When Derick's little brother becomes the target of a supernatural force, the two find themselves in the center of a plot that goes back decades.

King Sombra the feared, hated, and reviled regent of the Crystal Empire has finally returned from his banishment at the hooves of Equestria’s ruling diarchs. He awakens to see that his empire has returned with him before he swiftly reconquers it to little resistance.

Without wasting much time he draws up plans to defend the empire, now safely back under his control, from its Equestrian neighbors to the south. And knowing Celestia and Luna he’s surprised that they have not already reacted to his empire’s re-emergence; however, he just brushes it off thinking himself lucky for their sloppiness. As he waits for the princesses' response it eventually becomes apparent that there won’t be one.

Confused, he begins using various methods to try and get in contact with Equestria. After many failed attempts and a worrying report from a border guards’ patrol he starts trying to get in touch with the other countries of the world only to receive nothing in return. Following an even more worrying report from a scouting mission to Equestria and the appearance of a mysterious plague that only seems to afflict the crystal ponies, Sombra is at wit's end.

Determined to find out what is going on outside his empire’s walls he puts his plans of war against and the conquering of Equestria aside and sets out on a mission. A mission that will soon lead him to find out that the world he and his empire have returned to is nothing like the one they left. And the answers Sombra seeks could threaten to destroy not only him, but the world itself.

Shining Armor doesn't know much about his origin. Where he came from, who his birth parents were, how he ended up being found on the edge of the frozen north; heck, he didn't even know the name of his species until he was in the Guard Cadets. Personally, he didn't care much to find out more: He loved his parents, his sister Twilight, and especially Cadence.

Now, ripped away from his family and the support of his nation, he's gonna have to learn... Quickly.

One thousand years ago, the Ancient Ones arrived. To each of their progeny they came seeking submission, and came to rule through peace or through blood. The Princess asked two sisters to cede their rule over Equestria. When they refused, she banished them to the moon, their forlorn visages to ever look down upon the denizens and nation they lost. 

With the one thousandth Summer Solstice Celebration approaching, the Royal Scholar Twilight Sparkle discovers a prophecy that The Mares in the Moon shall escape with the aid of the Stars, and return to Equestria with fire and fury. However, she is ordered by The Princess to disregard such a false prediction and assist with preparations in the small township of Ponyville. 

A madmare, a farmer, a braggart, a socialite and a wallflower may be her only hope of saving Equestria.

A Lovecraft-Lite AU which is inspired by the Lovecraft Mythos, but does not require having read Lovecraft stories in the past to understand.

A town of sailors and merchants - all Earth Ponies, of course. The thought of a Unicorn or Pegasus wandering in is impossible.

Arc 4 is here! Sunny and friends, with newest addition Regan, head north. A storm is brewing above the Frozen North threatening to swallow the Realm, and the Yeti Prince is behind it. The first real test of Sunny’s resolve has come – and she may not walk away this time without losing something.

There are an innumerable amount of worlds Sunset could have been sent to. Fewer where she kept her magic. Even fewer that have others with powers. In fact there's full teams of heroes and villains in this world. But Sunset's never really been much of a team player. She stayed on her own, under the radar as she built herself up from nothing.

One night though, things go wrong and she starts attracting attention.

Hazy and Star Sparkle, daughters of Princess Twilight Sparkle, wake up to find themselves in the ruins of the palace of the royal pony sisters. Scared and confused, they explore the ruins in search of answers to what happened or where they are. Only to come to the realisation, the question isn't where, but when.

Realising that they're in the past, before their own births and without the ability to call upon their mother to save them. These two will have to face every threat and danger their mother told them about in hushed tones at night. However their actions will change the course of the future and force the pair to forge their own destinies.

Armed with their mother's stories and new friends, will the two sister's find that friendship is truly magic?

After one total rewrite, Daughters of Dusk finally sees the light of day! This is an Alt Universe/Alt History fic, inspired by me and a friend questioning "what if the Alicorn versions of our OCs wound up in the show during season 1?"

So, in an attempt to answer this question I've started to write this! Tackling the story one season at a time, with an entirely different cast of element of harmony bearers.

Expect some surprises for who will be the element bearers, a lot of changes from canon, and hopefully a good story along the way!
