Before every great journey, there are the trailblazers and adventurers who open the doors to the future. Every significant expedition is built upon the achievements of those who came before, those who worked and sacrificed to make the future possible. For the ponies of Equestria, the forerunners of the future are the crew of the ESA Harmony, a ship lead by Princess Twilight Sparkle and built with one purpose: exploration. The crew have their orders: arrive at a nearby exoplanet, engage in scientific and research operations, then return home with the results. And with those results, more missions will be built, and the future of Equestria will be defined.

But even in our greatest moments, there are those who long for yesterday, and will do everything in their power to prevent change. The crew of the Harmony are not immune to the agents of regression, and when a saboteur strikes in deep space, the crew finds that their mission has changed. Instead of finding the future of ponykind, they find themselves fighting for their survival aboard a crippled vessel. With tensions rising and the mission effectively scrubbed, Twilight Sparkle embarks upon a new mission: identify the saboteur, and return the crew to Equestria, alive and well.

A new disease. Some sort of radiation poisoning, and at the same time, not. The doctors can't help me, not just yet. Into the tube I go. I'll see you in five years, my wonderful Sarah. I love you.

One last ship. A single set of coordinates. I have no idea where they will take me, but there isn't anything else left for me here. Although, the 'Magic of Friendship' is a strange name for a space ship. I'm changing that to the 'Millennium Falcon' the first chance I get!
(As before, rated teen and gore, due to the fact I swear. A lot. You know, in case you didn't notice! And gore, because I'm not even sure where I'm going with this one!)

This story is a sequel to Freeport Venture: More Equal than Others

Sunset Shimmer had grand ambitions upon becoming Freeport's only magus, most importantly helping out the citizens of Freeport itself. When she hears of an outlying farming community in danger from a horde of undead, she knows she has to help them. Even if they can't pay her fees, it's the right thing to do.

However, this new challenge might be too much for her to handle. These zombies are unlike anything she's ever seen, and an old enemy is mixed up in the middle of all of this. Sunset has no idea what dark secrets the undead horde hides, or the danger posed by the necromancer behind it.

Rainbow Dash finds herself in the middle of a place filled with people she does not recognize, using technology she does not understand. Upon trying to discover the truth, she is met with a terrifying realization. Now, she must make her way through a new landscape with the culture of an entirely new race surrounding her.

This storyline serves as an opportunity to meld the science fiction of Philip K Dick's novel "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" with the fantasy world of My Little Pony.

A human is dying. His mind grasps for a realm to survive in and finds help from the pony Roseluck. Together, they must find a way to the House of Dust where the keepers of the dead roam amongst the fallen. He must plead his case in hopes of regaining life in the face of those who only see death.

The writing style and themes of this story were inspired by The Epic of Gilgamesh, but with a modern twist.

Other pony characters will be introduced later in the story and I will add their tags as they appear in later chapters. The cover art for this already hints at one of them...

Humans have been on Mars for a while, but never before have they seen a unicorn. In the city of Syria Planum Alpha, Rarity is found sealing off an entire city block with a protective shield while the human leader, Jericho, realizes that a team of cops and criminals are organizing outside the perimeter and preparing an assault on Red District 3. Together, the humans and unicorn will have to find a way to stand up and fight. Or perish.

This is an extension of my story "Do Pegasi Dream of Flying Sheep?" This details the events Rarity undergoes during the time Rainbow Dash is searching the city of Syria Planum Alpha. You do not need to read Rainbow Dash's story to understand this because they are both their own self-contained stories which happen to occur in the same world.

Armin suffers from a rare degenerative bone condition which will result in the end of his life if he doesn't take drastic measures soon. Thankfully, advancements in robotics and medical technology have provided him with a new option: The Meta-Frame. This technologically advanced exosuit will repair his body and stabilize his condition, but he will never be allowed to take it off ever again.

With the help of his robotic friend Pinkie Pie, Armin decides on the new exosuit identity he will wear for the rest of his life, wondering if perhaps he should join his pony pal with a body similar to hers...

Along the way, they'll meet other robotic partners based on famous retro television shows like Doctor Who, explore what it means to be human, and learn how to survive an identity crisis which will either be a rebirth of self or a repression of who Armin really is. Then again, perhaps things are not as clear-cut as they would seem...

Edit (Jun 23, 2016): Thanks to some plot developments starting in Chapter 5, including slightly more mature discussion, this story rating has been raised from "E" to "T" and the new tag "Romance" has been added, because it's gonna happennnn. Nurse Redheart has also been added as a major character tag. :P

A mysterious plague has spread across the face of Equestria. Called "Star Sickness," it spread from meteorite impacts, causing those infected to waste away and turn to dust. Equinaut Applejack was part of a 3-pony crew meant to undertake a one-way mission to the source of the asteroids, originating in Pluto or its moon Charon. At the last minute, the other two Equinauts were infected with the sickness themselves, leaving AJ to complete the mission alone.

Can she overcome her isolation and complete the mission for the good of Equestria? She has the rest of her life to think about it...
