A year passes and while Celestia tries to once again shoulder the responsibilities of the crown without her sister Luna by her side, the investigations into what happened and why have born little fruit. Rainbow Dash, the weather pony of the now ruined Ponyville, may be the key to discovering at last what happened to Luna, her friends, and her town. And perhaps what exactly it is the Candy Mare wants.

Long before the reign of Celestia and Luna, a beautiful young mare, by the name of "Fluttershy," was on her way to her new job as a teacher at a veterinarian school in Trotsylvania. She soon finds herself in the care of the Countess de Shimmer and persued by the brother of the Countess, who has been locked away in his own home.

Not long after, a gentlecolt, Dr. Van Helstallion, comes into town, hearing of strange deaths. It is then that Van Helstallion meets Fluttershy, immediately befriending her. Now, Dr. Van Helstallion must do whatever it takes to protect the young maiden, as well as the rest of Trotsylvania, from a demon that has been causing all the recent deaths... especially due to the fact that all the victims have been young mares...

I used to have one job, I was a mare who hunted vampire's to protect others, but most of the time you saw me, I wasn't jabbing a wooden stake in a creature from tartarus.

Normally I had my muzzle in a book, a real nerd I am. But one that isn't afraid to get their hooves dirty, or bloody in this case.

But now seeing my friend become one of them because of me- I couldn't continue my job as a vampire hunter.

Now it's my job to protect my vampiric friend from the ponies I hunted along side with, and also make sure Rainbow doesn't do anything dumb.

So now it's my job, and for some reason Rainbow Dash's too, to make sure nopony harms Fluttershy, and that Fluttershy harms nopony.

They say every fruit in the Evrefree Forest is poisonous save one. That there is one fruit that can be eaten and will grant you eternal youth and immunity to all poison of every kind. But the price of eating the fruit of eternal youth is that you can never find your way back home.

They say there are monsters that live in the Everfree Forest. One of them, the vampire, can make itself look like a normal pony to lure you deep into the woods. It is this creature alone that can show you the fruit of eternal youth.

Pinkie knows every legend surrounding these things. She knows she can stay safe and befriend one of these monsters, so long as what she's heard is true.

Warning! This story is a prequel to Final Corruption. You don't have to read that one to understand this, but it does contain a spoiler.
