Posey has to perform community service to make up for her crimes. Sprout has to watch her. Only problem is that Posey secretly has a crush on the dopey stallion.
Phyllis stared at the chairs the two earth ponies had sat in, now empty, and she grimaced. She would have to spend a fair bit of money to get the blood out of the cloth seats. A pity. A horrible thought crossed her mind. That of Posey Bloom, the halfbreed. She had protected her Sprout from further harm. Violently. It was almost admirable. Almost. Phyllis stared at the few teeth on her desk and sighed. It was a dirty business, that of re-education. Broken ponies getting their brains shocked to mush while Canterlogic propaganda was shoved into their malleable skulls. She really should have killed them but it would have been too merciful.
Is Mrs. Cloverleaf lex luthor? He's out here being the menace.
I mean with how I keep writing Sprout’s mom, she’s kind of her own little super villain. But no I didn’t take any explicit comic references in mind. While I am a massive comic fan, I had zero thoughts of anything like that. Just me watching the g5 movie and thing that she’s running a patently evil business and, barring ancient alicorns, is probably the most evil one there. I mean Canterlogic had enough resources for Sprout to build a war mech and it worked well enough to be dangerous.
Her being blatantly evil is just me turning up her personality to eleven or or twelve on a ten point scale.
11558358 I love it!. Only problem I would have is saying that electro sock therapy would not change personality. It's more of a pain compliance type situation. As soon as the person gets past the pain there's this if they'll comply and how long they will. Plus you this now pissed off two very seemingly evil psychopaths that still has all the money you gave them. And I think the brainwashing is hit and miss. It seems to work on some people but fails to utterly work on others.
Yeah I figured as much, this version of Canterlogic uses that as a last resort and it usually works. Now if Sprout meets them again, I doubt his mom’s efforts to “fix” anything will do anything.
Kind of the whole point of how I’m writing her whole character- she is doing a very fine balancing act and slowly failing since sunny, her friends, and posey made Maretime Bay a less awful place
Well, this chapter has some highly contrasting happenings... One one side, Pipp. Thanks to her addiction to her phone and online life that went a hole lot further than I thought it would in a short space of time. I wonder how long it will take till Hitch starts getting comments around town. I can see that continuing to get wild.
Then there's Sprout. While he's going through an understandably rough time it's good to see he's on the road to recovery. Although now his body will also need a bit of that recovery after sexperiencing his marefriends stash of ...toys.
Phyllis ... well. She continues to be both pretty dark while caring for her son. LOL gift basket was a generic send with a not so generic note... Glad Posey got to that first...
This mix of dark, humour and some pretty wild antics continues to roll along well.

ECT does work for a few things, but you're right that their special brand of evil isn't one of them typically.
That said, I suspect that Phyllis will be a far more effective deterrent to any future bad behavior.
And, y'know, I'm sure she has some budding little Walter Freeman on staff who'd be willing to test new procedures.
I certainly wasn't expecting this new subplot, but I'm glad to see it being handled well.
