The Mane 6 are over at Twilight's for a late-night get together, just hanging out. It's late, Spike's asleep. While the Mane 6 are enjoying their time Spike begins to sleepwalk, muttering about his lousy bed. So, he pats around for a good bed and instead finds ponies, and thus the contest for who's the best bed begins.

After a few days of business, Twilight goes to the Canterlot library to unwind and study, but as she prepares to leave, she finds herself locked inside of a reading room. At first she assumes it is the act of an aspiring prankster, but as stranger and stranger things happen, she begins to question the likelihood.

3 AM is a tough time to be awake. Thankfully for Spike and Rarity, though, they don't have to be alone as well. They write each other letters. Rambles from them both. Whatever it takes to get through the night.

Then the letters stopped.
