Sometimes, events occur that take us on a completely different, and unexpected path. This happened to Ryan Williams one chilly morning, who took a stroll as a broken man and returned home as a father. But no one, man or alicorn, can ever claim to be able to know where our paths will take us, or even when they will end.

I really have no idea. I'm trying to shoot for a more consistent release schedule, try being the operative word, but honestly right now I'm just hoping for the time between chapters to not be measured in months (or, you know, years).

I remember when I first read Redemption back in 2014. I'm fairly certain it was before I even made an account. Seeing this story and reading it gave me such a kick of nostalgia. Back when I was just a 17 year old kid. To think I became a Deputy and then a PMC. To think that even in the heat of the Kuwait desert I still got a chill that ran down my spine seeing this. Thanks for the memories man.

Wow, what a start to a new fic! With the different plotlines laid out and future ones hinted at, I'm eager to see where this goes for sure. More humans, changelings, and political games - I can't help but feel that this story might mirror the slow build-up of the predecessor, while still doing its own thing. I'd like to see some emotional stress or familial drama from Celestia and Luna overprotecting Ryan because it'd be a cool inverse of the dynamic from Redemption while still sticking with the themes we loved so much. I also wonder how he would react were he to find out about Luna's thousand-year banishment. Hopefully it's interesting enough to be included. Regardless, I'm definitely looking forward to more.

Had this story on my mind so I'm back for a revisit; well, this and the previous one, that is.
Regardless of its status, I hope everything is alright on the personal side of things! This absolutely nails the sentimentality I love to see, so of course I hope to eventually see more, but more than anything, I hope things are alright for the author, looking at the most recent tome they were active.
Either way, just thought I'd drop a line. This story and its previous entry deserve that much, at least!
