Ever since the Sisterhooves Social, Sweetie Belle and Rarity's relationship has improved drastically. There are still days when Rarity is a bit busy, of course, and certain times when Sweetie doesn't quite get the hint.

During one particularly stressful day, Sweetie Belle gets into Rarity's makeup. Rarity demands an explanation. The answer isn't quite as simple as one sister playing dress-up.

Diamond Tiara says some things that go beyond her usual insults to Sweetie Belle which cause her to get extremely upset. Later that day, she cannot hold back her feelings and receives some unexpected condolences from her older sister, Rarity.

"And the world shall end in fire. From it, a new world will be born in its ashes. A world of tragedy, of fear, and of an unclear future...only to be cleansed by the ancients who used to roam this earth. Such is the way life on this planet will go."

This is the hidden prophecy that very few knew about. Nopony knew when, and nopony knew how. They would only know after the fact. And their fate in the new world would be left to the gods.

This tale of adventure and self-enlightenment follows Fluttershy, a very timid and soft-spoken pegasus, and her friends as they face a post-apocalyptic Equestria and all of the hardships, encounters, and struggles they will all face as they try to survive...and nopony is safe. Survival can bring out the worst in us. Will Fluttershy be changed by what she faces in this new world? Will anypony else? Is an even bigger threat just around the corner?

The first eleven chapters are written as an adventure story from an omniscient POV, while the rest of the chapters are written from various characters' points of view, and detail what happens after the first eleven. It used to be twelve chapters, but I combined chapters 6 and 7 and reordered the rest.

As of right now, it's complete, but I'm always ready to go back and make some parts better if needed.

Inspired by the story image, RainbowDoubleDash's Lunaverse and Trinary's "Rainbooms and Royalty", I give you my take on the alternate universe concept. Namely, a universe where Spike is the pony and Twilight is his dragon assistant.

The thousandth Summer Sun Celebration is approaching. With it will come the return of Nightmare Moon. Celestia has no student to call upon to save Equestria, and is doing all she can to make the last day of peace meaningful for her people.

Meanwhile, Spike "Purple Prose" Flail is a reporter for the Canterlot Sun. He finds himself being shipped down to the boonies with his longtime friend and assistant, Twilight, to cover the biggest festival Equestria has seen in a millennium!

But even with a visit from the princess, there's no way someplace as boring as Ponyville could ever be newsworthy. Right?

Rarity has many flaws but she does her best to become a better sister for her little Sweetie Belle.

Unfortunately, that might not be enough.

Having expanded her business in the past year, Rarity decides to prepare her own Equestrian tax form for the first time. Her sister observes as the two discuss names, tax terms, and which town may not be ready for Rarity's 4th boutique.

After watching a scary disaster movie and a documentary about the universe, Sweetie Belle is convinced that the world will end at any moment. With absolutely no help from her friends or sister, she takes it upon herself to prepare and to survive the imminent apocalypse.

Sweetie Belle is getting to be that age. She's thinking thoughts she never thought before. One such thought is about babies; Where exactly do they come from?

And why is it so difficult to find the answer to that question?

Twilight Sparkle isn't sure she likes the way ponies tend to put her on a pedestal now that she's a princess. Celestia has some unexpected words of wisdom on the subject.

This fic is not a sequel to anything in particular, but probably takes place in the same setting as Chocolate Fluff.

What Spike saw in the doorway of King Sombra's crystal palace hasn't left his mind. The fear of Twilight abandoning him haunts him through recurrent nightmares. Anxiety taunts him when he's at his most vulnerable, reminding him of all his failures, all his inadequacies, all his wounds.

One night, this fear and anxiety manifests itself in a full-blown nightmare, dragging Spike face-to-face with his greatest fear. What if Twilight never needed Spike in the first place?

Takes place right after the Season Three opener (before Episode Three).
