Set after the Season 7 finale. Spike keeps thinking back to that time when Rainbow Dash saved Spike from Garble when he won that race. And he's been thinking that Rainbow Dash's the better special somepony than Rarity.

Rarity doesn't know what to be for Nightmare Night, so Spike gets a witch costume, hoping that Rarity would love him for that.

Spike the Dragon has always loved Rarity, from the moment they met. At the time, he didn't know much about what love meant, but as he grew, so too did his understanding. And every day, he found he was still in love with her, if not always for the same reasons.

Rarity has taken a long time to love Spike. It took so long to see him as anything but a child, then somehow longer to see him as more than a friend with an unrequited crush. Every day, she wakes up and finds that it takes her a moment to remember that she is in love.

So, how do such things end? They end the same way things always do with dragons. A great roar, and then an even greater silence.

Starlight Glimmer has jumped right into friendship lessons under Twilight head on. Even while making a few mistakes along the way as much as her mentor did this those first early days of learning and growing.

Still Twilight not only trains her in Friendship but also on the area Starlight seems to exhale: Magic! In tow of the lessons, Twilight gives her changes to solve and with a party coming up, Pinkie Pie asked Glimmer for some help for a young filly's birthday and Starlight jumps right in to help a friend in need!

Yet there is an unseen problem, Starlight is losing control of her magic at odd moments and pushes away the thoughts of why in trying to please her teacher and friends! Which under keen eyes of Spike, notes his new friend is having problems and takes it upon himself to reach out a claw and help the unicorn to find her magic again after something goes wrong!

This story takes place some time after the "Gauntlet of fire" episode, just an idea that crossed my mind afte re-watching it, and is going to be about one of my favourite ships: spikebloom!
Also, this is my first ever fanfic, so, please be patient if I don't have a perfect orthography or if I don't know how to keep the story " in the mood", Constructive criticism is requested

Meant to be fluffy, harmless and totally fictional, no offenses to other Spike/Apple Bloom ships and just meant to be an average story in general.

Spike confesses his love to Rarity only to be rejected. Hurt, he goes to every and anypony whom he thinks can help him change to become somepony that could win her heart. But when they all say the same thing, it'll be up to the Cutie Mark Crusaders help him find love with Rarity. Or will she have her own plans for the young dragon?

Pumpkin Cake losses the Spike plushie she got from the Crystal Empire, while looking for a replacement Spike walks in, She then proceeds to follow him around for the rest of the day.

This takes place a little way into the future so Pumpkin is around the age the CMC is in the show.
