There is nothing as liberating, or terrifying, as a blank page.

Applejack has a dark secret she keeps from her friends and family. Something for which she seeks redemption everyday of her life. What could it be?

Ugh... :applecry:

... wait... is "Twilight" and "Applejack" a changeling?

Maybe I should have made it clearer. The changeling took on the form of Twilight to comfort a dying Applejack. She then became Applejack to fulfill her promise.

Poignant and chilling. Good work. But where did this spy came from, what the purpose was of watching the Mane 6, and how exactly did her actions lead to the real Applejack's death? Lots of unanswered questions in this one.

She had been sent to Ponyville to spy on the Elements of Harmony. Her mission was to conduct surveillance on the ponies, to learn their secrets and gather useful intelligence for the next invasion. She wasn’t supposed to be seen, much less interact.

Wow. That was a great story, worth the read.

Thanks for the feedback. Darker than the other stories in The Secret Life of..., but the next one I'm working on is Discord. So....

I like stories like this, where there is a very chilly twist to it. For how you wrote it, it felt like it was the right length. I also enjoyed the descriptions you made about Applejack pulling the cart down the hill and up the gully, and the part about the water. For some reason reading the waterpark made me think of it in SloMo .

Altogether, I really liked it.

Very few of my stories are dark like this, but most of my stories feature some sort of twist ending.

Then I shall endeavor to find time to read more

Before I read this, what is the Dark tag for ?
And how bad does it get ?

I don't want to give too much away, but let me just point out there's no gore tag. It's really more of a sad story than anything else.

Let me know what you think about the story when you read it.

Right in the feels

This is a powerful story. I think you covered the darker emotions very well.

I've started reading a fic similar to this, The Irony Of Applejack , and I find both amazing! But I wouldn't expect less from Fimfiction.

I was going for sad.
