Being the subject of a great and powerful destiny isn't all it's cracked up to be.

If anything, it's annoying. And extremely painful.

After awakening to his fate as the purple one, Spike is immediately tasked with preventing the world from falling into the clutches of a being known only as the Shadow Sage; who, after being imprisoned in the distant past, is more than ready to make his grand return.

And what better way to commemorate the event than razing the entire world?

Now, Spike must find the four Guardian Dragons and receive instruction in each of the elements of Fire, Lightning, Ice, and Earth. Mastering all four is the only chance he has of sealing away the malevolent evils to restore order and harmony.

One minor problem: the Guardians are long gone, having faded from history at the time of the Shadow Sage's previous sealing. In addition, his forces have kidnapped the members of the Mane Six for unknown purposes, and now they must be rescued before it is too late.

"Remind me again why the fate of the world is resting on my shoulders?"

What if you had everything taken away from you? Your friends, your love, your life, everything gone in a flash of fire? What if you had a chance to save one of them? Just one of them, would you do it? And if so, how would you choose? These are the questions Rarity must face as she walks into the frozen nightmare of a Hell gone cold and face the consequences of her choice. For when you can only save one, how can you choose?

When Spike and his friends go on a trip to Daypony Beach, he's rescued from the sea by a strange filly. Despite having reservations about this mute pony, Spike and his friends welcome her into their group. However, the restless ocean--as well as the innkeepers warnings about the mysterious "ponies of the sea"--has everypony nervous, and when a nearby clan of dragons becomes involved, things go from bad to worse.

Princess Celestia met two Time Ponies long ago, Doctor Whooves and Colgate (AKA Minuette). With their help, Time has gone on smoothly and the events regarding the Elements of Harmony have gone relatively smoothly.

Still,it is becoming a a bit much for the two ponies. While Doctor Whooves has married to carry on his lineage, a piece of his TARDIS has been grown into a new TARDIS (yes it can happen, a piece of coral on Captain Jack Harkness's desk is growing into a TARDIS)

Spike was chosen at random to help carry on their duty due to his long draconic life. When something goes wrong, and Spike's life is on the line, it will take six certain mares to prevent his untimely end.

All characters are anthropomorphic. Story inspired by Path-of-Cloud's "Building a Dragon's Hoard" and "Spike and his Six Lovely Ladies" combined with watching a Doctor Who marathon.

We all know the story of how the Princess’ young student and five friends defeated Nightmare Moon and brought Princess Luna back to our lands. But what if the tale were false? What if the young Twilight Sparkle on the event of her entrance exam had not been rescued by Princess Celestia, but instead lost her mind among the power of her youthful surge and had to be sent away, far away before she could destroy all of Canterlot with her newfound power. Now the feral unicorn prowling the Everfree Forest only vaguely remembers her past, slipping away from constant terrifying attempts to capture her.

And she is beginning to remember what true power felt like.

Spike has always considered Ponyville his home, and has always held Rarity a special place in his heart. That is, until a group of dragons showed up after years of looking for him. After meeting his real family and hearing why he was brought into the ponies' care, he starts to rethink his old thoughts.

Now he only has a week to make a decision: either stay with the ponies who loved and cared for him most of his life, or go with the dragons and finally be with his real family. The decision would have been all so clear...

...if there wasn't another factor in the equation.

Taking a short cut across the beach was a bad idea during hurricane season. One arrived without warning, and Gray spotted a sturdy looking shed, he sprinted towards it for cover. But then a powerful wind swept him up...

....Princess Celestia looked out the window from her throne at the heavy storm. She went back to her paperwork, which was blown from the table by an unseen wind. There was a flash and a silhouette flew through the air, rolling to a stop at the bottom of her dais...

Okay, so this one isn't my idea. I am being give them, and am fleshing them out. This one, for once, will be proof read/edited by KnightFlower. Mainly because he's the one given me the ideas and he asked me to write it for him. Didn't think I was that good at writing! If you want to add this to a group, can you please ask me first? Twilight doesn't know what to write for her weekly friendship letter. So she bugs ME about it. Lucky me. ~Spike

This was written to get me through a bout of writer's block. Hopefully it works.

EDIT: Should probably include a cover picture, huh? Oh, and mark it as complete.

A dragoness who has seen the world and its wonders. A dragoness who has been on countless adventures and has found dozens, if not hundreds of treasures thought to be nothing but myths. A dragoness who hides a dark secret that is tearing her up inside, is forced to face her guilt head on when she takes a trip to Equestria.
A baby dragon who was raised by ponies. A baby dragon who feels at odds with his own kind. A baby dragon who wonders why he lives as he does will soon get his answer when a stranger comes to town.
Now two souls brought together by fate will build a bond that has always existed through trials and tribulations neither could have predicted.

This story was inspired by three things. The first was the breakout hit, Ten Years Gone, by Some Other Guy, of which you may notice some slight similarities in the beginning. The second was a comment that made me wonder, "What if it wasn't a human coincidentally made to look like Spike?" And the third was me watching Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. The inspiration from that last one will become more apparent later in the story.
I hope you like this, I don't usually write fanfictions, after all.

Between Hallucinations and dreams, Spike's carnivorous dragon instincts start to arise and he tries to hide it from his friends. He is unsuccessful, as his will begins to falter.

Gore is for the first chapter but I doubt there will be any more.
