A mother will do a lot for her child, even give them up if it meant them having a safer life growing up, despite the obvious pain that comes for the parent.

That pain is something Queen Chrysalis has gone through for eighteen years, but now the time is upon them, and she wants her daughter back. Even if that means invading Canterlot during a royal wedding.

Moondancer has been in love with Twilight for a very long time. Even after Twilight didn't show up at her party, she still had hope that her feelings were reciprocated. That didn't happen.
Although they got off to an awkward start, Twilight and Pinkie have been dating for a few months now, and they are very happy together. The two ponies are very much in love, and although the news was a surprise to their friends, their relationship has no problems. But that's not what Moondancer wants. Not at all.

A young human meets quite an unexpected twist in his life and forms a bond with something he has never seen before. He finds himself taking care of a unique pony and is eager to find out what happened to this creature and how it came to be.
