Spike has admired Rarity for a long time, to the point where he would follow her to a fault. But when he thinks Rarity doesn't want his company as much as he does, he wishes that his feelings were mutual.

And wouldn't you know it, he gets his wish. All the attention, all the love and kisses a young drake could hope for. It's a dream come true...

...Until all that attention becomes invasive.

While normally far from the type to play video games, especially violent ones, Rarity finds herself convinced to join the girls in playing Black Sunset, one of the most popular games in the country. It's not long, however, until the game has her thinking about what's going on with her life. Namely, Spike. While the years had both washed over them, blossoming her into a mature, college educated woman and Spike into a fine lad himself on his junior year in high-school, his obvious interest in her has yet to fade. Rather, it's grown stronger.

A part of her yearns for the simpler times, back when he was a child with a childish crush.

But another faint, diminutive part of her is curious. Wanting. Wanting to sit back and listen to him. Listen to him express himself to her.

In his own way.

For Spike, losing his first baby tooth means he's one step closer to becoming an adult and the benefits that provides. For everypony else, it means getting a visit from the tooth fairy. Of course, Spike's old enough to realize that the tooth fairy isn't real...or is she?

Sweetie Belle gets curious about where babies come from, so she confronts Rarity about it.

Everypony in Ponyville is happy, carefree, and content with their life on the whole... except one. Rarity harbors a dark, murderous secret. She is Equestria's only active serial killer. She has to balance her fashion life, her friends, and her murderous urges as best as she can. This is the story of her mind.

On a cold winter day, Rarity and Big Mac sit in front of a fire at Sweet Apple Acres, remembering the start of their relationship.

Spike is determined to show Rarity that what he feels is more than just a simple crush.

It's a cold New Year's Eve, but everyone is keeping warm at Sugar Cube Corner's New Year's Party. Of course, it would be better if Spike could get up the nerve to ask Rarity for a New Year's Kiss.

Sweetie Belle overhears Rarity at the door with Spike. She tries to comfort her sister, but, in the process, her own feelings about Spike and Rarity come to light.

Authors notes: The first chapter is super short (its also really awesome if I do say so myself) but the rest won't be. Promise. There will be some combat later on, but at the moment, it won't be super graphic, so again, dodging a bullet.
