I saw thinking about that, I sort of twisted version season eight, where Cozy Glow tricks Spike by making him fall in love with her. So not only can she get inside The School of Friendship, but she has Twilight Sparkle's most trusted friend to get her out of any trouble. So, long as Spike believes that Cozy Glow still loves him. She can still use him.
Or a different way is that Cozy Glow is just downright crazy in love with Spike. Almost always tricking him to be with her. Going her way to make it sound like the two are soulmates or that fate bought them together.
