Princess Celestia needs a break. After a thousand years of non-stop hard work with no break, Celestia decides that she needs one. Now. Of course, a Princess can't have breaks, so she goes to Queen Chrysalis for help.

Every town has its secrets, and Ponyville is no different. There are tales of a mysterious Party Pony, one who sneaks into houses and leaves cake for ponies’ birthdays. 

But nopony knows the truth.

She’s real. 

And she’s a lot friendlier than even the rumors say.

Diamond dogs don't concern themselves with the affairs of the surface and, if they had their way, wouldn't go topside at all. Unfortunately, there's things of value up there, and so they regularly send scouts, with scout duty the punishment for disruptive dogs to remind them why they stay beneath the earth.

Precious has been exiled to scout duty, but she doesn't mind that at all. The surface world can be downright beautiful, and when she's up here she doesn't have to deal with Rover's ego. She's very content to spend her days beneath the sun, watching for any ponies that become separated from the herd.

Until she meets a pony. One who talks to her. And she figures she can afford to let one pony go. No one will ever know.

She should have realized that one pony never stays just one pony.

Forty years after the lunar rebellion and the Long Night, two young deer hungry for adventure find a mysterious crown in the blasted ruins of a pony castle. Honor-bound to return the artifact to its rightful owner, they must travel through a dark and dangerous land to uncover the secrets of the crown’s power and save the spirit of a wayward queen.

My attempt at a more serious 'Luna meets Neil Armstrong' storyline. What would really happen, both on the moon and on Earth? Inspired by 'The Eagle has Landed' by CyanBlackStone.

Princess Luna has found herself on a very different moon after some strange force interfered with her banishment. She doesn't know what the metal objects that keep orbiting and sometimes landing there are, but she wants to find out. Meanwhile, Neil Armstrong believes that being the first man on the moon will be the crowning achievement of his life. Hoo boy, is he ever in for a surprise.

Twilight the dragon has never really felt at home in the Dragon Lands. Unlike most dragons, she values intelligence, and is seen as a pariah for it. But things change when she comes across a purple pony named Spike, who has come to the dragon lands on a "Friendship Mission."
But he must be in the wrong place. After all, dragons don't do friendship.

Anyone can perform the ritual to call forth a nature spirit, but the trick lies in the offering used to draw their attention. Arcane scholars agree it should be something incredibly rare and/or valuable. Gold, jewels, exotic spices and unguents...

Applejack has a jug of cider, and she hopes figures any djinni with working taste buds will be more than happy with it.
