Definitely not slugs, any of them. Nearby, Auntie Twilight was looking on and seemed at least as perturbed as Flurry. Auntie Twilight was also not a slug.

“You get one more,” Flurry told her parents. The stork thing had been insulting enough, but this?

“No, honest!” Shining Armor exclaimed. “That’s how foals are made.”

“That’s not even how slugs are made!” Twilight exploded, wings flaring wide. “Yes, they have both male and female sex organs but only one impregnates the other at a time! It isn’t mutual! And you left out the penis jousting!”

“The what?” Flurry demanded.

“We didn’t ‘leave anything out’, this way is more romantic,” Cadance insisted.

“It was factually inaccurate!”

“Oh for the love of...” Flurry’s horn glowed gold, and she teleported to her favorite uncle’s home. “Uncle Thorax, where do babies come from?”

Thorax wasn’t in, but Uncle Pharynx was and took her appearance in stride. “Sex. Male penis goes in female vagina. Sperm from the male fertilizes the egg in the female. Female gets pregnant. For ponies it takes eleven months, then the female foals.”

“Ew. Promise?”

“I don’t lie, kid.”

“Thank you.”

“No problem. Get out.”

“Gone.”

Actually, this is decently accurate to how Leopard Slugs mate. Mostly by virtue of being almost word for word ripped from a BBC documentary on the subject in places.
