Many years after the invasion upon Canterlot during the wedding of Prince Shining Armor and Princess Cadence, the changelings plan to attack once again under the rule of a new leader, King Metamorphosis. Metamorphosis disguises himself as a certain colt to gain power, but his plan backfires...

With her crown stolen, Princess Twilight Sparkle must retrieve it by entering a magic mirror, that acts as a gateway to another world. Along with Spike, she ends up in the Kung Fu Panda universe! Little does she realize that her path will cross with the Dragon Warrior, the Furious Five, alternate versions of her Ponyville friends, and an unexpected ally, as they all must find a way to save both worlds from a great threat.

Dusk Shine is tasked with making sure that Princess Bluebelle's Birthday Ball goes well. Bluebelle just wants to be left alone. Fleur De Lis needs to have her chance to remain in the spotlight and within Canterlot's elite. Elusive just wants revenge for his treatment at the Grand Galloping Gala. Will Dusk Shine and Bluebelle learn about new kinds of friendship?

For almost a thousand years, the immortal Nightmare Moon has reigned over Equestria as Empress. To the average pony, Nightmare Moon is an overarching enigma whose rule is absolute and whose wrath is terrible. But to Twilight Sparkle, who as an orphan has never known her parents, the Empress is something else entirely. When the young unicorn is brought under the royal wing as an apprentice, she learns a great deal more about the supposed tyrant than she ever knew. But as Twilight is introduced to life with her new mentor, she is thrust into a world of political intrigue, conspiracies and secrets. Secrets that were never meant to be revealed. As allies and enemies plot against the very peace of the nation, will Twilight fall prey to the perils of her new position? Or will she prosper and find in Nightmare Moon the mother she never had?

What should one do when they find their current knowledge lacking? After the changeling attack, Twilight has to answer that question and for her the solution is simple enough. But her chosen path may yet turn out to be her downfall. Will the cost of knowledge be too high? Or will she be victorious in her journey into the paths of darker magic? One way or another Twilight will find it out as she learns under her new teacher. There is however one thing everypony close to Twilight should remember, that history likes to repeat itself...
