Interesting story. The beginning kinda hinted that Maud was the cause by citing at every villain file of something rock related.
Night Moon being on the Moon and all, Discord encased in stoned. Chrysalis trapping Cadamce in a crystal cave. Tirek escaping from his underground prison. Even the Storm King. Though I couldn't see any rocky connection for Cozy
