Well, I guess I didn't want people to think the stories were connected. Now, I'm not sure how I'd do it since an author isn't supposed to repost works that have already been published. Any thoughts?

There's a precedent for that kind of thing being allowed. The blog post explaining the situation has since been deleted, but this story originally had all of its chapters as separate stories but then the author squashed it all into one anthology story, and I believe he'd consulted with the mods beforehand. So, I'd probably ask ahead of time just to be sure, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was totally fine for you to do the same thing here. It's not like you'd be posting a second copy of it or anything, just changing the format, is the way I'd see it.
