After being betrayed by her friends during the Anon a Miss incident the darkness threatens to swallow up Sunset, but there are those who want to offer a helping hand and guide her in another direction. Will she take those offered hands, or will she let herself fall to the darkness forever?

Sunset's clever plans have taken her years to enact, and she has seen them shatter in just days. Now, she is prepared for one last bluff, and in the end, she hopes to come out with the crown. Barring that, if her bluff is called, she'll at least have her dignity.

One little change, one outside factor she hadn't accounted for, leaves her with nothing but a mess. She was not prepared for this...

Rewatching Equestria Girls, I realized that there was a gaping plot hole wherein they could have ended the movie much sooner, totally wrecking Sunset's plans without wrecking the school, blowing a crater in the courtyard, or redeeming Sunset Shimmer. Set right at the end of Equestria Girls, and diverging wildly from there.

This might start an AU, I am thinking of calling it The Diademverse. Hence, it's listed as Incomplete until I decide just what should be done with angry bacon pony.

Two weeks have passed since the Fall Formal, and Sunset Shimmer finds herself plagued with nightmares and self-loathing. In an effort to break the cycle and try to show her what it means to be friends, a week long series of sleepovers happens where Sunset will learn things she never suspected about each of her newfound friends.

Sonata decides to go for a walk, feeling unwanted and unloved. This leads her to run into Sunset, someone who might just be what she needs right now more than ever.

Sunset Shimmer has never needed anyone or anything - she had her magic, she had her ambition, and she had intellect. Others just stood in her way or held her down. So what do you do when your plans for world domination fall through?

Now she's about to discover that the only thing harder than hitting rock bottom is climbing your way out of that crater. Good thing she has some new friends to help her along, but its tough to seek forgiveness from others when you can't forgive yourself...

Sunset Shimmer was going to visit Equestria for a while during summer break. She was ready to get away from the craziness that is high school, and ready to use some real magic for a change, as opposed to her empathetic magic.

Problem is, her friends catch wind of her plan, and beg to go with her.

Now she has to hope that Princess Twilight isn't going to freak out when Sunset tells her.

I've seen quite a few stories of Sunset Shimmer going back to Equestria, but I haven't seen one with her taking her human friends with her. It seems like a good idea, but who knows.

Not that I'm trying to downplay the other stories, just I see a comedy gold mine here. Seriously, this is going to be awesome. If I can write it.

Soon after the defeat of the Dazzlings, Sunset Shimmer finds herself going through some changes she doesn't understand. With help from her friends, will she be able to fix her issue, or will she be stuck the way she is forever?

In a freak storm, the abandoned building Sunset had been calling home for almost four years was destroyed, lightning and fire leaving naught but memories and ash. Her friends rally around her, offering support and a sofa to sleep on.

Canterlot High School has just let out for summer break, and it's Sunset's first since the disaster that was the Fall Formal. With guilt of her past actions, worries of mending her relationship with those back home, and homesickness plaguing her mind, Sunset contacts Twilight Sparkle for the first time since the events of the Battle of the Bands, seeking to truly return home for the first time in years.

However, when she arrives back home, things quickly take a turn for the dramatic. With strange happenings going unusually unreported in the heart of Canterlot and a mysteriously familiar figure only Sunset and Twilight seem to notice, her return home may turn out to be much more eventful than she could have ever bargained for.

60 years ago Sunset Shimmer went through the mirror connecting Equestria with the Human world, but instead of arriving at Canterlot the mirror had other ideas. Sunset found herself stranded in a little place called Beach City, a place that is being protected by a quartet of space rocks that can take human form.

Meeting Rose Quartz and the rest changed her life, turning Sunset from a moody and angry teenager to a caring, witty and a-little-too-much-ego kind of girl, but those idyllic days couldn't extend forever, because when a corrupted gem attacked the city and she was heavily injured saving human beings, Sunset turned into something no gem had seen before.

That was so long ago.

Now Sunset is Spinel, a hybrid that has a gem instead of a heart and whose powers are still a mystery to the surviving Crystal Gems.
