blush on her face.
The raven was perched in a tree sleeping soundly and the Dove was watching his ‘Friend from a distance in another tree. He was getting a bit tired himself and decided to take a quick nap. Raven slowly woke up and let out a small cry almost like a yawn. She then spread her wings and flew off. It had been a good three minutes since Raven left the tree and she was happy to not see Dove any-

“Finally made it I see Mr. Arrow.” Luna said with her hands behind her back.
“Yes Ma’am, I'm sorry.” Artemis said with a slight bow.
“No harm done, your not late. Alright, both of you sit down and I’ll be right back with some work for you to do.” Luna said before walking out. Aria shrugged and went to sit at one of the table, Artemis did the same and sat across from her. The girl gave him a quick glare.
“Go somewhere else silver hair.” She said. Artemis rolled his eyes.
“I say again, you keep acting like that and you’ll never get people to like you.” He said with a small smile.
“And I told you I don’t care what the idiots in this hell hole think of me.” Aria said crossing her arms.
“That’s a bit harsh, don’t you think? Artemis asked leaning back in his chair.
“What part of ‘I don’t care’ don’t you get?” Aria asked getting annoyed. Artemis chuckled.
“Ok ok I-”

“Please Faust, keep him quiet for the rest of deten-” “OH MY FAUST THE NEW TRAILER!!!!” Aria jumped and fell out of her seat.
“OW! What the Hell is wrong with you dumbass!?” Aria asked rubbing her head. Artemis calmed down a bit and saw the siren on the ground.
“Oh sorry, I just saw something amazing!” Artemis said with a huge smile on his face. Aria stood up and walked over to the silver haired boy.
“Oh really!” She said snatching the phone away from him.
“Hey, give that back!” Artemis said reaching for his phone. Aria made sure the phone was out out the boys reach before pushing him to the ground.
“OW! Come on Twin-Tail!” Artemis said rubbing his head.
“Not so funny now is it and i already told you it’s Aria not Twin-Tail!” Aria said with a growl.
“Ok I'm sorry, just give me my phone back please! The new Kingdom Hearts Trailer dropped and I have to see it before the vice principal gets back.” Artemis said reaching for his phone again. Aria’s eyes widened a bit once she heard what he said, but focused on keeping the phone away from him.
“I see another trailer for the game we won't see for another ten years.” Aria said with a smirk.
“LALALA I'M NOT LISTENING!” Artemis said covering his ears. Aria’s smirk got bigger, She knew one of Artemis’s weaknesses.
“Come on the game has been delayed for the longest time. I highly doubt they're going to give it to us in January.” She said.
“Ahhhh! Stop it!” Artemis said shaking his head. Aria was loving this, seeing the silver haired boy squirm was very funny.
“You really hate hearing the truth don’t you?” She asked. Artemis went back to the table and put his head down. Aria knew she temporarily broke the boy and pressed play on the trailer video.
“Ok Square, what do you got for us this time?”

“AQUA NOOOOOOOOOO!” Aria screamed. Artemis snapped out of his thoughts and turned to Aria who was looking at his phone with a horrified look on his face.
“Twin-Tail what’s up?” Artemis asked walking over to her. Aria said nothing and kept looking at the phone in shock, Once Artemis reached her he looked at the phone to see the Kingdom Hearts trailer video paused on a familiar Character now with silver hair and golden eyes. The moment Artemis saw this he spazzed out.
“WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO MY GIRL!!!!!”
Aria turned to him. “That’s what I’m saying!” Artemis quickly took the phone from her and started the video over.

“AQUA NOOOOOO!” Artemis screamed.
“How the hell did the Organization get to her first!?” He asked trying to comprehend what he just watched. Aria wasn't doing much better than Artemis, She was sitting at the table with both hand on her head.
“She said she wouldn’t succumb to the darkness….she said she’d be a Wayfinder...I don’t understand anything anymore!” Aria said still in shock. Luna then reentered the library with a stack of papers. “Alright you two I’ve got-” She stopped herself when she saw the two student with distraught looks on their faces. “Um….is everything alright kids?” She asked in a slightly worried tone. Artemis and Aria quickly snapped out of their thoughts and looked a the vice-principal.
“Um...yes Ma’am we’re fine.” Artemis said before taking a seat next to Aria. Aria shot an annoyed look at Artemis who just smiled to her.
“Very well, anyway I have a few packets of work for the two of you to do. You may help each other or work independently, your choice. It’s also your choice if you do it or not, think of it as extra credit work.” Luna said placing the packets in front of the two teens.
“I’ll be at the Librarian’s desk if you need anything.” She said before walking away. Aria quickly took out a pen and began her work.
“You waste no time do you?” Artemis asked also taking out a pen. Aria didn’t say anything and kept working. “And we’re back to the silent treatment.” Artemis said as he began his work. It had been about ten minutes and Artemis was struggling with a math equation.
“UGH! NOBODY SAID THERE'D BE MATH!” He screamed internally. Math was never Artemis’s favorite, every other subject he was decent at….but math…. “I HATE IT!” He thought before slamming his head on the table. Aria looked at the silver haired boy out of the corner of her eye and saw that he was struggling with his work.
“Ok he’s being way too over dramatic about this. These problems aren't that difficult.” She thought before looking back at her work. Aria doesn't want others to know, but she's actually a bit of an egghead. Throughout her time in this world, she'd read up on its history as well as a few other things such as math, science, So the packets in front of her were nothing but childs play. Artemis lifted his head and looked to Aria who didn’t seem to be struggling at all.
“Don’t tell me you understand this stuff Twin-Tail.” Artemis said with a raised eyebrow. Aria continued to ignore him and kept focused on her work.
“Maybe if I ignore it, it will leave me alone.” She thought to herself.
“Aww come on, give me a hand here.” Artemis pleaded.
“If you can’t solve a simple math problem, you’re even more of an idiot than I thought.” Aria said not looking up from her packet. Artemis felt slightly hurt by that comment but he shrugged it off.
“You call this easy, when am I ever going to use algebra in real life?” Artemis asked crossing his arms.
“Math is fundamental part of life, it’s everywhere you go.” Aria said.
“Ugh I hate math!” Artemis said slamming his head down on the table again.
“Drama King.” Aria said rolling her eyes.
“Shut up.” Artemis said.
“Play nice you too.” Luna said from her desk. Aria went back to her work and Artemis lifted his head form the table.
“Ugh, this is so stupid.” He said getting up from his seat.
“Where do you think you’re going Mr. Arrow?” Luna asked in a stern tone.
“Just going to get a book ma’am.” Artemis answered.
“Very well but don’t take too long looking.” Luna said. Artemis nodded and went over one of the bookshelves.
“I really don’t need the extra credit since I just started here, so why not just relax with a good bo-Oh!” Artemis’s attention was taken by a small poster on one of the bookshelves.

“Was this this the event mom was talking about because if it is, I’m so in!” Artemis then grabbed the flier and looked over to Aria. “And I think this might be a great opportunity for Twin-Tail and her sisters.” Artemis thought before walking back over to the table. Back with Aria, she had just finished her packet.
“That wasn’t to bad, now to relax.” She thought as she took out her phone. She saw a text message from Adagio saying that she and Sonata will be waiting out front for her. Aria rolled her eyes and replied with a simple ok.
“Alright time for duel l-” Before she could finish thought, Artemis sat right down next to her and put a piece of paper in front of her. Aria looked to the silver haired boy who had a huge smile on his face.
“I don’t remember giving you permission to sit next to me.” She said coldly.
“I know, but this is important. Read this.” Artemis said pointing at the paper. Aria raised and eyebrow and looked at the paper. After reading it for a few seconds, Aria looked back at Artemis.
“Ok, is there a point to why you’re showing me this?” She asked. Artemis facepalmed.
“Don’t the words ‘Musical Showcase’ mean anything to you?” He asked.
“Should it?” The former Siren asked back.
“Yes it should, you and your sisters are singers right? You three should enter, it would be fun.” Artemis said. Aria gave the boy a deadpanned look and smacked him upside the head.
“Ow! What was that for!” Artemis asked rubbing his head.
“For being an idiot! It seems you’ve forgotten that those Rainblossoms took our voices away from us. You heard me earlier I sound like a freakin’ banshee.” Aria said crossing her arms. Artemis looked away from the former siren.
“Uh….well...yeah.” Artemis said with a sheepish smile. Aria glared at the boy, but before she could say something he spoke up again. “But that doesn’t mean you can’t sing again, all you need is practice.” He said.
“Practice?” Aria asked in confusion.
“Of course, practice makes perfect and I know someone who would be honored to help.” Artemis said.
“Subtle.” Aria said.
“I was never one for subtlety. So, how about it?” Artemis said smiling again. Aria looked back at the paper and looked over it again. After about two minutes, Aria looked back at Artemis and gave him her answer.
“Hell no!” She said. Artemis fell out of his seat anime style and laid on the floor for a few seconds.
“What, why not?” He asked. Aria leaned back in her chair and began rocking back and forth. Artemis got up and sat back in his seat. “Come on, don’t you want to sing again?” Artemis asked.
“Of course I do, but I don’t need some little boys help to do so.” She said. Artemis pouted. “Little boy, I’m 17!” He said crossing his arms.
“I’m 18 ‘Little’ boy.” Aria said with a smirk. Artemis gritted his teeth, but sighed in defeat.
“Fine but still, I want to help you and your sisters. I couldn’t imagine having to lose my singing voice or being able to play my Violin.” Artemis said. Aria’s eyes widened a bit.
“You play the violin?” She asked.
“It’s the most beautiful sounding instrument in the world.” Artemis said thinking about his own Violin. “Well that’s one thing we can agree on.” Aria said with a small smile.
“Hey your smiling, that’s my first victory today.” Artemis said. Aria’s smile vanish after he said that. “Aww why’d you go and lose the smile?” He asked with a pout. Aria said nothing and looked away from the boy.
“Oh come on, not the cold shoulder treatment again. We were making progress.” Artemis said in a sad tone.
“Whatever.” Aria said. Artemis sighed and took the paper.
“Alright, but I’m going to enter. Me and my sweetheart are going to blow the audience away.” Artemis said.
“Your….sweetheart?” Aria asked in confusion.
“My violin other than my mom and sister it’s the most important thing in my life.” Artemis said. Aria heard the passion in his voice when he said that.
“You really love music don’t you.” She asked. Artemis nodded. “Of course, to me a life without music is death! Without music the world would be nothing more than a Monochrome hue.” Artemis declared. Aria let the silver haired boys words sink in.
Dove had woken up from a very nice nap and stretched his wings. Looking to another tree he saw that Raven had left and he shook his head. He flew over the school to see if he could find her…
KYAA!!!
Location: Library
“Tell me Twin-Tail, What does music mean to you?” Artemis asked the former siren. Aria raised an eyebrow at the boy’s question.
“What it means to me?” She asked.
“Yeah like, how does it make you feel? When you sing, what do you feel inside?” Artemis questioned.
Aria didn’t know what this kid was talking about, but she gave it some thought. When she and her sisters first came to this school and sang for the students in the lunchroom she felt…. “At Peace.” She said unconsciously.
“At peace?” Artemis asked with interest.
“Yeah, when me and my sisters used our voices to feed off of negative energy, we would grow stronger and sing better. It felt….right, it felt good.” The former siren explained. Artemis took in what the girl said and began processing it.
“Other than the whole feeding off negative energy bit, I think she kinda get’s it...at least somewhat. I think she just needs a push in the right direction.” Artemis thought with a smile. “Ok that’s something, but did you like the power you got from singing or the singing in general?” Artemis asked crossing his arms.
“Is both an option?” Aria said with a smirk. Artemis quirked an eyebrow at her as if to say ‘Really?’. “Ugh fine! I guess…the singing itself was most fun for me. Still wish we had the power though.” Aria said looking away.
“I knew it.” Artemis said with a smile.
“Whatever.” Aria said crossing her arms.
“Oh stop with the cold shoulder already. Look, I may not have been there during the battle of the bands, but I can tell you got potential. I heard you sing earlier too and I have to say while you could use ….a bit of work, you aren’t that terrible.” Artemis said trying his best not to offend the Siren. He did anyway though.
“Are you trying to piss me off because you’re doing a great job!” Aria snapped raising a fist to the silver haired boy. Artemis put his hand up defensively.
“No! no! I didn’t mean it like that I swear! I was just- ACK!” It was too late Aria had already punched the boy in a gut once again. “Awwwww come on, why is it always my stomach?” The boy said holding his stomach. Aria then quickly stood up.
“Next time just keep your mouth shut and if you ever talk to me or my sisters again they won’t find your body.” With that, the Twin-Tailed girl walked to the second level of the library to find a seat far away from the boy. Artemis looked at her as she walked away and he sighed.
“Well you Can’t said I didn’t try and I really need to learn to think before I speak.” He said rubbing his tummy.
30 Minutes Later
Vice principal Luna Looked at her watch and saw that the students time was up.
“Alright you two, you may go. I’ll see you both tomorrow.” She said gathering her things and walking out of the library. Artemis grabbed his bag and looked up to the second level to see Aria walking down the stairs. He didn’t say anything though, he just sighed and walked out of the Library. He continued walking until he reached the front entrance and saw Adagio and Sonata.
“Hey there.” He said with a small smile. The two sirens looked up to him and Only Sonata Smiled.
“Hi Arrow.” She said in a cheerful tone.
“How ya doing Nata, Feeling better?” Artemis asked.
“What do you mean?” Sonata asked confused. Artemis raised an eyebrow at the youngest of the sirens, did she really forget? Artemis looked over to Adagio who just shook her head as if to say ‘Don’t worry about it.’
“Oh Never mind, you both waiting for Twin-Tail?” He asked. “Obviously. We heard she got along side a certain silver haired boy.” Adagio said glaring at the boy. Artemis began to sweat.
“I can explain.”
“I don’t think you can.”
“Ari’s coming!” Sonata said with a big smile. The two looked behind them to see the Twin-Tailed Siren walking up to them with a scowl on her face. Artemis knew that it was directed to him and he turned to leave.
“I’ll talk to you both another time, have a good night.” With that, Artemis walked out the door, leaving the two Sirens. As walked out, he saw a familiar dark blue car and a very familiar angry woman waiting for him.
“Why me.” He said walking over to the car.
With that Dazzlings…
“What did he want?” Aria asked with a growl. Adagio was use to here sister’s grumpy nature, but she seemed more angry than usual.
“He just wanted to see if Sonata was alright, why?” Adagio asked curiously.
“No reason let's just go.” Aria said walking past her sisters. Adagio and Sonata looked at one another before shrugging their shoulders and following Aria.
“How was Detention?” The Older Siren asked.
“Irritating!” Aria said gritting her teeth. Sonata began to worry a bit. Sure Aria was a grump most of the time, but never this grumpy.
“Are you ok?” The younger Siren asked.
“I’m fine, just drop the stupid detention subject. Let’s just go home, It’s my turn to cook right?” Aria asked wanting to forget this day.
“Yes it’s your turn, you prepped a lasagna before school remember?” Sonata said smiling at her sister. Aria actually did forget, with all the stupidity that happened today who wouldn’t forget.
“That’s right I did, I’ll put it in the oven as soon as we get back.” Aria said with a small sigh.
“YAY!” Sonata cheered. Adagio could tell that her sister was either hiding something or not wanting to talk about something and she wanted to know what that was.
“Back to your detention, who were you fighting? Was it Artemis?” Adagio asked.
“I told you to dro-” “Aria Blaze, I believe I asked you a question.” Adagio said Cutting of Aria in a stern tone.
“Oooo! Ari’s in trouble!~ Ari’s in Trouble!~” Sonata teased.
“Shut it!” Aria snapped. “I’m not hearing an answer Aria.” Adagio said tapping her foot.
“UGH! Some idiots wanted a fight and were throwing rocks at me! So I taught them a lesson and the Arrow kid just happened to be there. Are you satisfied now mom!?” Aria said before continuing on to their house.
“We’re not done here!” Adagio said grabbing her sisters arm. “This isn’t new for us, the students treat us like crap yes, but they don’t make you this grumpy.” Adagio said. Aria rolled her eyes and pulled away from her sisters grip. “Aria!” Adagio called out. No response came as the Twin-tailed Siren kept walking.
“Is Ari alright?” Sonata asked.
“I don’t know, but I’m going to find out.” Adagio said with determination in her voice.
With Artemis, Location:His House
“Man that girl can punch!” Artemis thought rubbing his stomach. He had been driven home by his mom and she showed him no mercy. Two weeks of grounding, no violin practice and no seconds at dinner.
“Ugh! What am I supposed to do for two weeks without my Violin and my food?” Artemis whined.
“You could go and introduce yourself to the neighbors.” A voice said in a happy tone.
“Hey that’s a great idea! That- Wait who!?” Artemis turned to his window and saw two girls smiling at him...well one of them were.
The first girl was the one smiling, she had slightly pale pink skin, long golden blonde hair and lime green eyes. She was wearing a White t-shirt with what looked like an exploding star on it. The second girl was just staring at him with a blank look on her face, she had Bluish gray skin, short dark blue hair and amber eyes. She was wearing a long black and white flannel shirt that had the sleeves cut off at the shoulders and a black tank top cut off at her stomach with a light purple heart with four outward facing crescent moons around it.He couldn’t see their bottom halves because they were standing on a ladder. Artemis quickly got up and stared at the girls cautiously.
“Um….who are you two and why are you both in my window?” He asked. The girl with golden hair gave Artemis a brighter smile before speaking up.
“Sorry for startling you buddy, we heard we had new neighbors and we just had to meet you.” She said in an overly cheery tone.
“Also it was her idea to get a ladder and climb up to your window. Sorry about that by the way.” The goth girl said in a monotone voice.
“Um..ok, but my question is still barely answered.
“Oh right sorry, My name is Sunshine Smiles, but you can call me Shine.” Shine then gestured to the other girl. “This is my Sister, Moonlight Raven!” She said.
“Just call me Raven.” the goth girl said giving Artemis a small wave.
“Well….uh nice to meet you both, but still its weird to have you both in my window.” Artemis said scratching the back of his head.
“Oh no! No changing the subject, you have to introduce yourself now.” Shine said in a teasing tone. Artemis sighed and smiled at the golden hair girl.
“My name is Artemis Arrow, it’s a pleasure to meet you both.” He said politely.
“See Moony, I told you he’d be nice.” Shine said shaking her sister.
“You’re just lucky he didn’t call the police like the last set of neighbors did for us doing this.” Raven said rolling her eyes.
“Speaking of doing this you both might wanna get out of my window and use the front door. We don’t want people getting the wrong idea.” Artemis said with a chuckle.
“He’s right sis, let’s go.” Raven said pulling on her sisters shirt.
“Huh, wait, I-WHOA!” Both sisters fell from the window and Artemis panicked.
“Oh crap.” he said running down stairs. Selene heard him coming down and walked out the kitchen.
“Hey’s you’re still grounded young-” Artemis quickly ran past his mom leaving her with a surprised look on her face.
“Arty?” She asked. Artemis opened the front door and looked back at his mom.
“Mom get the First-Aid kit!” He said going outside. Selene didn’t know what was going on but she quickly did what her son said. Artemis reached the two girls, Shine was on Raven’s back and the ladder was on hers.
“Oh man, are you both ok?” Artemis said moving the ladder.
“Owie, that hurt. Moony, why did you do that?” Shine said rubbing her head.
“I told you this was a stupid idea and that we could get hurt, but you still didn’t listen to me. So this is your fault.” Raven said groaning.
“Stop it you two.” Artemis said. “Can you it two stand up?” He asked in concern.
“Oh don’t worry about us buddy.” Shine said pushing her sister off of her and standing up. “We’ve been through worse than that! One time, I twisted my entire leg around and was in surgery for a whole 4 hours. Man that really hurt!” She said with a huge smile on her face. Artemis looked at this girl with a pure ‘WTF’ look. Raven than stood up and dusted herself off.
“It’s true and I know she’s weird.” She said. Artemis decided not to question this anymore.
“You know what, as long as you both are ok than whatever.” He said slightly giving up trying to understand these two.
“Who needs the first aid kit?” The three teen looked to see Selene running up with the first-aid kit.
“Well I thought they would need it, but apparently not." Artemis said shrugging his shoulders. Selene seemed very unamused.
"Artemis Arrow,if this was just some ploy to see a few girls!" Selene seethed. Artemis flinched and took a step back. Shine and Raven saw this and stepped in.
"No no ma'am, it's not like that really. Me and my sister just wanted to meet you all since you live next door to us." Shine explained.
"And thanks to this one's bright thinking, she thought it would be 'fun' if we climbed to a window and introduced ourselves. I know stupid, but once this girl has her mind set on something she's going to do it no matter what. Then the ladder we were standing on fell and well here we are." Raven said with a blank stare. Selene looked at the two girls and saw that their words were sincere, but her motherly instincts were still active.
"While I appreciate your honesty girls, the whole climbing up to our window thing rubs me the wrong way I'm going to have to ask you both to leave." Selene said in a serious tone. Shine looked to the ground with a sad look and Raven ...well she didn't show it but she felt a bit sad.
"Mom come on they-" "Not one word Artemis, now back in the house!" Selene said cutting her son off. Arrow opened his mouth again but closed it and turned to the two sisters.
"Sorry." He said.
"No we're sorry." Shine said sadly.
"Later days pal." Raven said. Artemis nodded and he and his mom walked back into their house.
"That could have gone better." Shine said.
"Right, so what now?" Raven asked.
"Let's just go home." Shine said walking away from her sister. Raven shrugged and followed her.
"At least the cops weren't called this time." She thought to herself. She then looked back at Artemis's house. "Would have been nice to make a new friend."
The next day, location: Canterlot High
Adagio and her sisters had arrived at school early and Aria immediately split off from the others to do who know what. This gave her a chance to talk to a certain silver haired boy.
"Dagi, where are we going?" Sonata asked in a confused tone.
"I'm looking Daemon, he might know where Artemis is.” Adagio said looking around.
“Um...why are you looking for Artemis?” Sonata asked still confused. Adagio didn’t answer as she kept walking around for the silver haired boy.
“Why aren’t you answering me?” Sonata asked with a pout. Adagio once again ignored her sister and Sonata was getting annoyed. “Ugh fine, I’m going to eat breakfast.” Sonata said before walking away from Adagio.
“Thank Faust.” Adagio said shaking her head.
“You feeling alright Fuzzball?” Adagio jumped a bit before turning around to see Daemon with a smirk on his face.
“I hate you.” Adagio muttered.
“Good morning to you too Fuzzball. What’s going on?” The boy asked. Adagio pinched the bridge of her nose and groaned.
“Listen, as much as I’d like to argue with you right now I don’t have the time. Where’s your buddy?” She asked. Daemon raised an eyebrow at her.
“You’re going to have to be more specific Fuzzball, I have a lot of buddies.” He said in a smug tone.
“The one who is actually willing to put up with you.” Adagio said crossing her arms.
"Micro?"
Adagio narrowed her eyes at the boy.
"Sandalwood?"
"I'm 5 seconds away from slapping you." Adagio said getting impatient. Daemon thought for a minute and a lightbulb went off in his head.
“Oh Arrow! Yea I haven’t seen him yet, what do you want with him?” He asked curiously.
“Just want to ask him a question, not that it’s any of your business Wraithe.” Adagio said in a slightly rude tone.
“I’m sure you and your sisters became mine, Arrow and Jon’s business when Celestia asked us to watch over you three.” Daemon said.
“Don’t you mean forced you to watch over us?” Adagio asked.
“Yes, but you didn’t see any of us object to it did you?” Adagio didn’t have anything to say to that because he was right. Sure Daemon was a pain with all the nicknames he gives her, but she did enjoy his company at times. Warhawk stood up for not only Sonata but all her and Aria as well against Axis and the Rainbooms. Artemis to Adagio Knowledge hasn’t done anything for them, but she’s pretty sure he would if the chance presented itself.
“Ok you have a point.” She said begrudgingly. Daemon smiled at his victory.
“Look while appreciate you and the other two dealing with us I still have something I need to figure out.” Adagio said in a serious tone. Daemon looked at the siren and kept smiling.
“This wouldn't happen to be about Aria and Arrow’s detention would it?” Daemon asked. Adagio looked at him with wide eyes.
“How did-” “I saw you three walking home yesterday and overheard Aria telling you why she had detention. She’s telling you the truth, Artemis told us three guys were chucking rocks at her and being the badass that Aria is she kicked their asses. Artemis took part of the blame so her punishment wouldn’t be too severe.” Daemon explained. Adagio took a minute to process this.
“Ok I get that, but why is pissed off at Artemis if he helped her. Aria is many things but ungrateful isn’t one of them.” Daemon looked to the girl with a confused look on his face.
“Are we talking about the same Aria? The same one that punched our mutual silver haired friend in the gut not once but twice!" Daemon said dramatically. Adagio glared at the boy.
“Aria my be a rough girl, but she’s a teddy bear.” She said.
“More like a grizzly bear.” Daemon remarked. Adagio growled at the boy, but took a deep breath.
“Look i don’t have much time left before classes start, if you see Artemis tell him I’m looking for him.” With that, the older Siren left Daemon. Said boy was watching her walk away and smiled.
“I think she’s getting use to me.” He said with a slight chuckle.
“Hey Wraithe!” Daemon turned around to see Warhawk walking up to him.
“Sup Jon!” He Greeted the green skinned boy with a smile.
“Saw you talking to Adagio, what’s going on?” Warhawk asked.
“She’s looking for our Silver haired buddy, apparently she want some info out of him.” Daemon explained.
“What kind of info?” Before Daemon could answer, the main character finally showed his face looking a bit worn out.
“Morning.” Artemis said in a bored tone. Daemon and Warhawk gave the silver haired boy different looks. Daemon looked worried while Warhawk seemed Neutral, but in his eyes he was slightly worried as well.
“Dude, you ok?” Daemon asked.
“In all Honesty ...no.” Artemis answered truthfully.
“Yeah, a lot of things, thong I don’t wanna go into right now. Right now I’ll just say, I’m grounded for two weeks.” He said looking down. Daemon and Warhawk knew something other than the grounding was bumming Artemis out, but what was it?
“Anyway enough about me, how are you two” Artemis asked with a small smile. Daemon shrugged his arms and answered.
“Good I guess, had a little chat with Fuzzball, She’s looking for you." He said. Artemis raised an eyebrow at this.
"What does she want with me?" Artemis asked in confusion.
"Something about Aria." Daemon answered. Artemis's face dropped a bit and knew exactly what this talk was about. The silver haired boy sighed and looked to Daemon.
"Where is she?" He asked.
"She just went inside, I'm sure you can find her before the first bell." Daemon answered back. Artemis nodded and walked away.
"Did he seem off to you?" Daemon asked.
"I'm sure it's nothing." Warhawk said shrugging his shoulders.
"And if it isn't?"
"Then it's his problem."
"Harsh man."
"Yea I know."
Artemis walked through the hallway looking for Adagio, but after a few minutes nothing. "Come on how hard is it to find one girl with orange poofy hair?" Artemis asked himself.
“Harder than you'd actually think." Artemis turned around to see Sonata munching on a breakfast burrito.
"Care to elaborate on that Pony-Tail?" Artemis asked. Sonata gave the boy a very confused look.
"What?" Artemis asked.
"What does Elaborate mean?" Sonata asked tilting her head. Artemis let out a long sigh.
“Nevermind, where is your sister?” He asked.
“Heck if I know, I left her in front of the school a few minutes ago. She wanted to talk to you about something, she wouldn’t tell me what though.” Sonata said taking another bite of her burrito. Artemis sighed and nodded.
“Ok since I'm not going to find her any time soon, if you see your sister tell her I'll talk to her at lunch." Artemis said.
"No problem Arty!" Sonata said with a smile. Artemis nodded and walked away from the youngest Siren. As Artemis walked to his homeroom he kept thinking about all that happened yesterday.
“Yeesh not even a week and I'm already have bad luck in this place. Well, if it starts off this bad it can’t get any-OOF!” Artemis’s thoughts were cut off when someone grabbed him by the collar and pushed him against a locker. Artemis looked up to see Axis glaring at the boy. “I guess I was wrong, it can always get worse.” He thought before finally speaking up to the boy.
“Look I’m already in a bad mood Axis, so can you just leave-” “SHUT IT!” Axis said angrily. “I don’t appreciate you and your buddies speaking up for those Siren Whores and I really don’t appreciate being made a fool of in front of the school.” He said angrily. A few of the students looked over at the situation and of course no one stepped in.
“Dude you really need to chill, I stood up for Twin-Tail and her sisters so what? No one else was going to do it and they looked like they could use some positive influences in their lives since mostly everyone in this school is dead set on setting a bad one for them.” Artemis said glaring at the boy.
“Those bitches deserve whatever bad thing comes their way they need to be thrown out of-ACK!” Just before Axis could finish his statement, someone grabbed his arm and began twisting it.
“I’d Appreciate it if you kindly let our Acquaintance go.” Artemis turned to see Warhawk who was the twisting Axis’s arm and Daemon who just a grin on his face.
“You ok?” Daemon asked patting Artemis on the back.
“Yeah thanks guys.” Arteis said with a smile. Warhawk nodded and looked to Axis.
“What should I do with this piece of human garbage?” He asked.
“Shove him in a locker, I’ve always wanted to see someone do that.” Daemon suggested. Artemis rolled his eyes.
“Let him go.” He said. Daemon looked at him as if he were mad.
“Dude this guy just-” “I know and I don’t care. If he wants to go on hating us then let him, it’s not hurting us.” Artemis explained as her balled his hand into fist. Warhawk just shook his head.
“You know that ‘nice guy’ attitude is going to get you hurt one of these days.” Warhawk said before letting Axis go.
“You’re going to regret that you bas-AHH!” Out of nowhere Axis was punched in the face causing him to fall to the ground and surprisingly it wasn’t Warhawk or Daemon it was Artemis. To say Daemon and Warhawk were shocked was an understatement. Artemis took a deep breath and un-balled his fist and turned to his friends.
“So shall we head to class?” He said with a smile. The two boys in front of the Silver haired boy just looked at one another before shrugging. The three began walking away from Axis who said something about getting revenge while holding his face in pain.
“Where did that come from?” Daemon asked.
“I was already having a crap day and he kinda struck a nerve.” Artemis said with a shrug.
“I’ll say this, I’m slightly impressed. Here I thought you were a pacifist.” Warhawk said.
“Can we change the subject please?” Artemis asked.
“Nope!” Daemon and Warhawk said simultaneously. Artemis groaned.
