Depends on age of kid, from cert.ain age their behavior pattern changes and it may not work anymore. But that human point of view , equines are more group-like? But it would be/feel more natural if a grown up offered protection

What I was talking about wasn’t about the age of the filly and how she should behave, it just felt a little fast to suddenly trust a stranger like that to me.

Alot of behaviour patterns of humans are defined by our biology. whole imprinting/negative imprinting thing. Juniour would trust a stranger more, teen would trust a relative less in human case. In equnies competetive behaviour appears only after maturity.
