Sweetie Belle was happy being the joyful young filly that she was, but things soon get turned upside down when two words from a friend changes who she thought she was.

Now, Sweetie Belle must find out who she truly is behind the smile, or be lost forever...

This is a What if story? So this one isn't canon with the original.

Rarity is not a pony to get her hooves dirty, but when it comes to her sister, she can make an exception. So when the Diamond Dogs kidnap Sweetie Belle and try to blackmail her, she is determined not to take it lying down. Wallowing in melodrama, maybe. But certainly not lying down.

Little does she know that while putting their plan into action, the Diamond Dogs manage to get mixed up with a creature nastier than they are. A creature that may spell doom for Equestria if it has its way...

When Sweetie Belle stumbles into the Carousel Boutique injured in the middle of the night, it's up to Rarity and her group of friends to piece together just what has happened. As the night turns into day they will learn a lesson in both bravery as well as sacrifice.

Feeling that she is the one to blame, she gloomily goes to her apartment in downtown Manehattan, just wanting to be left alone. But when she enters, the sight of a familiar pony brings even more bad emotions to her inner turmoil.
