Bookshelves

  • Favourites 415 stories - 718 unread chapters Shelves A, B & C

  • The pile on the floor by my desk 13 stories - 320 unread chapters I haven't sorted these yet, but should at some point.

  • Shelf A 31 stories - 2 unread chapters Top level. This is for absolute subjective favourites as well as objectively great stories. Equivalent to 6 stars.

  • Shelf B 116 stories - 385 unread chapters Great all round in my admittedly rather forgiving opinion. Few flaws if any. Equivalent to 5 stars.

  • Shelf C 272 stories - 335 unread chapters Good and enjoyable, above average. Decent long stories, or short stories that made me smile. Equivalent to 4 stars.

  • Shelf D 107 stories - 69 unread chapters Okay. Nice and readable, but otherwise mediocre execution or concept. Either that, or the concept is good, but there are enough errors/odd phrasings/contrived character decisions that prevent me from enjoying it as much as I potentially could. Some may have been better and since declined. Equivalent to 3 stars.

  • Shelf E 9 stories - 48 unread chapters The concept or beginning attracted me and possibly still does, but the execution is poor, possibly sounding clunky or having consistently bad grammar, detracting from ease of reading. Equivalent to 2 stars.

  • Shelf F 0 stories - 0 unread chapters The concept or beginning attracted me, but the story is actually so clichéd/bad or the narration or speech itself is so basic/jarring/unrealistic that now I’m only reading out of a stubborn need to finish what I started. Equivalent to 1 star.

Next thing I know, I'm hearing voices, I can't move, I can't talk, I can't even breathe. Yet, I know I'm alive, though I don't entirely feel like myself anymore.

Then I end up being the last of survivor of my new race.

I'm not even human anymore...

Meanwhile, Dotted Line wants her to review tax rebate applications.

Coming straight out of FTL, Captain Amelia Finegold barely has time to blink as her ship, Cobalt Blue, crashes into an unknown vessel in deep-space. Struggling to get ahold of an unexpected situation, things take a turn for the bizarre when she finds out the other ship isn't driven by humans. Or even occupied by humans at all.

One moment, Twilight is asleep. The next, lights and alarms blare as she comes to grips with an unexpected emergency. Problems crop up one after the other. Irreparable damage, wounded ponies, and a new alien species?!

Set in an alternate universe where Equestria became a space-faring empire.

Small note: Some revisions have been made, thanks all!

Ponyville's new 'code enforcement professional' has got it into her thick, monotonous head that Fluttershy has too great a density of pet animals, and she's set out to rectify that situation.

Twilight, though, has a problem with this, and she'll have to use her full authority as an alicorn princess to put a stop to it.

The war is finally over. We ponies have lost. Our plan to convert humanity into ponies has failed. Hundreds of thousands are dead. Homes destroyed. Our nation is shattered and near annihilation. All because we underestimated humanity and their refusal to become like us.

I alone now hold the fate of my people in my hooves against the humans who want nothing more than to destroy us for the so called atrocities we have committed against them. I've lost my friends one way or another. My family. My fellow Princesses.

I have but one duty and that is, reluctantly, to see that we are shown mercy.

I'm just afraid of the cost. Or what I will learn from this.

Based on The Conversion Bureau series.

For years, Twilight Sparkle and Queen Chrysalis have been at each other's throats. Both have experienced victory over the other, and both have experienced defeat. Out of all the creatures in Equestria, none despise each other the way the pony Princess and changeling Queen do. They seemed destined to remain locked in battle forever, or at least until one is finally dead at the hooves of the other. The cruel insults, the vicious loathing, and the powerful spells that have passed back and forth between them at each meeting have become the stuff of legend.

Imagine Twilight's surprise when she finds out changelings consider this dating.

And now they're married.

Dee was a very brave batpony who always obeyed her Mama, but every year during the full moon, when the leaves began to change and the cold winds blew, she felt the tug of a city far, far away, where the other children told of monsters who came out to play for one night. This year she is determined to travel all the way through the forest to the city and see with her own eyes just what is so special, no matter how dangerous the trip is, no matter how far she has to fly, or how frighteningly different the monsters are.

Or how similar.
