This story is a sequel to Luna's Night Out

Mark is visiting Equestria a month after his and Luna's birthday night at the bar they had met in, and he has a week to spend it all with Luna. They had hit it off amazingly their first night knowing each other, yet a whole week with each other is a lot of time for events to change relationships and views. Despite Princess Luna being royalty, Mark plans on enjoying most of his time with her, along with making her time with him just as pleasant.

On April 18, 2543, during the battle of Psi Serpentis, Vice Admiral Preston Jeremiah Cole and the crew of the UNSC Everest gave their lives to defend humanity. Cole had been the most successful military commander in the history of the UNSC, winning twenty-five consecutive battles against the Covenant. His accomplishments were remembered, and he was honored as a fallen hero. But do heroes ever truly die?

This story takes place immediately after the "Death" of Preston J. Cole in the short story; The Impossible Life and the Possible Death of Preston J. Cole, written by bestselling author Eric Nylund. The story is from the novel, Halo Evolutions Volume 1.

I highly recommend that you read this short story, so that you may better understand Cole's back-story. Otherwise this crossover may be slightly confusing to the readers.

Also, the drawing of Cole on the left depicts him from his younger days. In the story he is over seventy years old, so as you can tell the picture is not up to date, but it was the best I could find. If anyone knows of a better, high resolution image of him, or his ship I would appreciate knowing about it. Pretty much anything that you will find will be fan-made, so that doesn't matter.

The UNSC Yamato on her maiden voyage sets out to a distress sent out by a colony only to arrive to a glassed planet and a fleeing Covenant force. Can the UNSC stop the Covenant before they glass this world or will it join all the others burned up in this crazy war. The one thing that throws a wrench in the mix... Ponies.

After a smash and grab mission goes haywire, the Master Chief finds himself in Equestria. As he meets the ponies we all know and love, his past with Cortana haunts him as he struggles with his new life.

But a threat who wants revenge makes their move . Will John 117 move on from the past to face the enemy, or will he not care and doom the ponies to their fate?

In the pony timeline, this takes place after Tirek is defeated. In the Halo timeline, it takes place after Halo 4 and before the events of Halo 5.

Unable to tell reality apart from his imagination, John's world is falling through the cracks. He can't tell if this place is real or is just his mind's conjuration of a world where he can escape his own. Cortana told him he was home. Is this what she meant, or is he just unable to open his eyes and accept what happened?

Some cynic that happened to live his life in Equestria, trying to live his day to day life in relative comfort and minimal contact with ponies. But through after some coaxing from his friends (read as blackmail) he was forced to attempt to steal the royal crowns from the palace and caught in the act. However, given a chance to redeem himself, the thief is offered the choice to become Princess Celestia's royal attendant.

With little other choice, this would be thief's life is turned on it's head. And now instead of a steady inconspicuous life, filled with ease and mediocrity, his life is now one of warmth, excitement, and a friendship that can only be forged once a thief begins honoring the sun.
