Spike still wonders about his past, about where he came from and who his parents might be. Determined to get some answers, he decides to visit the one pony who can help him: Princess Celestia.
Flying to Canterlot on his own power, Spike attempts to get answers from Princess Celestia. But Twilight and all of Spike's friends catch up to him before then, worried about his abrupt departure from Ponyville.
Princess Celestia, however, decides that the time has come to share the truth about Spike's past. The truth will leave everyone shocked and saddened.

Aww. Thanks very much for sharing this. A beautifully bittersweet story on how Spike's egg ended up in Celestia's care (including how Celestia came to know Spike's real mother) as well as Twilight's early days taking care of Spike. The wrap-up to this one-shot was also quite well done.
