Inside the Everfree Forest are dangers and monsters. At times, Fluttershy wonders why she had her cottage placed so close to those horrible woods; when the howls of the wind and animals break against her house... Fear is relative, as they say. We're more afraid of what we don't know then what we do know.

Here I am, thrown in as a changling Queen far before the Canterlot invasion, watch as I- A: make my whole race terrified of me B: overthrow a changeling god! C: die, a lot. D: all of the above.

Uhmm… so I just talk into this? Oh, ok. Well, I’m in a room with a few soldiers. They seem nice enough, and they want me to talk about my mother. They say she’s not my mother but I know that’s not true. I am eight years old and I am a changeling named Pet. But they say that’s also not true.
They want me to talk about growing up in the hive.

That's my Entry for the EQD Summer Fanfic Contest 2014

Jango is a Timberwolf who lives in Everfree Forest and finds a little and abandoned filly through the woods. Overcoming all the bad thoughts, Jango decides to take care of the filly and raise her as his own cub. Jango did not expect that taking care of a pony was so exhausting, but fun at the same time.

Splinter is your average Timber Wolf, he hunts, he eats, he sleeps and then he eats some more. Rinse, lather and repeat. However, after being permanently handicapped whilst hunting a SERIOUSLY annoying rabbit, things quickly go south for the poor mutt. Now it seems as if he's going to have to adapt to being some hillbilly foal's pet.

Not if he has anything to say about it.

Join splinter as he valiantly makes a stand against hick ponies, aggrovating foals and an absolute hellspawn of a bunny!

Chrysalis appears in the Crystal empire to reveal that, when she was impersonating Cadence, she and Shining Armor had a child. Unable to feed the young Prince Hornet with love alone, she forces Cadence to adopt the child. Sadly, Prince Hornet is not only destructive, he is a living testament to his father's unintentional infidelity, putting intense strain on both Cadence and Shining Armor. Can Cadence learn to cope with this problem child and the fact that she now knows she has "shared" her husband with the creature she hates the most?

"Mama? I wanna be a Pony when I grow up!"

That one sentence change the life of a young Timberwolf pup, later named Tabitha. When suddenly disowned by her Mama and the rest of her pack. Left to fend for herself, she wonders out of the Everfree Forest and finds a bush to curl up in outside of a small cottage where the shy little pony lives.

Can Tabitha, nicknamed Tabby, with the help of her now adopted loving mother Fluttershy, fit in with the other ponies and finally become what she wishes to be?

But there are problems along the way that she must face to achieve her life goals; like facing angry frightened ponies, her natural instincts, becoming a vegetarian and learning to speak their language.

Timberwolves need some love and happy endings! Right?

A Pegasus foal that Rarity found in the unexplored Windless Woods appears to be as uncivilized and savage as they come. Seeing it as her sworn duty as the Element of Generosity, she takes him into her home and with some help from Sweetie Belle, tries to teach him the civilized skills needed to integrate into pony society...

Considering that he seems to have the mentality of a Timberwolf, and appears to lack the basic concepts of pony communication and ways of life, this could prove difficult.
