Okay at first I wasn't gonna read it but hey i love your work...thought the story would be way worse, turned out fine!:)
Well damn, this was different... in a good way, I promise.
This was written well. I thought it would be funny if you had written a part where one of those little fuckers stung his balls. Kinda hard to miss two plump, soft, warm, and... shivers orbs in between two coot butt cheeks.

Now that I've given this a more thorough read, I heartily enjoyed the build up to this story. It set up the character as nervous, often to the point of going back, but his curiousity gets the better of him. I also like how you described the stings from his perspective. He doesn't know all the workings that go on back there, he focuses more on how he's feeling, and that can be just as important than simple spilling all details of the actions.
I learned something from this.

A+ for tackling something different. Definitely readable, and while we don't have those particular nasties here, I have certainly heard stories.
Oh, one thing that did push me out of the narrative just a little, was the mention of a "cigarette." I might suggest looking for something else to use, more in-theme, instead.

I used a cigarette burn as a comparison for two reasons:
1.) There have been a couple times in my life where I've been stung by insects that legitimately felt like a cigarette burn. It seemed like a good comparison to write.
2.) MLP have incorporated smoking pipes into the show before, either as a prop or as a cutie mark. If pipes are a thing in Equestria, then it's not much of a stretch to assume that cigarettes or cigars could be in existence as well.
