After the invasion of Canterlot failed, the Changelings were given a strict rule by their Queen. No Changeling was ever, EVER, allowed to speak of that failure for as long as they lived, neither were they allowed to utter the name of the princess who defeated their Queen, lest they pay the penalty of Death.

One Changeling accidentally lets slip the name of the princess during a meal, and immediately Queen Chrysalis sentences him to die by stoning.

His execution doesn't go the way she had in mind, though...

This story based and inspired by one of my favorite scenes from Monty Python: Life of Brian.

A month has gone by since Trixie agreed to become Twilight's obsession in exchange for her immortality. Since then the two have been troubled by more than mere nightmares. Not too long ago Twilight forgave Trixie once before, but can she now forgive herself for speaking her true feelings aloud, or will the sun continue to cast an eclipse over her eyes?

Indeed a goddess can possess an immortal body, but what can be said of her heart? The very organ still aches, hurts no matter how heavenly its host maybe. Does that mean the heart will cause the body to wither if not cared for, the same as any other mortal?

Trixie awakes in another's bed, the owner tells her that she's already suffered a cruel fate and will suffer another far worse if she doesn't accept the "full" extent of her affection here and now.

Days after Tirek's near-takeover of Equestria, The Great And Powerful Trixie travels to Ponyville, intent on settling her rivalry with Twilight Sparkle once and for all. No trinkets to fudge her abilities, no megalomania to apologize for -- just pure and simple magician's honor!

Upon her arrival, however, she quickly learns that the information she has on Ponyville -- and Twilight -- is more than a little dated.

Said visitor turns out to be none other than Spike, the dragon that has been infatuated with Rarity for years now. Years have passed since Octavia Philharmonica and Vinyl Scratch first met on the platforms of Canterlot Station. In the short time that they spent together, they became the best of friends. Then they separated, both of them returning to their homes, meeting one another with less and less frequency as time went on. Within a few years, they had only memories of each other, impressions of the fillies that they used to be.

And then they met again, in the hallways of the Canterlot Conservatory.
