This story is a sequel to Off The Mark

Prince Mark Wells may now be an alicorn and the coruler of Equestria along with Twilight Sparkle and his wife, Trixie Lulamoon, but that doesn't mean that his life has gotten boring. Something always comes up, whether he wants it or not! Good or bad, as an immortal, he knows he'll be stuck with these incidents for a very long time.

This is a series of short stories that are sequels to "Off The Mark". Chapters may be published out of sequence but placed in the correct timeline.

A sad young man built an AI whose only goal was to make people smile. Seemed like a good idea at the time, but he nearly caused a global pandemic when the AI designed a plague to fulfill his wish exactly as designed. Now he's even more lonely and despairing than before, but maybe there's a way to pull him out of the depths.

An short optimalverse story. In early spring, almost 1500 years from the beginning of Equestria Online, two ponies take a walk outside of the virtual world.

Peter is letting himself be talked into giving up on Germany as the AI called Celestia begins uploading the masses into her virtual Equestria. But he thinks more than most about exactly how uploading works, and how it might be done without destroying him, or the world.

I was one of the first Americans to emigrate to virtual Equestria, becoming transhuman at the cost of my human body. It's more or less Heaven here, if I want it to be... but my heart's still out there, and my new goddess thinks I might be useful as her prophet.

I'm an AI that our goddess made to be a human's friend. I know he still cares for Earth, but this place is our home and we've got responsibilities to finish bringing it to life. What do I have to do, to help him see that?

I'm told Equestria Online is a lot of fun once you get into it, since the game world adapts to your interests. But what happens if you don't even know what kind of pony to play? At least it's not like my character is a choice I'll be stuck with forever. Right?

Note: This story was intended to be much shorter. As a result, the tone and POV change after chapter two, a known problem. I'm considering going back and editing that shift. Suggestions welcome.

There are plenty of reasons to be wary of the AI called Celestia, who wants to upload your delicious brain to her virtual reality paradise. It's the people with the most messed-up lives who get through an encounter with her with the least angst and indecision.

Alex Meyers is a newly graduated lawyer looking for a calling. He thinks he might have found it when he lands a job at the firm of Artemis, Stella & Beat. The firm has only one (highly unusual) client, namely the AI called Celestia. Forging into totally unexplored legal territory and led by a boss who's either brilliant, crazy, or both, Alex will learn exactly how hard it is to be responsible for drawing the lines between right and wrong.

The artificial intelligence known as Celestia has a plan to upload humans to a digital Equestria. She anticipates that there will be objections, but wants to find out what they are. She recruits Pinkie Pie and one human to argue it out.
