I wrote some stories for you. I hope you enjoy them.

Wings, Magic, and Friendship combine to rule the skies.

Against impossible odds and armed only with skill, wit, and faith in each other, these two little ponies will honor their duty to defend the kingdom against a relentless enemy. Together, the fastest flyer in Equestria and the most powerful unicorn of her generation will show the world the meaning of Equestrian air superiority.

Rainbow Dash once bragged that she could clear the sky in ten seconds flat, but this time she's clearing out more than just clouds.

Author's notes.

Yes, Rainbow Dash's position in the image is something I specifically asked for.

Alternate title: Twilight and Dash Do It oppan Gundam style.

I didn't actually mean to make the "faith in my friends" angle as sappy as it is... I think I can blame that on the fact that I just finished playing To the Moon and was listening to the soundtrack while writing this.

It fits, though. The title is a bit of a Gundam reference, and Gundam has all the soap opera shit in it, so there's soap opera shit in here too.

I'll admit, I went into this expecting something excessively sappy and insufficiently ass-kickey.

Instead, I found a fic that actually thought out how an aerial engagement would work and what would be required for two ponies to pull off such a ridiculous feat. This was a seriously well written fic. Good work!

Another alternate title:

Lavender Unicorn Mobile Weapons Platform.

cute check
funny check
lol cover check

well, as always, nicely done

Ah, Tactical.
I'm not even gonna carp on minor glitches. I'm grinning too hard.
SO. AWESOME. :rainbowkiss:

You know what? I was just thinking that I wanted you to see this. As this idea progressed, I realized that I was writing craziness like "Strafe the deck!" expressly because Dashie herself would approve.

I have been staring and STARING at that gif and I don't get it. Is the art style a parody of something?

I think it's my first image macro comment that wasn't just trolling me, though. So, yay!

I almost want to upvote this on concept alone. It looks so awesome and adorable. I can't wait to read it! :yay:

If I remember correctly, the artist of the gif (rizcifra on the Dev and Tumblr) is doing an animation in their style revolving around Twilight. I don't remember what the synopsis was but yeah...their work is Pretty awesome:rainbowkiss:

That image is truly the bringer of fear to all who are unfortunate to cross their path.:rainbowlaugh:

Also, I never did make it completely through a series of Gundam, though I do know what you'd mean by drama. I think one series had it so the love interest was impersonated and the other one was a relative (whichever one had Kagali and such I think their name was).

ps. Will read:twilightsheepish:

1. This is epic.
2. "Tango Sierra". Har har.
3. This is epic.
4. Have some totally over-the-top-(for-this-sortie) Flight-and-Fight music: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZ6ABV_Q9qU
5. This is epic.

1342593 i believe it is a reworking of the "this is relevant to my interests" GIF

Well that was cool!

That's all I can really say. Fantastic, fantastic job.

Lol sorry I posted the number wrong the first time. Changed it.

I have no idea what I just read. It was amazing, whatever it was.

Oh dear, that opening. When you showed us the cover art, I expected no less from you, heehee. "Get some!" :rainbowdetermined2:

I was a little worried that the hospital scene was dragging the story out too long, but the conversation at the end was cute, so all is forgiven.

Check your link; I think you got the URL wrong somehow.

THIS is what you wanted to link.

TACTICAL....... MY NINJA! You never fail in your ability to entertain....this was an awesome ride and we need more like this........you.....I.....I love you man!

Holy crap, this was really awesome!

I enjoy fics in which Twi flys on/with Dashie and Fimfic has tons of such stories and this one kicked ass!

And then you included some sweet sweets like the smell and feel of Twi or the kiss on her neck, etc. Well done, really well done. Liked and fave'd.

That was totally AWESOME! :pinkiehappy:

I came here because of an interesting cover art. It seemed like we're about to have an interesting battle featuring TwiDash Gunship :rainbowkiss::twilightsmile:
I like the idea of a goat attack :rainbowlaugh:

Totally amazing story. So gripping! :rainbowderp:

Like and fav totally deserved!

Damn it, I'm a freaking moron. Why, WHY?! Did I wait this long to read this amazing story?! I put this in my read later list almost as soon as it was published yet I didn't read it until now. :facehoof:

Well, better late than never right? :twilightblush:

This story was fucking awesome. :rainbowdetermined2:

Wow, you explored aerial combat and threw in a good backstory.

I guess air-to-air magic missiles weren't invented yet. Guided ones anyway. :rainbowlaugh:

Silver out!

While some of my earlier points still stand, you've done a damn good job on improving this. Damn good job.

I'm not even completely certain what I did in order to address your edits, though I surely didn't do much of a job justifying the war. I should go back and find out.

Just yesterday I was explaining the creative differences I had between myself and some of the people who've edited this, and what I came up with was "it's like one level out of a dogfighting game, completely out of context." I think I like that.

I will say that I spent quite a bit of time coming back to this, repeatedly deleting tiny pieces to improve flow and things like that.

Sorry it took so long to reply bud. Was a tad occupied.

At any rate, the issues I felt needed fixing in this story are there still there. However, they were things I felt could be improved upon. I never said they made the story bad per say, just shallow. Really, all you are lacking is substance to really make the world you show deep.

What I forget however, is that you didn't write this story in order to be deep or to build a world from scratch, but more to just tell a single story, and often, doing just that proves to be the more effective course of action. In that regard, you've succeeded far more than I've ever managed myself.

If you ever want to really make this tale deep and grand, however, I would be more than happy to aid you. Otherwise, you've done good.

As a side note:

Damn you and beating me on the Shadowrun-inspired story :twilightangry2:
It's damn good too, you brilliant cabrón :pinkiehappy:

Well, this was certainly interesting. Have a like.
