Or finding what normal even is now that peace has been restored after years of the dark.

Twilight is assassinated. Repeatedly. If only anypony knew what the word "immortal" meant...

Twilight has a bit of a problem. You see, she always does Princess Celestia's bidding, regardless of how ridiculous the task or insane the request. Now, it'd be just a shame if someone were to abuse this knowledge to their own malicious ends. The only question is, how far will they go?

The Everfree forest is just like any other forest—except it's full of monsters and weird magic junk, but ignoring that—it sometimes grows out of control and needs to be trimmed a bit. In order to keep the forest from growing too large, Celestia asks Twilight to start a controlled forest fire to burn a portion of it down. It seems like a simple request, but a series of mishaps and misunderstandings lead to some miscommunication and, subsequently, to Twilight setting fire to all of Equestria.

While on a trip to Canterlot to do some research, Twilight happens upon a dust-covered book titled Insane Edicts: A Legal History of Equestria. Sure, the book seem innocuous enough, but when she opens it up she discovers that Celestia is far more eccentric than she'd like to believe.

Ranma and company are used to strange unusual phenomenon, it comes with living in Nerima. Going from two legs to four though? That's a new one for them, even if it seems unusually simple for some.

Ranma chases a potential cure for his curse in Equestria, which — unsurprisingly — goes awry.

Now there are two of him, one male and one female, and the latter has to come to terms with it and forge a new life.

Ranma gets sucked into a book that makes him the protagonist of its story, one which follows the past exploits of Twilight Sparkle. Unfortunately for him, he has no idea how the story is supposed to go, or how to leave the book.
