Sometimes you really need a nice, big, juicy piece of meat to eat. Unfortunately, every creature around you has eyes larger than their heads and are friend shaped.

No animals were harmed in the making of this story, much to his dismay.

A goofy idea I spent an hour writing. Please enjoy.

Long ago, ponies stood alone in the face of evil. With no heroes to call upon, direr actions had to be taken. And thus, a gullible unicorn's aspirations for peace and justice led her into contact with forces beyond her meager understanding.

Ever since he was a foal, Light Flow had always known he was destined to be a villain—but not just any villain; no, he wanted to be a Necromancer.

He had always been obsessed with reading fiction stories about the forbidden practice of Necromancy, and much to his delight, his cutie mark spelled his unavoidable destiny as a member of his oh-so revered profession!

But Necromancy is extremely taboo, and very illegal. Equestria hadn't even seen a genuine Necromancer since the times of the fabled Nightmare Moon.

Substituting joy for dread, Light Flow knew that he would have to hide his especially special talent at any cost. Whether in his daily, mundane life as a bookish nerd, or in the heat of extreme danger.

Good thing he doesn't have any friends, right?

AN

I have deleted the old AN in favor of a new one.

Hello all! If you don't know me, then good! I'm a stranger, and it'd be weird if you knew who I am!

This is my first story, and basically my first experience writing something long-term. To that end, the beginning of the story is a bit rough, but I grew as a writer somewhat significantly as time went on, so it doesn't stay quite as bad!

The story itself has somewhat wavered from goal to goal as I argued with myself about what I wanted from it, though I eventually managed to settle. In its current state, it's mostly managed to stick to a strange blend of comedic tragedy interspersed sporadically with magical jargon and slice of life.

An added warning due to justified complaining: this experience can be very subdued. Not for the easily bored or angered. Personally, I tend to use Background Pony as a benchmark for a person's capability to withstand words.

Prepare yourself for lots of rants and barely coherent plot-threads! :pinkiecrazy:

Also i'm an idiot who probably tagged wrong.

Also i'm a bad person who stole a Jargon Scott image for the cover. (And then a wonderful person named Adin Terim edited it <3)

It has been a decade since Twilight Sparkle was crowned sole Princess, and Equestria is at peace.

The Crystal Empire, not so much. King Sombra is apparently unkillable, despite all efforts. He returns several times a year to be destroyed, leaving behind his horn and always swearing vengeance. The jaded Crystal Ponies, some literally jade, have grown used to their tyrant attempting to return. Princess Cadance rules with her husband Shining Armor, while their daughter Flurry Heart excels in school. All is well.

All seems well, until Cadance begins to suspect that something is wrong with her daughter after the latest battle with Sombra. Flurry quite literally walks off a blast of concentrated dark magic. What Cadance discovers will shake her family to the core and upend everything she thought she knew about her daughter.

Flurry Heart is evil. If Cadance cannot save her daughter, she must stop her before it's too late.

Princess Celestia is a living legend, but much of her life is shrouded in mystery. Records have long since been lost to the decay of time, and the tale of her triumph over Discord has become a fable. The Princess's memory of the event has long since faded... or has it?

Her faithful student lending an eager ear, Celestia recounts the true story of a war-torn Equestria, the struggle against Discord, and the early years of her own life.

Before she was the Princess of the Sun, she was merely a stranger.

This story is a sequel to The Stereotypical Necromancer

Hello there and welcome, my favorite and most dedicated readers, to my celebration of The Stereotypical Necromancer's two year anniversary! Two years ago today, I began writing my overlong and worn-out recollections of a pitiful colt's reoccurring traumas!

I've been deliberating on what the best way to celebrate would be for a few anticipatory months now, and as today drew nearer, I hit upon a neat little idea. An idea I'd already had a little while ago, that I had put in my pocket for a rainy day.

Today is that rainy day! Today, I'll be presenting some of the discarded drafts I saved in the process of writing chapter 40! You can't ever escape it: chapter 40 will haunt us all until we die! :pinkiecrazy:

Nowadays, each disparate part of chapter 40 has been individually named, so any newer readers probably won't quite understand the pain we all feel. Anyone that's been around for a while will remember how tedious it all was, though. And now, whether you suffered through it yourself or not, you'll get to relive that experience! Lucky you!

I'm more glad than anything that chapter 40 is over, but there was a lot of intriguing stuff I cut in the interest of time, ironically enough. Some of these drafts are over a year old, and I don't even remember what they're about. It's gonna be a long, mortifying trip down memory lane.

I'll have some of the more notable drafts in single chapters, while consolidating some of the more disparate scraps into a collection. I'll also be sharing my thoughts and opinions on the content and why I might have cut it in the AN. It'll be fun to share a little bit of the background process of writing with you!

The naming format for chapters should be obvious enough, but inside the chapters, the top paragraph will noticeably be entirely italicized. If present, these beginning paragraphs should mark the published instance of what preceded the cut, so you can ctrl+f and find where we're picking up from, if you want. For your convenience!

Now, some of these drafts may contain ideas that may eventually make their way to actual chapters, and in those cases, I won't censor them. This is the anniversary, and I think anyone who's dedicated enough to care and to read these drafts in the first place will deserve to get a sneak peek into some ideas for the future.

And finally, I just want to give an additional thanks to all of you who read my garbage. Writing is the main source of stress in my life, but I've never had anything give me such a sense of profound purpose before. Seeing how others receive my works is my greatest source of joy in life, and I don't know what I'd do if I weren't writing.

Whether you've been here for a year or a day, you truly mean the world to me.

Let's look at some drafts.

"We could get arrested for this."

Trixie rolled her eyes at her, the lavender glow of her magic the only thing illuminating their surroundings.

"Like the great and powerful Trixie would be afraid of the guard, Twilight." She huffed.

This was a no-good-very-bad idea, Twilight decided right then and there. She raised a hoof to catch the magician's attention-

And was interrupted.

Twilight Sparkle is many things, Hero, Genius, Element of Magic, Princess of Friendship.

But despite her remarkable achievements, she has never been honored with a statue of her own. Luckily things are about change. Twilight has been invited to the unveiling of a statue made in her image.

One slight issue.

It's absolutely terrible.
