For Twilight Sparkle, the world was a very empty place. While her family helped her bear with it, there was only so much they could do for her. Combine that with Crystal Prep's toxic atmosphere, and it was a small miracle that she hadn't done something drastic a long time ago. As the void surrounding the poor girl continued to grow, that possibility became more and more likely. At least, until the day she found a strange black crystal near the remains of Canter Creek Bridge. Twilight's life was now about to make a drastic change, but would it be for the better, or the absolute worst?

Ouch I hope Sunset will realize that Sci-Twi is being manipulated before it goes to far. Then again I think the Friendship Games is going to go in a very different direction and hopefully Lily will finally be dealt with.

Wild out of nowhere guess that's probably wrong; the girl trapped in the crystal was everything Lily didn't want of herself, all the nice/good bits, and some mean stuff got forced in on her death.

Personally no matter the version I always felt earth twilight was foolish to mess with something without learning more about it first. Plus she was totally let off the hook despite her almost killing someone because she cried when she was scolded. She was supposed to be a scientist but she forgot to observe the energy to see if affected the world in any way.

Yeah, I never got the impression that the other three were all that bad, just judging by their debut scene on the bus, so it's clear that whatever Twilight thinks of the rest of her fellow Elites is based on how Soursweet and Sunny Flare treat her. Just based on their pony counterparts, Trenderhoof wouldn't be so bad, while Jet Set might be a problem.
But for Twilight's sake, I hope the three girls can aid in Petal's efforts

That whole entire time Twilight was saying that it leads do not like each other and are willing to get ahead, and yet there was sugar coat hanging out with two people that aren't even close to the top five. It looks like Twilight needs to learn more not to judge people based on how other people treat her and especially their status, something that looks like it's about to happen to her right now.
I really like this interpretation of Sugar. There just aren't enough stories that really explore the full potential of an "indoors-y Applejack analogue".

I see Petal has accidentally unlocked how to be a symbiote rather than a Parasite. It'll be interesting to see what happens when she finally manages to physically materialize, but right now the EoH would do absolutely nothing to her in my AU as she's figured out Harmony.
