Blueblood went to Count of Monte Cristo, but I was thinking of Shawshank Redemption. May Celestia be merciful to those who are merely citizens and not leaders.

The three of us waited near the door for what felt like hours but what was probably only several minutes. Soon, Shadow returned, coming out of the ground surrounded by a slight mist. “I didn’t see any eutherians in the Umbral anywhere,” he said, sounding confused.

Huh...yeah, I’d say he’s right to be confused. Even if no one’s looking for specifically them yet, in a city of eutherians one would expect a fair bit of Umbral travel just for the sake of convenience -- so, do these bats not actually know how to access it (which would be more than just a little weird), would doing so violate some kind of religious or cultural taboo (perhaps a bit more likely given that their heads don’t seem to be screwed on quite straight anyway), or...do they know something that Shadow doesn’t and stay out of at least the local Umbra for some legitimately good reason or other?

I’m not afraid to say I don’t recall how we ended up in the situation since it’s been so long since my last read but I am happy to see it again, hoping to see more soon!

Does this mean we will read sex soon? At this rate, the canon might as well be lost with all these differences. Not to mention that all the creatures in this world r anthropomorphic. Discord is as in the genderbended version of Discord? Update soon.
