After the events of summer camp at Everfree, the dreams never evade Flash Sentry. Every night, he dreams of Twilight Sparkle. And every day he goes to school, the Twilight that attends Canterlot High is his world's. And he misses the magical, other worldly girl. However, despite his dreams, the boy is not the only one coping with emotions.

After the first night of celebration in Ponyville, Spike woke up to find himself as his pony caretaker, Twilight Sparkle. To add to his shock, the original Spike still acted like the dragon himself. Who was he then?

Facing with such a bizarre occurrence, the now-pony decided to go about fixing it alone, and trotted down a path of unknown.

An 'interquel' scene to the events of "The Fault in Our Cutie Marks," when the CMC come to Twilight, she realizes that Starlight Glimmer is the leading expert on cutie mark magic in perhaps all of Equestria and sends them to her. While the chain of events is not significantly altered by this, the CMC do get a glimpse into the mind of Twilight's new student.

Human Twilight Sparkle is about to move into her new student dorm. While reflecting on her old life and friends, she decides to do something she pushed back far too long:
Writing a letter to Sunset Shimmer.

The portal between Equestria and Sunset Shimmer’s world has closed unexpectedly. Despite Twilight and Sunset’s best efforts, the girls have been unable to come up with a solution. However much to Twilight’s surprise, there’s also another message to a different pony.

Celestia has kept a secret that she has told no pony but one, and now that secret is about to step out of the shadows and into the light.

After surprisingly coming to life, Midnight Sparkle is more than ready to tackle on the adventure called life. Her "sister" doesn't really share her excitement. Velvet and Nightlight are pretty much lost. Shining Armor is as unhelpful as always. Cadance feels guilty. And the Rainbooms are ready to pull off another rainbow-laser-beam exorcise.
