This story is a sequel to Mistakes We Make

The mirror showed a reflection, sure, but it was almost like looking at… a stranger.

Applejack struggles with an identity issue and finds solace in someone close. Although, things don't go quite as expected when the truth is revealed. Everything is fine, though. It has to be. Does it really count as lying if it’s to yourself?

When Sunset started imagining her and Twilight together? That was weird. They were friends! Best friends! Friends who saved the world from evil magic creatures and who danced together and teased each other and…

“Oh boy,” Sunset muttered out loud.

Written originally as part of Quills and Sofas’ B Contest (B is for Bisexual!) and expanded to this (the original version was only 500 something words :O). The prompt used was “The colour of the sky”. Thanks to everyone there who preread the original version during the contest!

Chapters (1)

Thanks to a somewhat unconventional and definitely unprecedented intervention from Princess Twilight herself, an unexpected change in Cheerilee’s schedule allows her to make a new friend. After a somewhat awkward (and drunken) encounter, though, Cheerilee finds herself alone once more. The lonely heart inside her chest longs for the friendship she had formed with Tempest. And maybe... something else?

Written for Nailah’s Shipping Contest. I was assigned Tempest Shadow and Cheerilee, and this spawned. It was also originally concepted during the Quills and Sofa’s Speedwriting Cheerilee Contest where the prompt was “Patience”.

Deep underground under the farmland of Sweet Apple Acres lives a familiar group of ponies. Anypony could tell you who these citizens were; most of them were once citizens of towns all over Equestria. Ponyvillians, Cloudsdale pegasi, Canterlot citizens. They were the lucky ones. After something went wrong that caused Princess Twilight of Ponyville to snap, the ponies who made it out unscathed needed a leader.

Rainbow Dash never thought of herself as a humble pony. She knew she was awesome, and she knew that everypony else needed to know.  That's why when Twilight Sparkle was "corrupted", as Starlight Glimmer would say, the cyan pegasus not only led but started the group that hoped to bring Twilight down. Nopony really knew what happened to Twilight. As far as everypony knew, her very mind was destroyed by her own magic.

How different are things? Can they stop Twilight? Will anything ever be the same again? It’s only a time until the dark takes over...

Originally written during NaNoWriMo of 2020 and edited a bit, this specific story does NOT include the School of Friendship in its canon and happens before Twilight’s coronation. Most of seasons 8 and 9 are not canon to this story.

“There’s no snow. That means that Twi’s magic invention worked.”

Written for the Quills and Sofas Speedwriting’s Expanded Universe contest (where I kind of misunderstood what we had to do). This is a sequel to Decaf’s The Last Wrap Up. I recommend reading it beforehand if you haven’t already.

Aerodynamics is just the perfect subject for an injured pegasus to learn; that’s why Lightning Dust was doing it. Despite herself, she’s still got a long way to go before she becomes a good pony. At least Fiddlesticks is there to support her.

A short story written for a monthly writing club hosted by my friend Krickis ^^. Had a soft 1k word limit, and I planned to expand on it, but I decided to leave it as is.
