Oh Applejack, where for art thou Applejack! Those were words Sunset thought she'd never have to hear herself say. Though there is a first time for everything. Because they were both failing drama class, they were chosen as Romeo and Juliet for the senior play. And neither of them seem to be happy about it.

Applejack's home has many extra rooms, but one is a bit more special than the rest. A tiny guestroom sits right above her bed, with an open trap door in between. Perfect for late-night chats when the thoughts are too loud for sleep.

People with nowhere to go, or no one else to talk to. Friends in need of support, and enemies in need of friends. They all find their way to that guestroom. Applejack is the rock of the group, and that won't be changing anytime soon.

...That's the plan, anyway.

After her friends respond to a call for help from Sweetie Belle, they confront the problem together and find that some things can't be solved with mere rest.

Sunset is a one-girl wrecking ball when it comes to romance. She's already been through three of her friends, and she'll not to let her pony needs get ahead of her again. But her eye's already roaming, and Applejack has invited her to spend a day on the farm. Alone. For some secret purpose.

It's okay. All Sunset has to do is keep reminding herself that it's not what she wants. Everything's fine.

Applejack's got a secret she'd kept hidden for many years. Nopony would ever have guessed what she and Twilight were up to in the library late at night, once Spike had gone to sleep. That is, until a jealous Rainbow Dash decided it was her business to find out just what in the hay was going on.

Golden Harvest is not jealous. Sure, her neighbor Applejack has a life of adventure and glamor, friends who are national heroes and princesses, an appallingly lucrative share in the local fruit market, and firm, toned flanks. And sure, by contrast, Golden Harvest has been stuck with her snout in the same old muddy patch of carrots pretty much every day since she earned her cutie mark, her best friend is a dentist, and her idea for a 'Carrot Juice Season' never really gained much ground for some reason. But Golden Harvest is not jealous.

Not jealous at all.

She just wishes Applejack would stop being so distracting.
