Applejack has had worked hard at Sweet Apple Acres for almost nine years now to meet a decent productivity. That along with the grief of her parents death (which she blames herself for), she finds herself in the same position every night. When her secret obsession is exposed, her filly friend feels the need to help get down to the roots of her problem.

This story breaks away from the canon episode right in the scene where Apple Bloom confronts Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo about her sister's constant babying of her.**

As an alternate avenue of events of Somepony to Watch Over Me, Applejack's babying of her sister goes too far and into an even more babyish territory. Apple Bloom's friends get dragged into it as a result.

Quiet nights in an empty house has made the timid pony Fluttershy feel a bit vulnerable. With nopony around during the nightly hours, sleeping at home has become a bit frightening. Cadance helps the pegasus out by offering a little bit of pampering to calm the pony down.

Mere weeks from giving birth, Rarity invites Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy to stay with her while her husband is away on business. In the months since they last saw each other, Rainbow had only grown more bitter over Rarity's sudden leave from Ponyville. A few misplaced words were all it took for everything to fall apart at the worst possible moment, and nopony was quite prepared for what happened next.

** Set almost three years after Twilight's disappearance in A Decade Lost (or, just over seven years before Twilight's reappearance). Reading A Decade Lost beforehand is not necessary, but should clear up any questions you have.

Twilight, in an effort to help Applejack and Rainbow Dash achieve their dream of having a foal together, casts a spell that, unbeknownst to the princess, envelops all of Ponyville and plunges the little ponies (and one dragon) into a vortex of unknown genetic exchange and unplanned parenthood. What's more, the solution may come with severe complications of its own, and thus Twilight finds herself tasked with finding a resolution where there is likely none to be had.

1000 years ago...
When King Sombra was sealed in his icy prison by the rulers of Equestria, a chip of his horn was cut off leaving his dark magic behind. The magic manifested, and roamed the land until it found a suitable host, That host was Azure Shine, but instead of taking over, Azure Shine gets pregnant.

Now Azure Shine has a foal out of no where, that possibly could be a copy of King Sombra, but that foals name is Grey Star.

It's been nine months since the wedding in Canterlot and the changeling race was defeated and all is well. Until Queen Chrysalis returns with very surprising news.

She is nine months pregnant!

But why does she come back just because of that? Because she says one of the ponies she touched/was touched by during the wedding is the one who got her pregnant.

Changelings don't reproduce the way ponies or any other creature does. So even two females can have a baby together. So who is the daddy/other mother? Is it Shining Armor? She did have lots of contact with him. Cadance? She was the one Chrysalis captured. Twilight? Technically they did share a small amount of contact. Or... could it honestly be Princess Celestia?!

One of these four is the other parent to this unborn changeling/pony hybrid. And now they won't know who until after the foal is born. But each one is conflicted about what they will do if it is theirs.

And each one puts a little effort into trying to be nice with their possible-baby's-momma. And they get to know the Queen of changelings a little more. And there's a lot more than they thought there was...

It's been a few months since Sombra has tried to regain control of the Crystal Empire, and in that time Applejack has become accustomed to a few changes. She's dealing with being pregnant, making sure that her friends are alright, and trying to help her Fiancé deal with the loss of his best friend. It's a long road, with a lot of weary miles, but it's possible that this farm pony has more than enough to see it through.

DustStorm and his investigative partner, FlashRain are sent to investigate. Little do they know what they are getting into.

The ponies who go missing are put into a competetive game. The losers are slowly regressed back to foalhood.
