Twilight Velvet and Night Light have a night on the town with their family. Although, the small stamp of an 'Elder's Discount' sends Velvet into a spiral. When did they become the old ones? And are they next on the chopping block? Logic says so. And it terrifies Velvet.

It has been a decade since Twilight Sparkle was crowned sole Princess, and Equestria is at peace.

The Crystal Empire, not so much. King Sombra is apparently unkillable, despite all efforts. He returns several times a year to be destroyed, leaving behind his horn and always swearing vengeance. The jaded Crystal Ponies, some literally jade, have grown used to their tyrant attempting to return. Princess Cadance rules with her husband Shining Armor, while their daughter Flurry Heart excels in school. All is well.

All seems well, until Cadance begins to suspect that something is wrong with her daughter after the latest battle with Sombra. Flurry quite literally walks off a blast of concentrated dark magic. What Cadance discovers will shake her family to the core and upend everything she thought she knew about her daughter.

Flurry Heart is evil. If Cadance cannot save her daughter, she must stop her before it's too late.

Shady Fortune is an ambitious stallion. The old manor outside of town is an ancient eyesore. Where most ponies would see a tear-down job long-gone undone, Shady instead sees potential and beauty in the decrepit old house.

But he's not the only thing living in Buckwheat Manor, and Shady will soon learn that not all spirits remain at rest.

This is an entry into the Ancestral Tribute Competition!

Author's Note: I saw this competition but ended up joining too close to the deadline! Kind of how the theme of a three-day time limit is in the story, I myself had a similar thing where most of this fic was written in three days, separated into three parts which I wrote in what I estimate to be eight hours total. I don't think I did a superb job, but this was refreshing and I hope enjoyable!

Also, this is my first attempt writing comedy - ever!

On that note, I also attempted to write this fic like an episode of MLP, kinda - to an extent. I thought it'd be a nice way to guide the process.

Why Spoiled rich, when there are so many other interesting characters that qualify?

Well - if choosing from the best parent was going to be a painstaking process full of struggle as I couldn't possibly choose a small enough number to fit into the entry...

Why not try my luck with a...not-so "best" parent?

Realizing he left something in his bedroom, Eric Reed tries to get to his room in Princess Twilight Sparkle's castle as quickly as possible. He needs to get them out before Twilight sees them and does who-knows-what. Quite possibly to him.

However, Twilight's taken the role of an "Equestrian big sister" to Eric and he trusts her deeply, so Eric having something that he badly doesn't want one of the ponies he trusts the most to see is highly unusual. What saucy thing could the guy be keeping in that room that he doesn't want his "big sis" to see, and why is he so scared of what she'll do if she sees them?

This story takes place after my "A Giant Adventure to Equestria" story, but it's not required to read it to understand this story (and laugh) other than to learn the human OC Eric Reed's backstory, how and why he's in Equestria, and how his bonds with the other characters formed, including his brother-sister friendship with Twilight.
