For the last year since Nightmare Moon’s return, Rainbow Dash has served her under the Shadowbolts, but one night, while being tasked by the Empress to organize a celebration of her victory in Ponyvile, she comes across a small orange filly.

20 years after the war for harmony a unicorn named Thunder Heart has to sell family heirlooms to make ends meet. He lives with his brother Crystal Heart, his younger brother Sky, the family servant Snow, and his younger sister Diamond Shimmer in a town called Woodsdale. Something happened in the past that Thunder doesn't want to talk about, something that his siblings and Snow want to forget about but can't. With their mother and father missing, they must stick together to survive whatever equestria throws at them.

Unable to forget how those she thought were her friends and family were quick to assume she had relapsed to her old ways of being a bully, Sunset turns her back on them as they once did to her and is prepared to live a life of shutting out friendship entirely. That is until she happens upon a kind stranger who not only could be the friendly ear to listen to her problems, but even teach her things about friendship that even the Princess of Friendship herself could never teach.

Shenanigans ensue shortly after.

Pegasi train for flight, and a select few train to fly high above the clouds. Navigators use the movements of the stars to find their way, for themselves and for their comrades.  But the stars are distant, and for one navigator, one special note will call him to his true home.
