This fic takes place about 2 years after Rainbow Dash's number was drawn. Rainbow Dash wakes up inside a coffin with no knowledge of how she got there, or how she died. All she knows is that everyone thinks she's dead, she has no wings, no cutie mark, and no organs. And she has a strange sense that one of her friends knows more about Rainbow's death than she's telling. I know, it sounds really dumb, but give it a chance! Read, comment, and enjoy!

Adagio used to pay for everything, but ever since that fateful encounter, she was simply too depressed. Sonata thought she could do it, but suddenly, Aria was paying for everything.

Sonata wondered; where is she getting all the money?

This story takes place during the Season Five finale, "The Cutie Re-Mark". As such, there are spoilers ahead.

Starlight Glimmer's plan is working. All she has to do is upset Rainbow Dash's rainboom-creating race in the past, and Twilight Sparkle's connection with her friends will be severed. And she's done it. Repeatedly. Sure, Twilight can go back in time to try and stop her, but Starlight will always be brought back as well. No matter what Twilight tries, no matter how many times she returns, she can't stop Starlight. They're evenly-matched, and it's much easier to disrupt events than it is to preserve them.

That means Starlight wins, right?

A real hero doesn't brag?

Just because she likes to talk about how awesome she is means Rainbow isn't a hero?

After her friends revealed themselves to her, Rainbow Dash reacts to Applejack's words in a completely different way than what's expected, and things only go downhill from there. Tears will be shed, friendships will be broken, and knives will be twisted as everything that can go wrong WILL.

It was supposed to be a great success. Two best guitarists in Canterlot High and a vocalist who only needed to remind herself how to sing forming a supergroup. What could possibly go wrong?
