That also crossed my mind as to why Grogar didn't revive the Storm King.

Well, this is certainly random. Quite a nice story.

Same thing over here.

The best point was that yes the Storm King basically took credit for Tempest's work. Who took over all those kingdoms? The Storm Army, under command of Tempest. Who beat the princesses? Tempest. Who found and empowered the magic staff? Yea tempest, he didn't even known what it was called. The Storm King's only real accomplishment was convincing Tempest he had any powers, she did all the planning AND all the leg work.

Storm King's only real power is his charisma. Which, don't get me wrong, is the power that moves and shapes the land, raises and breaks kingdoms and empires, and ultimately leads to life and death.

But he's also dull as a fucking brick.

9558575 Remember also that he is a loose cannon, something that Grogar would not tolerate.

Shouldn't there be a Grogar tag?

This all happened before he recruited Tempest...derpicdn.net/img/2017/6/28/1473263/large.png derpicdn.net/img/view/2019/1/1/1924189.png derpicdn.net/img/2017/10/30/1573622/large.jpeg derpicdn.net/img/2018/8/7/1800629/large.png

The last one didn't exactly happen that way, but it just represents him attacking the Hippogriffs and making them go into hiding.

The only thing Tempest was a part was the invasion of Equestria, and that was only because of the amount of inside knowledge she had on the place. He was a great threat to the world at large who has been stated to have conquered and destroyed dozens of lands long before ever meeting that edgy unicorn. Also, as seen in this image...

...Tempest is clearly afraid of him, and she wouldn't be that if he was just some goofy charlatan.

As for Tempest, every single thing that made her a threat was his doing. The airships, minions, overpowered crystal orbs were all things he gave her. She was little more than a puppet in the great scope of things.

Mostly because his voice actor is too expensive really.

Same reason Tempest, Skystar, Novo and Capper all didn't return. Doing a Animated movie is one thing but lots of stars won't "lower" them selves to an animated TV series because it doesn't pay enough.

That's what I thought at first, except that they recast the king that DID get revived.

That's because King Sombra only had about five lines of dialogue in season 3, and those were even done by Big Jim (MLP: FIM's show-runner) rather than a professional actor. In the movie, Liev Schreiber did such a great job voicing the Storm King that they didn't want to recast him...or any of the other movie characters for that matter.

Pffft As if i would EVER have that mindless fool join me.

I personally think the Storm King would be an even bigger liability than Sombra. He acts like a child most of the time in my opinion anyway....something Grogar would never tolerate.

I just thought about if Tirek, Cozy, and Chrysalis enlisted the storm king when they betrayed Grogar, what would be different from the events of ending of the end.

In the chapter book a stormy road to Canterlot the Storm King already had his staff before he and Tempest had even met eachother, he also seemed to know about the way the staff worked as he wanted to steal Queen Novo's magic pearl so he could put its awesome transformational powers into the staff to use to make him stronger than before. So, yeah I thought it was weird that he acted like he had no clue what the staff was even for in the movie

Got a feeling Tempest told him how the staff worked.
