Twilight Sparkle was annoyed to say the least, when her mentor Princess Celestia dismissed her warning of the Mare in the Moon and assigned her to go to Ponyville to supervise the Summer Sun Celebration. 'Make some friends' she says.

The thing is, Twilight already had friends. Friends she's had ever since she got into Celestia's school for gifted unicorns, friends she's taken for granted for many years, friends who she just happens to bump into before leaving Canterlot and invite themselves along to the celebration.

Between the crazy ponies in this little town and the crazy ponies who call themselves her friends, she finds herself at her wit's end while being constantly sidetracked in trying to prepare for the fabled Nightmare Moon's return. After all, it's not like these old schoolmates of hers are going to be able to help prevent eternal night and the end of Equestria as they know it, right?

Sweetie Belle burst into the Carousel Boutique in tears because one of her best friends is moving to a foster home in Baltimare. Surely there has to be a pony in Ponyville who can be her foster parent, right?

I'm lucky to have two of my favorite, (and also way underrated authors) on this site pre-reading for me, HMXTaylorLee and DemonBrightSpirit. Their work is seriously excellent and unappreciated so go check them out.

On a field trip to the Manehatten Museum of Ancient History, Cheerilee's class receives an extra treat: an IMAX movie. While the rest of the class is overwhelmed with excitement, one little colt would rather sneak off for his own museum excursion. An excursion that lands him lost and alone before a strange mare comes to his rescue.

They say you never meet your heroes. But heroes come in all kinds of shapes and forms. You might just miss one if you're not careful.

Two hundred years ago, Equestria reached its peak when Twilight Sparkle became an alicorn, and magic and friendship graced the land. Now, the world has descended into its lowest point in since the rise of the Royal Sisters. A disease has effectively eliminated the most of the world's inhabitants. No magic nor medicine was able to stop it. The virus tainted the ground, leaving no where for ponies to survive. So they did the only thing hey could do: they took to the skies.

The Navis Project. Ponydom's last chance at survival. A desperate gambit that put hundreds of ponies aboard massive airships that flew high into the jet streams, slowly orbiting the world, allowing them to survive until the day a cure would hopefully be created.

They've known each other for a long time, now, so Rainbow Dash thinks its time to share with her friends something cherished and precious: a chance to meet her beloved father. However, what they will learn on that visit will give them much to think about over the years to come.

After braving the darkest caves, Starlight Glimmer ends up in Canterlot and stops at a cafe. Everything seems to be looking up until a familiar face shows up. And to make matters worse, another pony she dreads to encounter appears.

Unsure what else to do in the wake of this improbable, nay, highly unusual, nay, nay, impossible event, the two pegasi have a conversation that leads them to some startling revelations.

Rainbow has an urge. And she decides it's just about time she got herself a little something to handle it the right way...

But who does she ask? It's kind of embarrassing, after all. And it's not something you can just buy at the corner store...

Our narrator has seen the darker side of life; abandoned, homeless, and finally chosen by a think-tank to serve in an experiment against his will. In their attempt to teleport him across continents, he was instead dumped into the Void between universes, where his only chance to exist again was to reach for the light.

By chance or purpose, he later finds himself in a world strangely similar to the one he had always known, but is yet completely alien; a world populated by many colored horses who can speak, think, fly, and even do magic. NOTE: This story has been marked 'Crossover' because the Earth the protagonist comes from is the one in the Doctor Who universe. The Doctor will also make appearances in later chapters.
