Peridork

Sometimes you lose yourself in your own narcissism. That's when you find out you might be the bad guy.

Well, I laughed at several points.

Interesting dnynamic these two share. I think you covered it rather well, even if they did have a rather horny start to such a relationship (esp for non unicorns :twilightoops: )

Yeah, I could read more of this tale.

Does Posey not have a tag yet? She's like the only major side character from gen 5.

11287045

I checked for a whole month lol. No Posey tag which I was majorly disappointed about since she was the best part of the special lol.

This is literally me and my toxic as fuck ex. Let’s hope their go about ends better than ours lmao

I love just how insane you made these two (and Phyllis).

They will either be driven from town for inciting more mobs, or actualy turn ito decent ponies.

Not sure which is scarier, honestly.

11287084

Lol I joked to myself that I had to writing a toxic relationship. Yeah, from what I have planned it gets less toxic. Or at least they have some things to agree on. Still there's going to be some probably messed up stuff in it but it does slightly mellow out. Have to write the "oh no your mom found out" chapter.

Literally the first time we had sex it was a handjob in a city bus.
Compared to us they'll be fine.
He literally blew me in front of his fucking dad.
I miss the absolute insanity of that shit but I'm so glad I cut him off

11287096
oh but if you want advice DM me. I can give an insider perspective

11287161
Interesting offer- might have to take you up on that just to make sure I'm not out of pocket or making stuff up. Cause I have some idea and experience of toxic relationships, but I never had personal experience to that extent. More the emotional kind, Think I might have to DM you soonish just to make sure. Not tonight lol, it's like 2am where I am and need sleep since I wrote most of this chapter in like a week.

"Had one. Have to order new stuff for it from Bridlewood because it really wasn't made for angry earth ponies with magic in mind. Magical hoofcuffs are on the top of the list after she tried to show me a really neat trick of breaking the old cuffs in sheer anger and breaking the table in half. And then she kept stomping on the pieces. Honestly think she broke the concrete too. Hard to tell since I kind of booked it once she started asking for the manager." Hitch sighed. "I am the manager in that situation."

Karen alert

I mean the special wrote her like she was exactly like that lol. Why I shipped these two idiots together was because I played the G5 game and it retells the special but Sprout is the bad guy. I thought 'well if someone thinks they are interchangeable, they are probably 'perfect' for one another. Even if that perfection is some shade of toxic mess.

I'm half way done reading this and while I haven't watched MYM yet, I am finding this to be enjoyable! I love character deep dives like this if for the fact they don't change over night, and we get to be there when that moment of realization hits them.

Do whatever you're smoking I want some of it because apparently it turns you into a great storyteller can't wait for chapter 2

11294917
I have an update planned for another story to get done first, but I'm not letting this die. I like these two too much to not write more chapters.

And you manage to find a way to make even psycho fascista Posey sympathetic.

11332318

Lol the whole "make Posey actually have a likeable character arc in any way" was one of the main reasons why I rewrote half of the second chapter and spent like four hours editing this and rechecking if the first half had any sentences or scenes that conflicted tonally with Posey's backstory I came up with. It was a complete nightmare, but I think I liked how it turned out. At least the last scene, to me at least, felt really good.

I'm actually really happy that worked in some way.

Chapter 3 has these two idiots start actually trying to make friends with others. Cause chapter two was the one that I knew was going to be a downer. Had to provide a crack in the Posey armor so Sunny's magical lessons of friendship (and interactions with the Mane 5 in general) can happen.

I was planning on this being a 3 chapter story, after I started writing Phyllis, I realized that whole simple idea was out. I like these two idiots a ton and I'm not going to stop writing these two until its done. And I have a general idea as to how that works out for the both of them.

Well, that was a wild ride. I think I'm left liking Sprout a bit more and Posey is coming across as quite the wild mess.
I quite like the picture you painted of Sprout's room. Although it feels like he's going to need to leave that all behind real soon... Although he could take the Pizza in the fridge with him.

Phyllis was angrily drinking her water and coughed as that sentence came out of nowhere and smacked her upside the face. "What?

Lol. There's some great lines in there. Phyllis ... poor controlling Phyllis ... Shes going to be in for even more shocks in future.

My God. You managed to make those two train wrecks adorable.

11362457

I ship these two hard, so of course an attempt continues to be made lol.

While I'm sure Izzy would have some level of knowledge of what's wrong and right. The whole episode in the store started out as looking like one thing...and became outright chaos with the two mares running for it. It certainly escalated quickly. I'm sure Sunny is going to have some very serious words with her marefriend coming up.
So Picking Izzy as the mare to help out was both hilarious and a real bad idea. And yet... totally worked while introducing another couple to the story in a funny, funny way.
Poor Hitch, lol.

Moving into Posey's place sure has yielded some interesting results. And sounds like Sprout is growing up without his overbearing mother managing his every move. So that's good.
And Posey is developing too. While shes still like a rougher side to her stallion in a lot of ways (and probably the boss in their relationship) I can see that shes growing and developing too.

11287048
hi
You probably wrote a good fan fiction, but specify the author of the art that you use for the cover :duck:

I really loved it, I had so much fun reading it ❤️❤️ great work!! And I hope there's more stories like this

That started off well but oh boy... it got darker at a certain point and poor Sprout almost got wrecked. I didn't see that coming. The delivery of the scene was feeling almost comic too. Like you didn't want to go full on dark, but what was happening, was never the less, happening against Sprout's consent.
I know Posey is pregnant and all, but I hope she steps up in the wake of this. Sprout is bound to be feeling damaged after his encounter. I feel like the ass kicking Posey dished out was merited and personally, I would not award her with any extra community service for defending her significant other. Especially against fucktards like that.

It was quite a change up to return to the regularly scheduled chapter with the undercurrent of dealing with some emotional aftermath.
The last part was fun and Pipp and Hitch sound like they are in for a fun setup.

So all up... Certainly, a gripping chapter that kept me reading. and I do want to see more.
But yeah.. that went places I wasn't expecting. This story just got hole lot deeper.

This story is both hilarious and dark depending on a scene. And it's good at both.

Phyllis stared at the chairs the two earth ponies had sat in, now empty, and she grimaced. She would have to spend a fair bit of money to get the blood out of the cloth seats. A pity. A horrible thought crossed her mind. That of Posey Bloom, the halfbreed. She had protected her Sprout from further harm. Violently. It was almost admirable. Almost. Phyllis stared at the few teeth on her desk and sighed. It was a dirty business, that of re-education. Broken ponies getting their brains shocked to mush while Canterlogic propaganda was shoved into their malleable skulls. She really should have killed them but it would have been too merciful.

Is Mrs. Cloverleaf lex luthor? He's out here being the menace.

11558276

I mean with how I keep writing Sprout’s mom, she’s kind of her own little super villain. But no I didn’t take any explicit comic references in mind. While I am a massive comic fan, I had zero thoughts of anything like that. Just me watching the g5 movie and thing that she’s running a patently evil business and, barring ancient alicorns, is probably the most evil one there. I mean Canterlogic had enough resources for Sprout to build a war mech and it worked well enough to be dangerous.

Her being blatantly evil is just me turning up her personality to eleven or or twelve on a ten point scale.

11558358
I love it!. Only problem I would have is saying that electro sock therapy would not change personality. It's more of a pain compliance type situation. As soon as the person gets past the pain there's this if they'll comply and how long they will. Plus you this now pissed off two very seemingly evil psychopaths that still has all the money you gave them. And I think the brainwashing is hit and miss. It seems to work on some people but fails to utterly work on others.

11558388

Yeah I figured as much, this version of Canterlogic uses that as a last resort and it usually works. Now if Sprout meets them again, I doubt his mom’s efforts to “fix” anything will do anything.

Kind of the whole point of how I’m writing her whole character- she is doing a very fine balancing act and slowly failing since sunny, her friends, and posey made Maretime Bay a less awful place

Well, this chapter has some highly contrasting happenings...
One one side, Pipp. Thanks to her addiction to her phone and online life that went a hole lot further than I thought it would in a short space of time.
I wonder how long it will take till Hitch starts getting comments around town.
I can see that continuing to get wild.

Then there's Sprout. While he's going through an understandably rough time it's good to see he's on the road to recovery.
Although now his body will also need a bit of that recovery after sexperiencing his marefriends stash of ...toys.

Phyllis ... well. She continues to be both pretty dark while caring for her son. LOL gift basket was a generic send with a not so generic note... Glad Posey got to that first...

This mix of dark, humour and some pretty wild antics continues to roll along well.

11558388
ECT does work for a few things, but you're right that their special brand of evil isn't one of them typically.

That said, I suspect that Phyllis will be a far more effective deterrent to any future bad behavior.

And, y'know, I'm sure she has some budding little Walter Freeman on staff who'd be willing to test new procedures.

I certainly wasn't expecting this new subplot, but I'm glad to see it being handled well.

Well, this has been a blast of a chapter.
And funny enough, the biggest laugh I had was thanks to Haven accidentally dropping a relationship bomb on Pipp. Although Izzy making coffee was also an outstanding moment in the chapter.
Lots of serious things going on and the few good solid laughs to be had balance the chapter out nicely. Cause oh boy... this goes from one kind of crazy to another.
While I woulda liked to see a bit more on them subduing the robot, it was a stand out section of the chapter.
And I suspect that Posey is going to be getting plenty of help from Sprout getting out of her outfit soon enough. Judging by the ending, I'm not even sure if they make it off that bench once others are gone.

I'm surprised we don't have more stories pairing Sprout and Posey since both of them have a lot in common. That aside this has been a nice and enjoyable story thus far and I'm looking forward to the next update.:pinkiehappy:

11665602

Thank you, and I know. I blame me playing the G5 videogame and realizing it had a suspiciously similar plot to the first episode of G5 where Posey was the bad guy. Once I realized the possibility of them dealing with similar emotions and problems, the story just kind of goes from there. Wish there were more stories of these two cause they can just play off so well with each other.

That was surprisingly deep and cute. More please.

Wasn't expecting Sprout and Posey to tie the knot but with a foal on the way marriage was bound to come up eventually. Can't wait to see how Sunny and company react to this news.:pinkiehappy:

Looks like Phyillis is in hot water for having built yet another giant robot of doom, and given how it appears she's been keeping Cantorlogic afloat through illegitimate means that'll just be the beginning of her troubles.

11803926

Been planning that for a while now. It just didn’t fit in the coming chapters and the idea that Phyllis finds out the two of them pretty much eloped gives me some ideas for later.

This is the least action-y chapter I’ve written in a while with these two cause I thought having a nice little intermission between what came before and the general plan for later cause I really pan for stuff to get messy.

I laughed or sniggered at all the jokes mixed in with the drama. There were some good un's in here..
Sad to see Hitch didn't even get invited to his friend's wedding...
Ah well, I guess that's just going to add to the list of surprises for everpony back home soon aye. Still, I didn't expect them to pull a surprise wedding while away from everypony.

"and what could have beens."
LOL. Like they arent already the most active in their age group...

I enjoyed this chapter. It felt like it ended too soon, I want more.

Good chapter.
Great cliffhanger.

I enjoyed the cuteness while it lasted.
I can see things getting pretty crazy from here.
Sprout is duty bound to rescue his mare. I got a good laugh out of Poseys continual chatter of how amazingly Sprout is loaded while preemptively shooting down other mares getting close to talking about their own stallions.

Oof, the beginning of this chapter was pretty dark. The town being in shambles, the riot at Canterlogic and their guards shooting at the rioters, and finally the fact that poor Windy had to get one of her wings amputated and replaced with a prosthetic on top of being traumatized. At least she's got Primrose to help her and comfort her, btw points for coming up with an original ship I've never seen done before.:pinkiehappy: Posey helping Jazz woo Rocky by kidnapping him and then singing to him in private is right up this stories' ally when it comes to crazy shenanigans!:rainbowlaugh: Of course things went sideways and now Sprout has to save his mare and Jazz while also trying pry control of Canterlogic and the town from his dictatorial mother's iron grip.

God, you know I really like the story. I have to say that I really enjoy sprout and Posey the way you’ve imagined.. and Haven is a lot of fun too

11862107
Thank you.

Oh I like writing Sprout and Posey a ton. I have ideas for more of the pair in other stories that are more silly than this one. But yeah they are pretty much my favorite G5 ship. They are just so fun to write. Sure there have been moments that made me go "oh boy this is a bit much" but I always come back to the idea that the both of them find comfort in one another. No matter what. A definite stand against the world mentality that just works for them. If something serious happens, they are there supporting one another. If something ridiculously silly happens, they are there just teasing one another or finding the fun in it. Or in Posey's case, probably blaming Izzy for showing Sprout some magical shenanigans.

Posey may be a bad pony at times but she does actually care for others- she's just bad at showing it if a pony isn't named Sprout.

And Haven is probably the easiest character to write for me. Haven't used her much but whenever I do it just flows right onto the page.
