Its been two years since Spell Nexus was defeated and his cult destroyed, Nyx and Twilight Sparkle have been preparing for another winter. One that is having an odd effect on Nyx.

As the winter draws even closer, Nyx begins to remember a filly, not from her past, but from Lunas. Filled with questions but nopony to answer them, Nyx investigates as to who this white filly of the snow is, and how she is tied to her past.

Can Nyx discover who this filly in her memory is? Or will the answers be buried beneath the snow.

When pursuing Starlight, Twilight and Spike experienced variances of Equestria, and saw how the river of time could have been different. Now, Starlight has moved in with Twilight, Nyx, and Spike and has begun her studies in friendship. To thank those who have helped her embrace friendship once more, Starlight has created an enchantment that allows the castle’s map table to let anyone glimpse other variances of reality.

The power to ask “what if,” can be a source of great amusement… but for some, the hypotheticals are haunting reminders of what could have been.

Having just returned from Starlight's village, Twilight and her friends set about salvaging what they could from the Golden Oak Library with sparsely any success. A few books here, a mannequin there. And with luck, a few reminders of the past can be re-discovered beneath the broken boards and fallen branches.

It is on this salvage that Twilight and her friends discover the doll Nyx had kept since her days of darkness had been less fortunate then most of her other belongings. Afraid of upsetting Nyx, Twilight requests Rarity's help, only things don't go quite as planned and Rarity ends up having to remake it from scratch.

So this story got mentioned in one of Pen Strokes newest Past Sins Sequel, Glimpses, There are no words that describe my joy at this. I thank him again for creating Nyx and Past Sins, and for being a splendid fellow.

Will her plans succeed? Or will they backfire in the most unexpected of ways?

Shortly after the Nightmare Moon incident, Nyx has began to want to experience a foalhood and a meeting with her grandparents seals the deal.

For one so young to be alone such as her would be to throw a child over a cliff. Darkness would surely take her and in the end starvation end her. She was alone in the world, nobody to care for her anymore, and just weeks after a tragedy that led her to this state. She was lost in the world, awaiting a fate she had no concept of.

She was wild when she found her, a little girl in rags, afraid of contact with strangers, with people who had showed her mistreatment since she had come to be homeless and in poverty. Still she took her in, and cared for her. They formed a bond that could be unbroken. A home provided, a person to count on, talk to, and care for her. Somebody to love her for who she is.

This is NOT supposed to be a rewrite or copy of Past Sins, some events in the first few chapters may be similar, or have some elements that mirror some of the events. Later chapters will be very different. Please be open minded.

It is the middle of winter, it was cold that day, but that night was even colder. Freezing in her bed at night, Nyx seeks out the warmth of one who has always been there to love and comfort her. Winter is a season of rest, as Nyx is about to learn, though cold and as harsh as a Windigo's call, it can be a beautiful, and wonderful time of year.

This story is a sequel to Past Sins

In the wake of the battle with Tirek, Twilight Sparkle becomes fixated on restoring Golden Oaks Library. After all, it was home for her little family of three. But as her attempts to repair the books and tree continuously fail, her friends must take matters into their own hooves. Discord, as the good friend he is, tosses Twilight and her extended family into an unexpected adventure while Twilight's other friends get to work on the new crystal palace.

All together, they'll do everything to ensure Twilight and her family have a place to call home when they reach the end of the road.

In Equestrian heraldry, the Kite Shield is a symbol of protection and strength, and those ponies with a kite shield cutie mark are usually honor bound to bravely protect any sapient being who may need their aid, often at great risk to their own lives.

This is the story of two ponies with such cutie marks, and what these cutie marks reveal to the other.

One pony is a gallant and brave career soldier, who has devoted his entire life to protecting Equestria from all enemies foreign and domestic.

The other is the reincarnated form of one of Equestria's greatest villains, given a second chance, now honor bound to use her power to protect the ponies she cares about.

It is a year since the events of Winter Bells and great changes are afoot this Hearth's Warming, as a newborn alicorn prince binds Twilight’s family closer than ever. And a conversation about the similar marks on their hides will give Uncle and Niece a new and better understanding of each other, and of each other's place in Equestria's emerging future.
