In every world, era, and species, adolescents think they're the first to invent or discover whatever they come across. It's not hard to see why. In the flower of youth, every experience is new and fresh and exciting, especially the ones previous generations won't discuss. Not in polite company, anyway. Certainly not with their children.

Well, "exciting" isn't always the best word to describe those discoveries. Sometimes it's "horrifying." Especially when it involves certain alicorn princesses.

Another year, another Hearths Warming. For Luna and Chrysalis, it is their turn to host the traditional dinner. While some ponies may feel out of place, a revelation will leave everypony feeling giddy this holiday season.

This story was written for Serina for Jinglemas 2023. They requested a Luna and Chrysalis story. I felt like instead of the usual "How they met" or "how they fell in love" I'd go with something set later, and a little fun.

After the events of “To Where and Back Again,” Fluttershy starts feeling bad for Queen Chrysalis, who is all alone with no other changelings and no love to satiate her hunger. So the pegasus finds Chrysalis in the Everfree Forest and offers to take care of her in the Sanctuary. Chrysalis reluctantly agrees, and finds that even though she doesn’t feel any love from Fluttershy, she feels fulfilled in other ways. The changeling queen goes through some inexplicable changes as she gets used to her new life, and wonders if it’s possible for her to love somepony else.

For a human that ended up in an alien world full of talking ponies, you've been living a surprisingly boring life. Sure, you have friends and go on adventures and stuff, but you don't really have a "purpose" per se. At least, you didn't until about a month ago, when a "heinous villain" that had been turned to stone went missing from Canterlot. Now, there's a washed-up queen crashing in your basement and stealing your love.

If only you could get her to admit that she doesn't actually steal it from you.

During the middle of the night, Sunset receives a text from Twilight. At first, she didn’t think anything of it, until she realized that Twilight was hitting on her, and she was serious about it.

It only got worse better from there.

The Memory Stone has been destroyed just in time and everyone's memories restored. At least those stolen within the last three days.

In the aftermath, Wallflower confesses to Sunset that some of what wasn't recovered was Sunset's previous memories of Wallflower - and the relationship they had together.

Twilight's castle has gone through many wild and life altering changes over the years. What once was a simple library was now the seat of a princess and her council. Not only that, over the years it's played host to so many new and interesting people; each one memorable in their own way.

Which makes it all the stranger that there's this pony tending to the books lately that nobody seems to know... But she seems so familiar!

No one gets along with Pinkie better than herself. This only proves further true when she meets her human counterpart, and they form a kinship comparable only to the love they both have for their families.

However, they inevitably come to learn the relationship they have for their respective families may be more different than they would have guessed.

Sunset Shimmer, Starlight Glimmer and Twilight Sparkle all decide to have a friendly magic duel. It sounds innocent but when a spell goes horribly wrong the three find themselves in the other's hooves, literally. While trying to find a counterspell they have to deal with their new bodies, and learn a little bit about themselves along the way. What was going to be a day of fun competition soon turned into a mess of self discovery and revelations. Though as they say, what does not kill you can only make you stronger. Although no one said it was easy.
